On our first day of immersion, Sir Jacob Pataueg took us on a tour of the PNP station, giving us an
overview of its operations and facilities. In the afternoon, he provided us with hands-on training on the
proper techniques of arresting a vigilant. It was an exhilarating and physically demanding activity that I
found both exhausting and enjoyable. Through this experience, I gained valuable knowledge and skills on
the proper procedures and protocols involved in making an arrest.
However, I also learned that applying these techniques in real-life situations can be challenging,
especially when dealing with a resistant or uncooperative individual. Despite our training, there may be
instances where the circumstances make it difficult to execute an arrest smoothly. It made me realize the
complexities of being a police officer, where one must navigate through various emotions and maintain
professionalism in the line of duty. Regardless of the challenges, I believe that as a police officer, it is
essential to prioritize the job at hand and set aside personal emotions to ensure the safety and security of
the community.

This morning, after participating in the flag-raising ceremony, we had the privilege of having a pastor
visit us to conduct a session on SWIM (Spiritual, Emotional, and Physical) wellness. During the session,
the pastor shared a profound story about the significance of Christ's blood drips. According to the pastor,
the purpose of Christ's blood was to cleanse and forgive all the sins committed in our world.
The story served as a powerful reminder of redemption and the transformative power of forgiveness. It
made us reflect on our own actions and the importance of seeking forgiveness and extending it to others.
In the afternoon, PSSG Sir Malayao engaged us in an enlightening discussion about the vision, mission,
and the 7's of the PNP (Philippine National Police), as well as the different branches within the
organization. The 7's, he emphasized, hold immense importance as they serve as valuable guiding
principles for the PNP.
Learning about these principles provided us with a deeper understanding of the values and ethics upheld
by the PNP. It emphasized the significance of integrity, professionalism, and commitment to serving and
protecting the community.
Overall, the day's sessions left a lasting impression on us, instilling a sense of purpose and inspiring us to

On this day, we had the opportunity to assist Kuya Pjong at the police station. Our main task was to work
on the "salandra" process, which involved separating the rocks from the sand. This was an important step
in preparing the tiles for the upcoming application in the Kasambayanihan Hall.
After successfully completing the "salandra," we proceeded to clean the hall in preparation for the tile
installation. It was satisfying to see the progress as the tiles were finally applied, transforming the space
into a more functional and appealing environment.
Later in the afternoon, around 3 o'clock, we shifted our focus to cleaning the surroundings and tending to
the plants. Although the day's tasks were slightly more demanding compared to previous days, we
approached them with dedication and enthusiasm.
Through these activities, we not only contributed to the improvement of the police station and the
Kasambayanihan Hall, but we also developed a deeper appreciation for the value of hard work and the
importance of maintaining a clean and organized environment.
Overall, the day was fulfilling as we witnessed tangible results and felt a sense of accomplishment in our
collective efforts.

Today, our day began with the flag raising ceremony, where we gathered as a team. Following the
ceremony, PSSG Mdm Liezel instructed us to form a group and informed us that we could take a break
while they conducted a meeting with the new PCPT Sir Canceran.
After the meeting concluded, PMAJ Sir Roel assigned us the task of cleaning the Kasambayanihan Hall. We
diligently worked together to ensure the hall was tidy and presentable. It was satisfying to see the
transformation of the space as we cleaned and organized.
The activities of the day were not physically exhausting, as they primarily involved cleaning and engaging
in conversations with the OJT participants from ISU. It provided us with an opportunity to bond and learn
from each other's experiences.
Overall, the day was productive and allowed us to contribute to the cleanliness and maintenance of the
Kasambayanihan Hall. It was a refreshing change of pace from the more physically demanding tasks we
had undertaken in previous days.

Upon my arrival at the police station at 7:10 am, an incident occurred, leading PSMS Sir June to assign me
the task of filling out the criminal complaint. Following that, Sir Doca invited Kath and Kaecy to join him
in the investigation room to document details related to the complaint. Today's activity proved to be
challenging as it required me to learn about the individuals involved and their offenses. Initially, I
hesitated due to the presence of a young child, but ultimately, I persevered and completed the criminal
complaint as assigned to me.

Upon arriving at the PNP station, the ISABELA STATE UNIVERSITY OJT and I assisted Sir Pataueg in
cleaning the surroundings and the kasambayanihan hall, as the officers were engaged in a meeting with
PMAJ Sir Roel. Following their meeting, we were instructed to take a break and return promptly to the
station to avoid causing congestion on the street, as emphasized by PMAJ Sir Roel. The day's activities
focused on maintaining cleanliness and ensuring a smooth flow of operations within the station premises,
reflecting the importance of professionalism and avoiding any potential public embarrassment.

Upon arriving at the station, we had the opportunity to engage in a brief conversation with PCPT Mdm
Soleil and PSSG Sir Rodriguez. To my surprise, despite my initial impression of them being serious and
grumpy, they turned out to be friendly and kind individuals. This interaction allowed us to get to know
their personalities better. In the afternoon, our main task was cleaning and watering the plants, which
provided a refreshing break from other activities. Despite the simplicity of our tasks, it was an enriching
day as we learned not to judge people based on first impressions and discovered the warmth and
approachability of the police officers we interacted with.

Upon arriving at my station, PMAJ Sir Roel assigned us the task of cutting the truck's wheel into two
pieces, which we later placed in the duck habitat. This unique activity allowed us to contribute to the
improvement of the environment for the ducks. In the afternoon, we engaged in a pleasant conversation
with the ISU OJT, exchanging insights and experiences. As the clock struck 3 o'clock, we diligently cleaned
the surroundings and took care of watering the plants. Once we completed our afternoon tasks, we
respectfully requested permission from our supervisor to go home, and upon receiving approval, we
made our way back home, feeling accomplished and satisfied with our day's work.

As we arrived at the station, we organized a boodle fight as a way to celebrate our exit call. The first order
of business was to clean the surroundings, ensuring a pleasant environment for the gathering. We then
headed to the market to purchase the necessary ingredients for the meal we would prepare. With
everyone's help, we prepared the food at the PNP station and transferred it to the kasambayanihan hall,
where we enjoyed the feast together. To add to the festivities, we also engaged in a friendly game during
the boodle fight, creating a joyful and memorable atmosphere for our farewell celebration.

                          WORK IMMERSION HIGHLIGHTS
My work immersion experience was truly remarkable, filled with a multitude of activities that
have practical applications in real life. Each moment spent during this period holds a special
place in my heart. Throughout the immersion, I discovered the importance of being
responsible and showing respect to every individual I encountered. From the very beginning, I
faced challenges, especially on the first day when I was unfamiliar with the behaviors of my
fellow work immersion students. However, as the days went by, we grew more comfortable
with each other's presence and developed a sense of camaraderie. We learned valuable skills,
such as assembling our team efficiently and forming proper lines, resembling the discipline of
a police force. These highlights of my work immersion have significantly shaped me as a
student, providing me with a wealth of knowledge and invaluable experiences.
Overall, this work immersion has been instrumental in my personal and professional growth.
It has taught me the importance of adaptability, teamwork, and professionalism in any given
setting. I am grateful for the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals and to apply
the skills and lessons I acquired during this immersive experience. I will carry these memories
and newfound knowledge with me as I continue my journey, knowing that they have prepared
me to face future challenges with confidence and resilience.

                                      MY REFLECTIONS
How did the experience change me as a person, and how will it help me in the future?
During my work immersion, I had the privilege of acquiring a substantial amount of
knowledge within a limited timeframe, thanks to the invaluable guidance and mentorship
provided by the police officers. Their dedication to teaching us about responsibility and
respect has left a profound impact on me, and I am committed to applying these invaluable
lessons in all aspects of my life. Initially, as I embarked on my first experience of working
with others, I felt a sense of shyness and hesitancy, doubting whether the police officers
would be approachable and friendly. However, as time went on, I discovered that they
were not only welcoming but also genuinely interested in getting to know us. They eagerly
inquired about our chosen courses, and I vividly recall their delight upon learning that
many of my peers were pursuing criminology. Witnessing their enthusiasm further
boosted my confidence and reinforced my belief that the police officers genuinely cared
about our growth and development. Throughout my tenure at the PNP Station, I cherished
the invaluable time spent with these dedicated individuals, who imparted upon us the
importance of responsibility and respect.
