SINGLE CROCHETS W/ PUFFY
1) Undo the first stitch of the ball to have a long piece of yarn. Count 4 stitches from the ball of yarn.
2) Tie the long piece of yarn obtained next to the 4th stitch to form a circle.
3) Bind off these 4 stitches. For the binding off; pass the stitches not where the piece of yarn is, but
through the stitch next to the first stitch at the other end, and bind the stitches off one after another
passing them through each other. The last stitch is the stitch of binding-off (the binding-off stitches at
the row ends must be marked). If the stitches on the other rows are picked up from right to left or from
left to right, the stitches must be bound off in the same order as they are picked up. If the stitches are
bound off in the opposite direction of how they are picked up, there will be gaps in between.
5) If you want to have a fanged appearance, pick up stitches from behind the stitch as seen in the picture.

2) Wrap yarn on hook; stick into the chain and pass the yarn through the first
stitch.
3) Once again, wrap yarn on hook; pass the yarn through stitches as seen in
the picture.

PLAID MAKING
Plaid pattern is made w/ the yarn qualities of Alize Superlana Maxi Multi Color, Happy Baby Multi Color, and
Cotton Gold Plus Multi Color. Yarns to be used in making any product must be of the same batch. If worked
with yarns of different batches, plaid pattern may not give the result desired. The lengths of the main color
report of each quality (number of stitches or single crochets) vary. The length of color report varies depending
on the person working and needles/hook used. We recommend taking notes when establishing the first plaid.
This facilitates working the following rows. To work plaid pattern with a hook, work single crochets; each yarn
quality and color has a different main color report. Make enough number of chains a few more than the number
of plaid pattern to be established for the product, and start the first single crochets with the main color and
progress as per the sample plaid sketch. To establish a plaid pattern with needles, start the first stitch with the
main color and progress as per the sample plaid sketch.
Main color report: The lengths of the main color report of each quality (number of stitches or single crochets)
vary. The length of main color report varies depending on the person working and needles/hook used. (Red
squares indicate the 1st main color and the white ones the 2nd main color.)
Interim color report: The lengths of the interim color report of each quality (number of stitches or single
crochets) vary. The length of interim color report varies depending on the person working and needles/
hook used. Working the last stitch or single crochet of the interim color on row 2 enables the forming of
plaid pattern. (As in the sample plaid pattern sketch)

As part of technical specifications of Puffy yarns, it has ready stitches
on. Due to this technical feature, it may be crocheted by hand without
needing a needle or hook. PUFFY CABLE KNITTING TECHNIQUE:
Count as many stitches as needed. Row 1: Bend the counted stitches
to the right or left; pass the stitch coming from the yarn ball to back from the front of the stitch in the knit. Follow the same
step on the other rows. BINDING OFF: For binding off, pass the 2nd stitch through the first stitch at the other end, and
then, pass the stitch obtained through the adjacent stitch. Perform the same procedure to the row end. Open up the next
2 stitches remained on the ball and lock by passing it through the last stitch. BLANKET (CABLE): Count 50 stitches from Puffy
15 water green yarn and work as cable knitting. When knit length is 100 cm, bind off the stitches. Make and affix a toy frog

opposite direction of binding-off, there will be gaps in between. Row 2: Pick up two stitches from each stitch. Row 3: Pick up
two stitches from each stitch. Row 4: Pick up 1 stitch once and then, two stitches from stitches. Row 5: Pick up 2 stitch once
and then, two stitches from stitches. Rows 5 to 12: Pick up single stitches from each stitch. Row 13: As of this row, decrease

in the same way. At the end of row, skip 1 row (of holes) at one
side without breaking the yarn, and starting on the adjacent row,
continue passing the stitches (pass them on 1 row from underside
upward, and 1 row from the top to underside). Cover the entire
canvas working in this manner. For the bulging appearance on the
front side of bag, do not bind off the stitches. Thanks to the yarn texture, the stitches will not slip off from the holes.
BACK PIECE: Work as the front piece, but bind off the stitches by passing them through each other in order to have a
flat appearance. Undo the next stitch from the ball and pass it through the last worked stitch for fastening up. SIDE AND
BOTTOM PIECES: Count 22 holes widthwise of the canvas, and cut it through the 23rd hole using scissors. Cut 3 pieces
in the same way (1 for the bag bottom, 2 for the sides). Trim the cut pieces to match with the front and back pieces.
Cover all 3 pieces by passing the stitches as explained above and fasten up the stitches. Join the completed pieces using
a ghost thread or sewing thread of matching color. In order to have a straight look of the top part, pass the stitches on
the last row through each other and bind them off. Sew to fasten the last stitch inside of the bag. Other bags in visuals
are worked in the same way, but with different motifs on their fronts.
