Painting Inspector

 Painting inspector shall be NACE Level-2/BGAS Level-2valid certification and approved by OQ.
 Check and confirm that approved QP&ITP are in place
 Collect and check the product batch certificates, shelf life of Paints.
 Check and confirm that all consumables materials, testing equipment &machinery shall have
certificates.
 Ensure proper storage facility and shades etc. during mixing at site as per manufacturer’s
instructions
 Check all MSDS/SHOC cards are in place for grit and paints.
 Ensure that the work is done in accordance with the approved QP&ITP.
 Carry out all the inspections and Offer to the clients as per ITP inspection stages
 Make all the inspection reports in accordance with the ITP.
 Monitor and record weather condition periodically during blasting and coating.

All Inspection Instruments shall be calibrated.


 Instrument Calibration status shall be submitting to OQ.

Painting Inspector shall ensure that painting system, color code, verified the line list and drawings.
Painting Inspector shall ensure that all incoming materials (Client Materials) having proper tag no’s/
Identification mark prior to release the materials for blasting and painting. Before blasting all weld
spatters, slag, arc strike and sharp edges shall be removed by chipping and grinding (or shall be
report to OQ Mechanical department for their action). In addition, painting inspector shall ensure
that all consumables are inspected properly against the batch certificates.

 Apply to WFT of 200 microns to achieve the required DFT of Min 150 microns
 All edges, corners, weld joints and on the areas inaccessible to spray application shall be stripe
coated by brush prior to spray application.
 Paint shall not apply relative humidity more than 85% and temperature of the surface is less
than 3° C. above dew point of the surrounding air.

Average of all measured value :100% or more of the prescribed dry film thickness.
 Minimum of all measured value :80% or more of the prescribed dry film thickness.
Lower than nominal DFT is not acceptable
All Painting and inspection records shall be maintained and given to client.
