NARRATIVE REPORT
DAY 1
Description
On my first day of our OJT, we were tasked
by the dean of the College of Science to
clean the corner of her office and maximize
the space. And then we proceeded to file
the papers that Ma'am Mercy assigned to
us. Lastly, received some documents to
HR. It was tiring but at the same time fun
because I get to experience new things.
DAY 2
Description
On my second day, M e and my
co-ojt’s are complete. We were
assigned first thing to organize
the files according to their
college and then we distribute
them in their perspective
department and we received
some papers to HR.
DAY 3
Description
On my third day, Sir Marc assigned me and my Co-OJT to edit the
cover photo of the College of Science Facebook page. We spend our
time editing the cover page of the College of Science. And it was
approved by Dean Donna.
DAY 4
Description
On my fourth day, Sir Marc asked us to just change the water of all the plants in the office and
we proceed to deliver some papers to their department. We also remove the valentine’s
decoration on their office since it’s not valentine’s anymore.
DAY 5
Description
This day, Sir Aries
assigned us to observe
and look around the
psychology facilities
on the 5th Floor. We
are tasked to look for
the rooms that have
no teacher and report
it to the admin officer. After that, we received and file some documents. And then we got time to
get to know each other more.
DAY 6
Description
On my sixth day, they just assigned
us to file documents and arrange
them to the cabinet based on their
number, and I wasn’t able to take a
photo but we received some
documents.
DAY 7
Description
On the last day of my first week, Sir Marc
tasked us to just arrange some documents
alphabetically and staple them and then he
assigned me to take a picture of a file and
compile them. I actually learn a new app that
I think will be helpful in the future. So far it
was a good experience for the 1st week of
my OJT Journey. I and my co-ojts are
becoming close to each other as the days go by. And the workplace is comfortable and the people
are kind.
DAY 8
Description
Starting my second week by receiving some documents, and arrange papers based on their year.
After that, they asked us to xerox a file and Ma'am Faye one of the department’s teachers gave us
basic mathematics questions she asked us to solve them to apply what we have learned from the
previous grade
DAY 9
Description
Today, they assigned me and my co-ojt to get a prescription from the
clinic, and then we proceed to receive some documents. We did not do
that much today. We were just talking to kill the time because there is
nothing much to do.
DAY 10
Description
Today, I came to work early and I just arrange some papers and remove the sides and then after
that, we file them. And for my second task, Dean Donna just ask me to grab her order and that’s
for today’s work immersion.
DAY 11
Description
On my eleventh day, we photocopied some documents, I
received some files and we arranged the documents
alphabetically and arranged them based on their year. I wasn’t
able to take that many photos. It slipped my mind because we
are busy finishing the tasks. It was tiring but at the same time
fun.
DAY 12
Description
Today we did something related to our course and I am happy because Sir Marc and Sir Aries
tasked us to deposit something in the bank they are hesitant at first but we insisted to do it because
it’s a new task for us and a new experienced. They never lack to remind us to be careful and beware
of our surroundings and after that, we’re able to learn how to deposit in the bank. And then our
next task was to notarize some documents outside. Lastly, we received some documents.
DAY 13
Description
Today, Sir Marc just assigned
us to file some documents and
arranged them alphabetically,
and then we file and put them
into their perspective folders.
After that, we just talk and Sir
Aries is just giving us advice
and interviewing us.
DAY 14
Description
Finally, last day of my second week. Our task today was
only light we just receive papers several times back and
forth from different departments. Looking back to my
second week I can say that It was pretty much light. And
I get to learn a lot at the same time. Like how to deposit
in the bank, a new app that will help in the future, and
many more. I also learn a lot from my co-ojt. They make
work immersion fun and easy.
MY REFLECTION
My first two weeks of experience on OJT were smooth and fast. At first, I was nervous and shy
because it was my first time experiencing Work Immersion and I was hesitant because it is my
first time having an F to F experience after how many years of being stuck in the pandemic.
Actually, before my first day of OJT, I have already met my co-ojts to report to our department.
And we immediately created a group chat to update each other about what to bring on the first day
of our OJT. On our first day, we kind of had a little introduction to get to know each other. We get
to meet the dean of the College of Science and she already tasked us to clean or maximize the
space in the corner of her office. We were able to finish the task that was assigned to us and it was
a good first-day experience. The following days of our Ojt were getting easy and comfortable. I
and my co-ojts built a bond together. We get to know each other each day that we meet. I learned
so much from the task and advice that our supervisor, and other teachers in the College of Science
Department provide to us. They treat us as if we are not strangers and instead welcome us
wholeheartedly. They even give us food when they are eating or when there is a birthday. We built
an unexpected friendship that I never thought would be possible. I can say that there are no dull
moments with those people that I have been with. Each day is full of laughter, and lessons that I
will forever cherish.
PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED/SOLUTION
• One of the problems that I have encountered is that Sir Marc assigned me to file some
papers and he explained to me but then I noticed that there are the same names. I am not
sure if I am going to comply with it the same or separate. What I did was I approached
him and told him my concern and I ask if I am going to comply with it on the same paper
but then he said that it should comply separately. And I was able to finish the task
correctly.
• Another problem that I encountered was when Sir Marc tasked me to receive some papers
to HR and since it is my first time going around UMAK I still don’t know my way so I
asked Sir where is it. What floor is it? Then I was able to do my task easily and correctly.
SUGGESTIONS/COMMENTS
• If they will accept OJTs in the future I suggest giving them their own facilities on which
they can work in good condition. Because based on my experience on the first few days of
my ojt we are only sitting in the waiting area. There is only a chair and most of the tasks
that were assigned to us are all paper works. We need a table because we are having a hard
time arranging the paper as our laps serve as the table. But eventually, they addressed it
and let us work on the office table or cubicle just right outside the office. It was a good
overall experience to work with them and I am truly grateful for their treatment of us.
