Introduction
The seventh semester of the Rural Agricultural Work Experience
(RAWE) Program has begin. All students in this programme are divided
into groups and assigned to various activities under the supervision of
respected teachers and in collaboration with the villagers.
Our college assigned our batch to NDRI in Karnal during the RAWE
programme. Teachers assigned us to NDRI Karnal, where students were
assigned to farmers, and we conducted a village survey as well as
some crop cultivation activities in the field with the farmers.
Weeding, harvesting of horticultural crops, demonstrations on
different propagation methods, livestock disease management,
transplantations, and other activities were all part of the programme.
Acknowledgement
I am Rajat Saroha, student of 4th year in B.Sc. Agriculture feel highly

Weeding activity
Weeding is the process of removing
unwanted plants from a field. The
agricultural field is weeded primarily
using two methods: tilling and mowing.
Weed plants are tilled completely with
their roots and removed during tilling.
Mowing is the process of removing
unwanted plants from a field.
Weeding can be done through weed
prevention, control and eradication.
We performed weeding manually as
well as mechanically.
Parthenium Weeding
Parthenium is considered as one of
the worst weeds responsible for
causing health problems in animals
and humans viz., dermatitis, asthma
and bronchitis besides loss to
agriculture and ecosystem.
Plantation in Village
Importance of plantation:
Plantation is good for the environment.
Everyone knows that trees are a source of
oxygen. They take carbon dioxide and release
oxygen without which the existence of living
beings on Earth is not possible. Providing
fruits and leaves as food for birds, animals
and humans.
Economic Benefits Planting trees not only
provide toxic-free air but also help
economically. Trees are the source for the
production of wood structures, resin, rubber,
honey, fibre, etc. Trees provide economic
support for humans as they are the source for
many industries.
Netting in fish pond
Nano urea spraying on rice field
Nano Urea is a
nanotechnology based
revolutionary Agri-input
which provides nitrogen
to plants. When
compared to conventional
urea prill, it has a
desirable particle size of
about 20-50 nm and more
surface area (10,000
times over 1 mm urea
prill) and number of
particles (55,000 nitrogen
particles over 1 mm urea
prill).

Drone monitoring
Use of drone in agriculture:
Drones can be used for a wide range of tasks in the
agriculture sector, including crop mapping, soil
analysis, irrigation, and pest management.
Spraying drones can help to reduce operator
exposure while also improving the capacity to
distribute chemicals in a timely and spatially
resolved manner. Farmers can save time and water
by recognizing areas that need a lot of water. At the
same time, precision farming techniques can
increase crop yield and quality.
