W1006: PIER LOUNGE TYPE 1 BUILDING INSTRUCTIONS
Introduction
This model is of lounge buildings suitable for inclusion
as part of a pier or other terminal structure. The
lounges can be connected to other models using
elevated walkways, and jetways can be fitted to them
for embarking passengers.
Each model contains a number of lounges. All are
constructed in an identical manner.

Read the general building instructions, and then these
instructions, before commencing construction. Apply glue to the three remaining tabs and fit the last
wall (see Fig 4). Ensure that the roof and floor are flush

Main Block
Fold in the tabs around the roof and floor and then fold
the roof and floor themselves inwards (see Fig 1).

The completed main block assembly should appear as
in Fig 5.

Apply glue to the first tab on the roof and floor and fit
the side wall to it (see Fig 2). Ensure that the roof and
floor are flush with the top and bottom edges of the

Base
Fold in the tabs around the floor of the base and then
fold the walls. Apply glue to the tabs around the floor
and glue the walls to them one-by-one. Work towards
the small tab on the end of the walls first (see Fig 6).

Apply glue to the tabs on the roof and floor along the
next side and fit the next wall to them in a similar Fig 6 – Fitting the First Base Walls
manner (see Fig 3). Fold in the small tab on the end of
the wall.

Glue the last wall to the tab on the floor and to the
small tab on the other wall (see Fig 7).

Fold in the tabs around the top of the base. It should
appear as in Fig 8 when completed.

Walkways and jetways can be fitted to the pier lounge
to form a complete pier structure. Use the printed
markings on the lounge walls as a guide when fitting to

Final Assembly
Apply glue to the tabs around the top of the base and fit
to the bottom of the main block, in the position marked
on the underneath of the floor (see Fig 9). Do not push
the tabs on the base completely flat when applying the
glue, so that they will make contact with the floor
when pushed into place. Apply light pressure to the
