V. Rationale:
Strengthening disaster prevention, mitigation and preparedness is one of the key
strategies to address the vulnerabilities of students/ children inside the school. With the
increasing effect of Climate Change, it is important to strengthen the preparedness of the
school for the benefit of all the beneficiaries. As we all know, the school cannot be
productive without the help of our stakeholders most especially the support of our
barangay and municipal government. Thanks to this program that really addressed the
needs of the school in terms of disaster preparedness. It is really a great help to our
students and parents that our school is really prepared from any hazards that may arise.
Emergency preparedness is really a great struggle of our school because of insufficient fund
to allot for the emergency equipment. We were just so glad that the LDRRMO with the
assistance of the MDRRMO are doing their best to response on this call.

VI. Objectives:
1. Strengthen the preparedness of the school in times of disaster.
2. Provide first aid to students and faculty in times of emergency.
3. Secure emergency equipment to be used by the students and faculty for the ease of
transport from the area to the clinic or to the emergency vehicle.

VII. Methodology/Description
To acquire emergency equipment to be used by the students and faculty and staff in
the school. Some of the equipment will be used for the training most especially in Basic Life
Support, Fire Drill and Earthquake Drill.
VIII. Budgetary Requirements:
1. 2 spine boards
2. 1 stretcher
3. 1 Head Immobilization Device
4. 8 complete set of first aid kit with flashlights and whistles(to be given 1 for each
department)
5. 100 pcs hard hats
6. 1 pc megaphone
7. 3 pcs fire extinguisher( 1 for Principal office,1 for H.E.,1 for ICT room)
8. 3 pcs fire alarms
