Home/ accommodation
What kind of housing/accommodation do you live in?

To be honest, I have been residing in Vinh city in the heart of Nghe An province
for 17 years. I am occupying a mansion with 3 floors, which is surrounded by
an immaculately kept garden and an infinity swimming pool. No matter how
spacious it is, this housing always brings a cozy and warm feeling to me.

Who do you live with?

Without a doubt, I adore dwelling with my parents and 2 siblings. They are near
and dear to my heart and an inseparable part of my life. Moreover, They are
willing to give me a hand whenever i get into trouble

How long have you lived there?

If my memory serves right, I have settled in this accommodation for the better
part of 3 years. In fact, this villa is considered as the second newest house of my
family. Besides, I could take advantage of the house because it has a plethora of
forward looking infrastructure to facilitate my studying.

What’s the difference between where you are living now and where you have
lived in the past?

To the best of my recollection, the residential house we lived in several years ago
is not as fabulous as the present accomodation. Now, our house is equipped with
a large number of up to the minute appliances like interactive tv, air purifier,
double-door fridge, collapsible bookshelves,... In addition, i am able to view the
stunning and picturesque scenery.

Do you plan to live there for a long time?

Well, i have to admit that i am a little bit of a spontaneous individual. So i have

not ever thought of this matter. if i have to say, i would say that in the future, i
will attend a prestigious university in the North so as to have a better access to a
well-rounded environment. To conclude, I might not be here for a long time.
Which room does your family spend most of the time in?

It is quite a tough question for me since I have the habit of returning home lately
in comparison to the others. Hence, I am not sure which place accounts for the
most time of our family. I reckon that is our cozy living room. It is not hyperbole
to say that we always feel freedom to lounge back in plush armchairs and are able
to take it easy after a strenuous day at work.

Are the transport facilities to your home very good?

Doing a bit of fast thinking, I suppose that the transportation system in my

sprawling urban area to my accommodation is quite up to par. Since it has a
variety of vehicles in my residential hall such as buses, autoinles, bicycles,...
Regardless, it is frequently overcrowded and not very punctual

Do you prefer living in a house or a flat?

Actually, I show a great preference for settling in a private house rather than an
apartment. Because it has an airy and spacious place for family reunion to let off
some steam and take it easy after a hectic day.

Please describe the room you live in.

I have an artistic temperament so my bedroom is enclosed by my vibrant artwork.

This lovely tucked-away bedroom may be not spacious, but it's filled with
character, colour and a personal lived-in touch. I have the habit of making use of
every corner, by hanging reading lights above the bed or creating D.I.Y-style
bookshelves

It is quite an intriguing question for me. To be honest, the place that accounts for
the most time of my day and is also my all-time favorite area is my bedroom.
Since I did up with a number of outstanding ornaments, it has become my little
kingdom where I am able to escape the rat race.
What part of your home do you like the most?

Needless to say, It’s definitely my own bedroom. It’s where I can do whatever I
want without getting disturbed and irritated by others. This space goes by the
name comfort zone or hideaway. After a bustling working day, I just crave to be
alone in my bedroom, chilling out with a movie or taking up sports .

Part 2
1. Describe your favourite famous person
You should say:
Who this person is.
How you know about this person.
What this person is famous for.
Why you are interested in this person.

As a music enthusiast, I am a big fan of Son Tung MTP, he is considered as an

inspirational icon for young people and achieved phenomenal success as a
prominent rising star. Absolutely, he is also the only person I crave to meet in real
life.

He is hailed as the prince of Vietnamese pop stars and recently has become the
first ever artist in my nation to be listed on Top Trend Youtube, after releasing his
song: Lac Troi. He possesses a good-looking appearance with chubby cheeks and
a dazzling smile. In addition, he has a sense of fashion, and is always a trendsetter
in street style outfits. He taps into a number of different markets by exploring
multiple genres such as hip-hop, EDM and pop, meaning that he is able to reach
out to a larger audience.
I still vividly remember from 10 years ago when I first catched a glimpse of his
song and I was instantly captivated by how catchy the song is with a very
memorable melody. His unique vocals put the icing on the cake.

I was hooked by his outstanding performance. It seemed like he was pouring his
heart out and burning all passion and enthusiasm for the songs. I really like the
way he sings and the way he expresses the feeling of the song. To my way of
thinking, he has been working seriously to produce high quality music products. I
really hanker after travelling to Saigon – an exquisite and bustling city and enjoy
his performances with my own eyes rather than watching them on my laptop’s
screen. If I grasp a chance to meet him, I will give him a warm hug and say thank
you for always taking care of his fans and inspiring young people to be innovative
and just do what they love.

The main striking trait that really makes him appealing to me is his strong
resilience and perseverance over hardships. He's a real inspiration for the younger
generation that to never give up and follow your dreams even when going
through ups and downs

Part 3:
1. Would you like to be a famous person?
Well, the idea sounds so tempting. Personally, i am captivated by being in the
limelight. I am capable of making a killing by doing shows and starring in
commercials. Even since i was a tiny girl, i have dreamt of being featured on the
cover of renowned magazines.

2. What are the hardships of a celebrity?

Being famous or a celebrity can attract stalkers. We've all heard about those nasty
cases of celebrity stalking that have gone out of control. Famous people are often
followed or harassed by phone, email, or mail by fans or followers who cross the
line and become obsessed. Obsession can turn into threats and even physical
harm.

3. What should celebrities do to protect their privacy?

As a mater of fact, such a carefree individual, i have not had any clues about this.
To the best of my knowledge, they should wear mask, sunglasses, put on caps and
choose a shade color of clothes so that normal people hardly recognize their face.
Furthermore, when it comes to social network platforms, they might establish a
strong password to steer clear of hackers and atrocious guys to steal their personal
and urgent information.

2. Describe a time when you felt proud of a family member

You should say:
When it happened
Who the person is
What the person did
And explain why you felt proud of him/her

Family plays a tremendous role in everyone’s life. There are countless

circumstances when my family members have made me take pride. When I first
catched a glimpse of this cue card, the individual that sprang to my mind was my
daughter, Khanh Linh.

She is in the teens. Currently, she has been relocating herself to an esteemed
secondary school learning institution for the better part of 1 year. Besides, she
possesses an appealing appearance with a slim body and dazzling smile. In
addition, she is a book fanatic so she has a taste for reading anything and
contemplating meaningful and fabulous messages derived from those materials.
As a result, she has acquired an in-depth knowledge into almost every topics from
daily things to elaborate stuff such as the universe, geometry, geography,
literature…

Fortunately, in the national competition of English mastery which examines the

level of using foreign language including toefl and pet, she got victory over 300
candidates and won the first prize with 250 score. Wow, it was such an
outstanding achievement. Furthermore, recently, she keeps up the good work to
become the top student obtaining the most exceptional score. The headteacher
paid compliments for her effort and performance. I am too arrogant to become her
sister. Moreover, i am a big fan on her on account that at a tender age, she is
feasible to go through hardship by perseverance, discipline, and determination to
be on top of the world.

When i hang around with her and hold a conversation with linh, I keep reminding
myself that striving towards success despite reaching perfection is out of the
question and to be as prominent and talented as her.

Part 3
1. When would parents feel proud of their children?
To my mind, parents are arrogant when they do something. They take pride when
their kids phase in walking or talking at the age of toddler. Adults are likely to
perceive delighted as their daughter embarks on their school or college and gives
their best in studies and other activities. Moreover, since children are able to seek
their first job, they feel proud of them, as they start making a living on their own.

2. Should parents reward children? Why and how?

Rewarding kids for meeting certain goals is often effective. It can enable them to
know what to do and feel acknowledged and compensated for their diligent work.
Besides, Parents see rewards as a approach to get kids going in the right direction
on the path to establishing good habits. Moreover, getting rewards releases
chemicals in the brain that make a person paint the town red, so parents see their
kids are ecstatic. This makes the parent feel content, too.

3. Is it good to reward children too often? Why?

I don’t think parents should reward children too often as it can make them feel
entitled. Buying them toys, gadgets as rewards can make them materialistic.
Younger kids may become too focused on the reward and forget about the reason
they are being rewarded for. They can even start negotiating with parents for
every small task they do.

4. On what occasions would adults be proud of themselves?

Adults have a number of occasions when they pride of themselves, like a
promotion at their job, buying their first accomodation on their own, getting their
children into good schools, doing social work like assisting others in developing
their potential talent or a friend in need. It would be probably straightforward
thing that they work productively and could stay happy to go through the
hardships in the stressed life.

3. Describe a time when you gave some helpful advice to someone

You should say
Who you gave advice to?
What the advice was?
Why you gave the advice?
And how you felt about the advice?
Well, if my memory serves right, i offered my bestie sound advice in the first
semester of grade 10. She is Ha Trang, my table mate. Because we have a lot in
common with each other from the fashion style, film gout to study daily routine.
At first glance, she is not shy to strike up a conversation with me and help me get
accustomed to the new learning environment. She is such an approachable guy.

At that time, she had difficulty in the band of Ielts speaking and reading. In
addition, she was burnt out and not mentally alert to study and crack for incoming
examinations. Finally, I was determined to incentive her to lift the spirit and stay
focused on her studies by creating and implementing the reasonable study routine
so that Trang was able to boost her productivity and efficiency. Moreover, i
forced her to seek 4 English synonyms and get the habit of practicing English
speaking accompanied by me on a daily basis. As a result, she made progress and
gain an outstanding band 7.0

It seemed to me that it was fabulous and nothing could beat it. She and I felt
ecstatic and over the moon. On top of that, thanks to my effort and my buddy’s
diligence , she received a top scholarship from a prestigious education institution
in Canada. Until now, we have distance obstacle, we endeavor to reach out to
each other via social network platform regularly.

Part 3
1. What kind of advice do parents give to their children?
As parents want nothing but the best for their children, they always offer their
children many kinds of advice and the most prevalent type, I acknowledge , is
about studying. They always instill in their children's minds that they have to
study intensively in order to land a rewarding job in a state-owned organization in
the future. In addition to that, they usually give their children sound advice about
romantic relationships so that they have to choose the right partner so that they
will not end up being broken-hearted.

2. How do experts give advice to others? (e.g a doctor gives advice to patients)
From my perspective, experts give others advice only when they acquire an in-
depth insight into the problems of these individuals. For instance, doctors are
likely to struggle to offer medical advice to their patients who are suffering from
illness without listening to patients' complaints about their health and undergoing
a medical examination. They need to know the health condition of one person
before giving them advice.
3. What advice do parents give to teenagers about making friends?
To the best of my knowledge, parents usually advise their children not to make
fair-weather friends so that they cannot be taken advantage of. Also, parents
usually advise their children to play with someone who is studious and
disciplined because they crave their children to learn from these good
personalities. Friends who have a superiority complex are not usually advised to
make friends with.

4. Whose advice is more helpful? Parents’ or friends’?

Frankly speaking, both are inseparable parts of our life. Because they are willing
to stay through thick and thin when we get into trouble. However, i am inclined
towards my parents' advice. They are always the first guy springing to my mind
when I have difficulty. In addition, they never go behind my back and lend me a
hand with a wholehearted spirit.

4. Describe a time when you had to do something difficult, and you

succeeded
You should say:
What is was
How you did/completed it
Why it was difficult And how you felt about doing it

In this day and age, there a numerous advent of break-through, especially

technology. Some people have difficulty in exploit it in a right was. And i am not
the exception but it happened several years ago. To the best of my recollection, as
i passed the MOVER test with flying colors, my parents gave me a present for
me. That is SAMSUNG J7 – a smart phone. At the same time, i was not a tech-
savvy individual therefore it would be rocket science to adopt new technologies

Although it was said to be very user-friendly, I got into trouble using it at first.
The reason is that iOS and android are different in many ways: interface, icons of
applications, and after using iPhone 5 for quite a long time, I struggled a lot to get
used to the android system of this phone.

When I first got the phone, I couldn't even work out how to do straight-foward
things such as adding contacts to my phone. I was totally baffled. The problem
was that there were no specific instructions for doing such stuff, so I had my
bestie, Son Tung being a device geek, instructed. Due to his assistance, I was
enlightened noticeably. I had a clue of using this gadget like navigating the
websites, booking mark a webpage or video conferencing

Once I was capable of using it smoothly, it turned out to be way too awesome.
The phone has an outstanding design and quite state of the art. I can fit it easily
into my pocket. Besides, the bigger screen allows me to enjoy videos, and I might
get photos with superior quality and save a lot of them on my phone. Currently, i
have just upgraded my phone to Samsung Z Fold – it is considered as the most
newest edition of this brand name

Part 3
1. What kinds of jobs require people to be confident?
Well, i suppose that all jobs need to be confident, no matter how much
challenging or straightforward it is. This possession plays a vital role to decide to
become an outstanding employee or a disappointing staff member. Without self-
confidence, some employees may fear speaking up to pool their ideas or they may
have butterflies in their stomach while presenting. Self-confidence is also what
allows us to discuss concerns with your supervisor or provide feedback.

2. How important is being confident in work?

You are able to do more: You’ll be more likely to engage in challenging, but
manageable projects. This will push the boundaries of your comfort zone, which
will encourage you to aim for, and achieve, new goals. These are both values of
characteristics of successful workers. Most importantly, employers will learn to
trust you with a project and know you’re likely going to be good at motivating
others as well. Besides, Confidence allows you to speak concisely and with
clarity. Professionals who communicate with confidence can convey what they
want to their clients and co-workers in a clear and efficient manner. Effective
communication is critically important for career advancement.

3. Which one do you think is more important? Confidence or knowledge?

In my opinion, both elements are indispensable parts of our business or career
path. Knowledge alone may not give us success. Even if we have expertise, lack
of confidence results in not utilizing the knowledge, and hence wastage of
resources. Or confidence alone is not sufficient to maintain success. To sustain
success in any field, one must work hard to gain and update the required
knowledge. Sometimes, overconfidence without having the appropriate
knowledge results in negative consequences

4. How do you help children stay focused?

Because multitasking impairs concentration, it’s important to reduce extraneous
distractions. For example, do homework at a designated desk or table in a quiet
room with the TV off, the phone in another room, and the laptop shut unless it’s
needed to complete a homework assignment. Parental monitoring programs can
automatically shut down Internet access after a set amount of use. As kids get
older, parents can shift to using self-monitoring software so teens can
independently manage their time. This way kids don’t get sucked into a time
vortex on Instagram or Snapchat.

5. Describe a historical event from your country

You should say:
What event it is
When it happened
Who or what was involved in it
And explain why you think it is an important historical event

So this question is really giving me a hard time. I actually don’t know the first
thing about history, kind of embarrassing to admit this. Of course, I took History
when I was in school but most of that stuff kind of went over my head. So this
question is really difficult for me.

Having said that, I guess I could tell you about a historical era or more correctly
an event that everybody is supposed to know about, it is the Independence day of
VN. This event took place on September 2nd 1945. And of course, I learned
about this event extensively when I was in school, given it was important.
However, it has been a while, so my recollection of what my teacher taught me
may not be very accurate, so bear with me here.

So basically before Independence day, VN was under the oppression of the

French colonial empire. But after this Independence day, VN managed to break
the shackles of colonization and then became a sovereign country. I think this
event is kind of usher in an era of economic prosperity, and everybody’s lives
became dramatically better. So I guess I’m not that interested in history or this
event as I was saying, but I think I should be. I think it would give me an
appreciation for our nation and our heritage, our heart, our forefathers.”
Part3:
1. Do your parents think learning history is important?
Yes, without a doubt. My parents and my family in general always consider
history as a vital and essential subject. Because it instills in people a sense of
patriotism and appreciation for peace and order. Without history, they reckon that
we can not take out salutary /ˈsæljəteri/ lessons from past failures. Moreover, the
study of history will let you know about your ancestors, where they were from,
where they had lived before, what they have done, etc. It helps us to find the
background of us and the beginning of our pedigree.

2. What are the benefits of museums?

Museums offer opportunities for people to compare and contrast what is
important for them which leads to higher critical thinking skills. An art museum
will contain various types of artwork and as they stroll through an exhibit there
will be differences in the style, subject matter, and techniques demonstrated in the
artwork which can foster intriguing conversations between family members and
also enhance visitors’ understanding, appreciation and enjoyment of arta

3. Are museums in your country free of charge?

As far as i know, most museums and exhibitions in Vietnam are free .Museums
preserve and display our artistic, social, scientific and political heritage. Everyone
should have access to such important cultural resources as part of active
citizenship, and because of the educational opportunities they offer to people of
every age. If museums are not funded sufficiently by the government, they will be
forced to charge for entry, and this will inevitably deter many potential visitors,
especially the poor and those whose educational and cultural opportunities have
already been limited. Free access is essential to provide freedom of cultural and
educational opportunity.

4. Which way is better for learning history? Through reading books or visiting
museums?
Personally, i show a great preference for studying history by going to museum
displays. Because just reading long paragraphs and black-and-white images is
really monotonous and not able to stimulate our cognitive development. Besides,
Museums are probably better for learning because they’re more interactive,
visual, and allow us to sort of wander between exhibits, rather than reading
everything in order, like you have to do with a book.
5. Do major cities in your country all have museums?
Yes, 100%. The Vietnamese government pays close attention to invest in the
construction of museum exhibitions and displays. On the grounds that ancient
artefacts and objects are able to attract a significant number of tourists and
subsequently generate a sizable income. Besides, museums have greatly
contributed to our cultural growth, which betters the understanding of our
heritage and fills the gap between different generations. As a result, we are able to
take pride in the essence of who we are as a community and fluently
communicate it with the world.

6. Describe a place in the countryside that you visited

You should say:
Where it is
When you visited this place
What you did there
And explain how you feel about this place

Candidly speaking, I am an introverted girl, so in general, spaces with tranquility

just enchant me the most. That is the reason why i am captivated by my
grandparents garden in the countryside. However, living in a bustling city like
Vinh with almost every corner full of chaos and motorbike horns doesn't give me
a lot of chances to immerse myself in such an enjoyable atmosphere.

So, today, I would like to talk about a unique place with perfect quiet and peace
that I always wish to come, especially when my life just throws me a curveball
and pushes me to the depth of despair. It's my dad's well-manicured garden,
which is nestled in a peaceful provincial hometown. To be honest, my dad is a
dedicated florist. So, since I was very little, I have been spending most of my free
time excitedly helping my dad with various gardening tasks, such as seeding,
getting rid of weeds, and trimming undesired stems for chrysanthemums.

In springs, my dad's garden would be packed with gorgeously blossoming flowers

such as white and lacy heath-bells, burgundy red dahlias, and mellow yellow
chrysanthemums. I'm always enraptured by this glorious moment.

Part3:
1. Is there anything special about the countryside in Vietnam?
Actually, countryside in my nation have a high sense of neighbor. Living together
in small communities in villages with a slow-paced but open daily life, people in
the countryside could interact with each other every day and everywhere. They
meet and talk about everything they know, they care and they wonder how the
other's life’s happening too. Therefore, they could help each other easily in case
of difficulties or trouble. Rural citizens are simple, amiable, and always willing to
give a hand towards others. Daily communication has contributed to a very close-
knit neighborhood among people in rural areas.

2. What do people usually do when going to the countryside?

Actually people in Vietnam’s countryside also have a strong belief in ancestors
and religion, especially nature or supernatural factors like heaven, fire, lightning,
waters, mountains, etc. People occasionally go to pagodas and temples,
particularly in festivals or Tet Holiday for wishing health, luck, and success for
their families. Besides, they are likely to take a stroll on the field and take some
appealing photographs. So that they could breath in a fresh air as well as
witnessing the stunning scenery of nature and paddy field.

3. Do you think people will live in the countryside in the future?

Yes, to my perspective, there will be a dramatic climb in the number of peoplr
residing in the countryside in the near future. On account that, they are sick of
hectic pace of life in sprawling urban areas and crave to get away from hustling
and bustling city life. In addition, the cost of living here is affordable and they
have no difficulty in landing a job or stable salary employments

7. Describe a situation when something in your house was broken or stopped

working
You should say:
What it was?
What happened?
When it broke/stopped working?
And explain how did you fell about it?

I am going to tell you about one time when my television was out of order. It was
a few months ago and unfortunately during the spreading of the pandemic
COVID-19 period. This happened out of control and that was the first time my
family had to encounter this problem.

At that time, we were entering into a voluntary lockdown with social distancing
to decelerate the outbreak of the novel coronavirus. So we were determined to do
something to cheer us up during the quarantine. My parents came up with an idea
that it was time to rearrange things around our living room and tidy all of those
cupboards. Suddenly, during cleaning, my siblings splattered water and gel of
soap on the surface of our sony television.

At the drop of the hat, I wiped dry with a soft tower the surface of the television
in order not to cause electricity leakage. Afterwards, I attempted to put on the
button but it did not take effect. After consulting with a tech-savvy individual, we
figured out that our television was broken and in need of any proper installment
and repair. As luck would have it, the time of lockdown was over and our
television was under warranty in time.

As a result, my sony television has been working again and my brother promised
that he would never touch this appliance one more time.

Part3:
1. What are the common home appliances that people use these days?
As far as i am concerned, the prevalent home appliance is the washing machine.
In Vietnam, i realize that almost every accommodation have dedicated laundry
rooms with a washer and dryer or a set in the basement. A washing machine is a
huge time saver over hand washing. We do not have to sit and monitor the
washing process. We can load your clothes in the machine, start the cycle and
walk away. You can carry out another task and then return to your machine to
hang clothes to dry or put them in the dryer.

2. Do you think modern technology makes people lazier?

I must admit that there are times when technology makes me lazy all day and
keeps me occupied with unnecessary things, but overall it has made my life a lot
more straightforward than before. Easy access to information, quick transport,
gadgets, and online jobs, have all made our lives easier and less time-consuming.
Technology opens up new possibilities where hard workers become more
efficient and lazy people become even lazier. It all depends on the individual’s
mindset and how you look at things.

3. What can people do to protect their equipment from technical problems?

People should protect their equipment from dust and get it serviced regularly to
steer clear of any technical glitches. Because Dust, liquid spills and other
substances can interfere with equipment and stop it running properly. Besides,
they should also read the instructions meticulously before using the equipment.
4. When an electronic item of yours does not work, would you repair it or buy a
new one?
Well, it depends on certain circumstances. I have been living on a tight budget,
therefore, i often opt for mending it in a reliable store or having that appliance
under warranty in the official institution. Otherwise, i will purchase a new one to
replace the broken stuff if there is no point in repairing the old electronic item.

5. Are you good at handling problems on your own?

Actually, i am not excel in repairing equipment or home appliances. If it is a
minor problem, i am able to address the error. However, if i do not have expertise
in resolving it, i will take to a trustworthy guy who is capable of handling it more
efficiently and rapidly.

8. Describe a time when you were preparing for a happy event

You should say:
What the event was
Where you had it
Who helped you to organize it
And how you feel about it

Most events require some form of preparation, whatever they might be. Whether
they might be birthdays, anniversaries or fancy dinners. There must be some
planning involved in making it successful. The event i am going to tell you today
is no exception.
Before my 15th birthday was about to take place, The first step was choosing a
theme. While not all parties have to have a theme, it’s encouraged to think of one
to make the party more unique and align with my interests. It gets the whole
family involved in the brainstorming process. Afterwards, my parents were
responsible for store-bought birthday invitations and sending them out. Following
this, i and my close besties determined to pick an affordable and appealing
location, it is a convention in the proximity of my residence. 5 days before party,
my family were shopping for decorations and stickers, party favors , printing the
birthday poster to do up the celebration. Finally, I designed board game on my
own and sparked creative ideas to perform an outstanding singing performance to
cheer everyone up.

Consequently, we had a myriad of memorable moments and i was received a

number of meaningful, glamour gifts from guests. The party was over the moon
and impeccable. After holding that party, I felt exhausted and out of energy but
my heart was full of joy and excitement because it is my birthday and I would be
the main character of the event later.

Part3:
1. How can parents help children to get organized?
Instilling a sense of organization in your child may sound like a hefty task to
many parents. However, by infusing daily routines with fun — from making
homework time cozier to celebrating special days in an exciting planner, child
can learn how to keep things organized in a breeze. To get started, it is essential
for parents to introduce checklists to children. Even if it's as simple as "3 Things
To Do Before Bed" or "What To Take On Vacation," creating and referring to
lists together will develop your child's ability to strategize tasks and organize
time.

2. On what occasions do people need to be organized?

It is a tricky question to me because i have no clue about this. If i have to respond,
i would say that people require to be organized almost every day, especially your
vital occasions like vacation or business trips. I believe that being organized may
lead to feeling more in control and having more mental energy. Getting organized
will feel like a weight has been lifted off your shoulders.

/9. Describe an interesting discussion that you had with friends

You should say:
Who you spoke with
Where you were
What the conversation was about
And explain why you think it was interesting

So when i first look at the topic card that sprang to my mind was a few months
ago, when i had to be in preparation for English project at my education
institution. You know, i am major in English, therefore, the score of English
presentation will account for a large fraction of my academic transcript.

The person i held an intriguing conversation with was my tablemate, Thu Uyen.
She is really approachable. Besides, we have been residing in the same alley so
we go way back. In addition, she has a sense of humour so that she always makes
me laugh hysterically.
At that time, our topic revolved around entertainment. After arguing and
discussion with the other members in my group, we were determined to cherish
the popularity and talent of Vietnamese singers. Two days later, we gathered in a
cozy and affordable coffee stall in the proximity of my educational institution for
the preparation process. Needless to say, those meetings were fun and full of
laughter since he had been so used to being together before.

During the meetings, many notions were brought up and talked over such as
whether we should add the constant effort and perseverance of the pop stars into
one of the table contents or not and whether we should mention Son Tung as a
symbol of a prominent rising star or not. Everything went through with the six of
us as easily as a piece of cake despite some minor disagreements in the
beginning. I suppose the most efficient way to tackle all the disaccords is to talk
them through honesty and logic.

And well, then day came and obviously our six members made a perfect
performance on stage in front of the other classmates and our teacher. I’m not
sure about other guys and girls in my group but for me, I was really satisfied.
Thanks to some conflicts and wise solutions during the preparation process, I had
learned well how to cooperate with others effectively. Besides, this group
presentation is a glue that helped to strengthen the friendship bonds among us.
Until now, those guys and girls are still my best friends and we often meet up for
some drinks and remind one another of the old days in school.

Part3:
1. When do children normally form their own views?
Well, i suppose that children should be encouraged to have their own ideas when
they start school. At that time ,kids can not always be reliant on their parents so it
is essential to think for themself and even make their own decisions in some
cases.

2. Do children have strong opinions?

Of course. Actually, little children enter the possibility of forming substantial

3. Should parents request their kids to obey them?

Yes, without a doubt. Because They're older and wiser- They have a few years on
you, which means they have seen more of the world and have gathered a wealth
of experience- which shouldn't be underestimated. Some hypothesis idicate that
parental restrictiveness and unsupportive behaviors are negatively related to the
child’s interpersonal understanding. In this kind of behavioral setting created by
the parent, the child is not stimulated to consider and understand others’ points of
view, as the perspective-taking skills expected from the child are relatively
simple.

4. In what industries do you think communication is a necessary skill?

The ability to communicate effectively with superiors, colleagues, and staff is
essential, no matter what industry you work in. Workers in the digital age must
know how to effectively convey and receive messages in person as well as via
phone, email, and social media. So I reckon that marketing, telesales and
administration will force employees to have expertise in communication.

10. Describe a lesson that you remember well

You should say:
What the course was about
Where you had it
Why you remember it
And explain why it impressed you a lot

I have been asked to talk about a lecture which i am able to vividly remember and
the class which i can not help telling you is an ielts preparation class,
accompanied by my teacher Calendar. It must have been around a fortnight ago
when I enrolled in the lesson.

It was extremely captivating lesson by virtue that not only did we have a whale of
time but we also acquired a number of highly-advanced lexical items and
ameliorated our skimming and scanning skills. One of the core reasons that the
lesson still remains in my memory is probably the fact that my tutor did her
utmost to exponentially arrange everything. Although there was nothing peculiar
or exotic about lesson, i am capable of bearing it in my mind. hardly had we
entered the classroom or scarcely had the lecture phase in when she grabbed my
attention and aroused my interest by the photo of Son Tung Mtp, my idol singer.
As you might have already gathered. The topic of the lesson revolved around
fame and entertainment. Then having been in search of available questions about
this aspect, i learned fancy words related to this topic such as profound influence,
prominent singer, music genres, being in the limelight,...to name but a few. In the
long run, we attempted to memorize all these words effortlessly. What made
lessons more spentudous is that the queries for discussion which is an
indispensable part of every lessons are really intriguing and provoking. Because
his give vocabularies had a catchy and exotic pronunciation, i was capable of
remembering them in a short time and speaking without difficulty.

Beside, she offered me a magic technique and expertises to pass the ielts test with
flying colors. It bar none blew up my mind. Thanks to her enthusiastic teaching
and instruction day in day out, i have been acquiring a breadth of knowledge
about english. This lesson will stamp on my memory.

Part3:
1. Which can help you remember things better, words or photos?
Actually, I belong to visual intelligence. Therefore, Photos and images are the
most impeccable approach to assist me in recollecting or bearing in my mind.
When it comes to my notebook, i have the habit of drawing any adorable
illustrations to help me memorise the new vocabulary.

2. Why do some people have better memory?

Despite frequent rehearsal, some people have better memories simply because
they encode more information in the first place. One person may recall the
experience of helping a friend move boxes in general terms. ... The second helper
recalls more information because they encoded the event in greater detail to begin
with.

3. Why can some people remember some little things in life?

Well, it is quite a tough question for me because it is an unfamiliar knowledge to
my area. To the best of my knowledge, some people are inclined towards
memorising tiny things on the grounds that they have a prodigious and long-term
memory. Besides, being in a mood could facilitate a recollection of little things
because emotions determine the productivity of brain and conscious mind.

11. Describe an item of clothing that someone gave you

You should say:
What the clothing was
Who gave it to you?
When you got it
And explain why this person gave you the clothing

When I caught a glimpse of the cue card, the first piece of clothing sprang to
mind was a maxi dress which was such an intriguing 16th birthday from my
parents. Actually, they purchased this item from a handicraft store in the
proximity of my residence. When i received this present, i was over the moon and
astonishing. Because the kind of dress catered for my taste. This beach dress was
designed to be my go-to summer dress because it will keep me cozy and stylish
all day long. Refined and sophisticated, this item cut from a light and soft fabric
channels a romantic mood. Hence, It is loose enough to be comfortable without
seeming baggy, and it is snug enough to be captivating. This dress comes with a
belt tie that fastens in the front which gives me a taller and slimmer look. The
carefree and effortless ensemble exudes a cool vibe, perfect for summer, and the
Bohemian style will give me the feeling of a nomadic spirit. In addition, i will
have the height of fashion if i put on ankle boots for a perfect winter look, or grab
a pair of flats and a cute straw hat. On the other hand, my parents reckon that it
was the most impeccable gift to mark the most vital milestone, 17th birthday and
also make me appealing in the party. As this piece of clothing came from my
family, i will treasure it and wear it on special occasions.

Part3:
1. Have you ever given clothes to others?
Yes, of course. Well, i have the habit of donating my old items of cloth to the
impoverished children in the remote areas. In this day and age, clothes are part
and parcel of our life. Besides, in mountainous places, the weather is frigid and
freezing, amounts to under 17 Celsius. They are poorly-stricken, so the children
could lack the amount of warm clothes. FRom my perspective, clothes for charity
purposes could particularly cozy up to their body and protect them against runny
noses and sneezes.

2. Why do people dress casually everyday but dress formally at work?

Wow, this question is quite understandable. As a member of an organization,
people serve as a representative of the company to the public. Whether making
service calls, visiting clients or speaking with customers in a store, our
appearance reflects on the business. Dressing professionally helps us present a
positive, professional image of your organization to others.
3. Why do people from different countries wear different clothing?
This question is a piece of cake. To my mind, They have different histories and
traditions . Hence they wear various types of clothes. Moreover , people in
different places will experience unfamiliar types of climate. For example, Warm
clothes are worn in European countries. However, in Vietnam, we tend to put on
cotton clothes and short-sleeves items so that they are capable of keeping us
away from the sweat trap with its moisture wicking properties. On account that
our summer lasts exactly 6 months.

4. What are the advantages and disadvantages of wearing uniforms at work and
school

Well, Putting on formal attire will have both adverse effects and merits. On the
one side, uniforms are feasible to reduce the barriers that exist between students,
colleagues. To illustrate more clearly, by establishing a uniform policy, it
becomes possible to equalize the learning situation because there are fewer visual
differences. On the other hand, the requirement to wear uniforms might limit self-
expression opportunities. It would mean that people do not grasp any chance to
opt for all-time favourite clothes to wear to match their personality.

12. Describe about a selfie which you catch in your mobile phone on your
favourite occasion
You should say:
When you took it
What type of camera you used
Why you took the photo
And explain whether you liked this photo or not.

When I first catched a glimpse of the topic, the first thing that sprang to my mind
was my family portrait in Cua Lo Beach. At that time, i passed the high school
entrance examination with flying colors and i have become a student in an
English specialization class. Therefore, my parents were determined to treat
ourself to a quick weekend getaway to escape the daily grind.

We use my Iphone 13 promax camera to capture the impressive memory of my

family. This was a priceless possession to me and I would like to keep it with me
for the rest of my life.I have seen it thousands times and still I look at it with an
indescribable delight. In the picture, everyone was smiling cheerfully. My
father’s eyes were sparkling and the corners of his eyes crinkled. To tell the truth,
it was very rare to see my father’s smile as he always kept a serious facial
expression. Needless to say, my mother was standing next to him with warm
happiness glowing in her face. My younger brothers and sisters were not really
photogenic because they were bursting out laughing for a reason I could not
remember clearly.

I have to admit that I know very little about the technical aspects of cameras and
to be honest I take photos from my own preference rather than maintaining
aspects a professional photographer would do. Though the photo was not
professionally shot, it is still the most treasured photo I could have.

Part3:
1. Do Vietnam people like to take photos of themselves?
Well, it depends on the individual's hobbies. As far as i am concerned, the young
show a great preference for taking selfies every single day, especially in the
teenager’s age. Because they crave to update their image or cover’s picture on
social network platforms on a daily basis and create a appealing profile to the
others. Nevertheless, a majority of senior people have not a taste for taking
photos of themself on account that they reckon they are not photogenic.

2. What kinds of devices do people like to use for taking photos these days?
To be honest, it is a straightforward question to me. To my mind, people have a
taste for using iphone camera to capture their photos or images. In fact,
everybody can get the hang of it and create an impeccable shots by a flick of a
white button. Besides, the quality is superior and consumers would opt for any
filters they are into

3.How often do young people take photos when travelling?

Well, it is quite an unfamiliar knowledge to my mind. I suppose that they will get
photos on a daily basis. when it comes to travelling, the youngsters usually opts
for breathtaking and picturesque scenery. So they tend to take photos as they
come into any exquisite areas to capture their impressive moments

13. Describe a gift you would like to buy for your friend
You should say:

And explain why you chose that gift

mind was a maxi dress, which was the most wonderful gift i sent to my lovely
buddy for her 16th birthday. Her name is Thu Uyen, she always stays through
thick and thin with me and is the most reliable confidant in my mind. Actually, I
purchased this item from a handicraft store in the proximity of my residence.
When she received this present, she was over the moon and astonishing. Because
she is a fashion enthusiast and this kind of dress was the fashion icon of trendy
items at this time. The Bohemian beach dress was designed to be go-to summer
dress because it will keep her cozy and stylish all day long. Refined and
sophisticated, this item cut from a light and soft fabric channels a romantic mood.
Hence, It is loose enough to be comfortable without seeming baggy, and it is snug
enough to be captivating. This dress comes with a belt tie that fastens in the front
which gives her a taller and slimmer look. At that moment, she had to be in
preparation for ielts test and also preoccupied with class assignments day in day
out. Consequently, She left little time for herself and hobby. That is why i opt for
this present to cheer her up. Besides, this dress is affordable and not as exorbitant
as my given expectation. To conclude, I hope that this dress is able to make her
appealing and exquisite in any special occasions.

Part3:
1. When do people normally send gifts to others?
In the fast-paced world, gift-giving has become prevalent worldwide, across all
cultures and Vietnam is not exception. Actually, people incline towards giving
presents on special occasions such as wedding anniversary, birthday party or
lunar new year. On the grounds that gift-Giving is all about showing love,
support, excitement, and happiness.

2. Do people give gifts or red packets on traditional festivals?

I do not have any glue about the other countries worldwide, but my nation,
Vietnam, has a convention of sending presents and red envelopes on customary
celebrations. You would agree with me that red represents vitality, happiness and
luck to fight against the adverse spirit of evils. That is the core reason that people
tend to give red packets. Besides, gift-giving might reflect our warm heart, and
strong respect to the counterpart.

3. Is it easy to choose clothes as gifts?

Actually, it depends on certain circumstances. If I acquire an in-depth knowledge
of a guy’s hobby, fashion gout, body size, we have no difficulties in opting for
any particular item. Otherwise, it would be a pretty award when we do not gather
or grasp these single things related to that person. As a result, the piece of
clothing we determine to send is not feasible to cater for their requirement.

4. Will people feel happy when receiving an expensive gift?

Yes, i mean. Who does not. By virtue that a pricey gift is an expression of love
and appreciation and to be under the impression that we have the power to make
anyone feel happy and cheerful enlightens a sense of fulfilment that can never be
compared to anything else. Furthermore, the receiver will believe that not only
did they get a lavish gift but also earned a token of utmost respect.

14. Describe a special cake you received from others

You should say:
When it happened
Where it happened
Who you got the cake from
And explain why it’s a special cake

When i first catched a glimpse of this cue card, my mind went blank. Because i
do not have a sweet tooth and sugary foods or sweets are not my cup of tea.
Besides, i just consume it when it comes to special occasions such as birthdays,
wedding anniversaries, small parties,... So that i am able to maintain a robust
lifestyle and steer away from a highly-glycemic diet. If i have to response, i
would say that, the 16th birthday cake left the most profound impression on me.
Honestly, my mother and grandma altogether made it for me on their own and it
jumped out of my own skin. As soon as returning back home after an extra
classroom, they secretly celebrated an adorable and astonishing party for me.
Consequently, I jumped for joy and was over the moon. With its outstanding
vanilla flavor, pillowy soft crumb, and creamy vanilla buttercream, this is truly
the best vanilla cake I’ve ever had. This’s white cake with a pristine soft crumb,
vanilla naked cake with a flavorful tight crumb, and checkerboard cake with a
whimsical design. This fantasy cake is piled high with sweet, juicy berries!

At first, I thought it would be too rich and creamy for me, but it turned out to be a
lot better than I’d expected. What’s more, it wasn’t too sweet and the soft moist
texture of the cake was such an added bonus, unlike other types of cakes I had
eaten. It just melted in my mouth when I had the first bite of the cake and
needless to say, it was such an indescribable feeling.

I treasured this present a lot on account that this was the first time I had the others
make a stunning cake for me. Normally, my family has the habit of purchasing
conventional desserts from stores available outside.
Part3:
1. What are the differences between the special food in Vietnam and foreign
countries?
Fresh. Invigorating. Fragrant. Sweet. Sour. Fermented. These are all adjectives
you might use to describe Vietnamese cooking. If you’ve tried food from several
different Asian countries, you’ll know that there’s nothing quite like Vietnamese

out of the world food as they engage in any celebrations. Besides, foods are part
and parcel thing in our life. In addition, it might warm up the atmosphere of the
party better.

3. Should special food be easily available?

Yes, of course. So the chef does not have to struggle to take out numerous
elaborate steps and food processing. Hence, they do not need to devote too much
time and sophisticated effort to cook peculiar dishes. Furthermore, only a short
time could the guests enjoy the meal without having an endlessly wait in the
previous time.

15. Describe a story someone told you and you remember

You should say:
What the story was about
Who told you this story
Why you remember it
And how you feel about it
When i first catched a glimpse of the cue card, a humorous story sprang to my
mind. I am going to share a funny story that I heard from Julie, a friend of mine.
It was a random day that our group hung out at a coffee shop and sat at the circle
table near the window, as we usually do. This is our all-time favourite spot. But
that day, instead of ordering a cappuccino as I usually do, I decided to try a
completely new drink – orange juice mixed with vanilla cream

The beverage looked good on the outside but its taste was unbearable to me.
Despite my warning, Julie insisted on trying it. It turned out that she was into the
drink very much and at that moment, she concluded that this situation made her
recollect the unpleasant experience of relishing sushi for the first time. She said
that although a myriad of people went for this quintessential dish, she put it in her
dietary restriction list. Tracing back to the time Julie moved to Sai gon city,
everything was glamorous and even alien to her. So to help her get familiar with
the urban lifestyle, her newly-made companion, Son Tung decided to wine and
dine her at a fancy restaurant specializing in japanese cuisines. To strike up a
conversation, he asked julie for a question : have you ever relished authentic sushi
?. He continued: today, you wanna try the out of the world food in the world in a
high-end sushi bar which has been the talk of the town here”. Afterwards, it made
julie whet her appetite and she was full of expectation about it. Unfortunately, she
picked up a piece of sushi and dipped it in a signature soy sauce, everything
would be fine until she put it in her mouth. Subsequently, julie seemingly burst
into tears because of the burning taste of it. But the nightmare was not over, she
could not sleep and must have been in toilet all night long on account that maybe
sushi did not agree with her sensitive stomach. Finally, we were frozen and all
eyes were on her for a few seconds. Then we all laughed hysterically that my
tears ran down.

I was indeed impressed by her story. As the matter of fact, it wasn’t the first time
I had heard of someone enjoying sushi with a thorough day, but secretly saving
money to do this was a surprise element and it was hilarious. And of course, it has
become an inside joke between us since then.

Part3:
1. Do young children like the same stories as older children?
Yes, there is no doubt about the fact that toddlers and a number of youngsters do
not show a great preference for similar stories as older children. In fact, children
have a taste for fairy tales and short adorable stories. Because, it lasts a short term
and the content is appealing. Besides, They all have happy endings.
2. How has technology changed storytelling?
When it comes to storytelling – the rise of smartphones and new affordable
technology has changed the way we listen to, see, and share our stories. Greater
technological capability allows us to break the barriers of time and geography to
create awareness, engagement and action around local and global issues.

16. Describe a thing you cannot live without except cell phone or computer
You should say:
What it is
Why you can’t manage without it
How long you have had it for
And explain how you felt when you were without it?

When i first catched a glimpse of this cue card, the thing I never could reside
without it was surely money. It is undeniable to say that money plays a
tremendous role in our lives.

Money can’t buy happiness, but it is able to buy security and safety for you and
my loved ones. Human beings need money to pay for all the things that make our
life possible, such as shelter, food, healthcare bills, and a good education. I don’t
necessarily need to be Bill Gates or have a lot of money to pay for these things,
but I will need some money until the day i pass away.

Money gives us freedom. When i have enough money, i am able to settle where i
crave, take care of our needs, and indulge my hobbies. Money gives us the power
to pursue your dreams. Having money makes it possible for people to run a
business, construct a glamorous mansion, pay the costs associated with having a
family, or accomplish other goals i believe will help me live to the fullest. Money
gives us security. When i have a large sum of money in the bank, I ’ll never need
to worry about having a roof over your head or about having enough to eat or
about being able to see a doctor when i am under the weather. This doesn’t mean
i’ll entertain the possibility of meeting any demands, but i might be able to enjoy
a stable middle-class life.

Without money, if i am in search of food, i’d need to look for someone who had
food who was willing to trade it in exchange for a service i could directly provide,
or for a product i could yield. Bartering transactions like this are cumbersome and
inefficient, not to mention a less reliable means of getting the things I need.
Although money can’t buy happiness, freedom, security, and the power to pursue
your dreams can go a long way towards making you happy. That’s why it’s so
important to work hard, earn money, and learn how to save and invest it. By
virtue of aforementioned reasons, it is feasible to prove that humans can not exist
and survive on this planet.

Part3:

notch educational institute and there are innumerable rules which i have to adhere
to. One of the most strict regulations is that students are compulsory to put on
formal attire 6 days a week aside from frigid weather conditions.

Needless to say, wearing a uniform is an obvious rule in all kinds of schools,

however, the act of forcing students to wear it 6 days per week is unacceptable
and causes a controversial topic in all classrooms and pupils' confessions. This
rule is likely to limit students’ self-expression. Learning how to express yourself
is a right that most parents want their children to learn from a young age. By not
allowing kids to show their individuality through the way they dress, they may
feel oppressed and discouraged to develop their own personality.
Teenagers in particular are synonymous with the demand of displaying their
emotions and their tastes in music, fashion and art through clothing, hair and
piercings. Furthermore, Some students are also uncomfortable with uniforms, as
they cannot just pick them up from their closets. Usually, they need to iron them
to get rid of crumples, which will require more of their time just to prepare for the
next day. Moreover, children are not into school uniforms because they deem that
these pieces of clothing are not as flattering as other garments, which can make
them more conscious about their image.

As an exemplary individual, i always attempt to abide by the rule so that i am

making use of spare time to recreact on a daily basis

How old you were when you had it?
Did you play with the toy by yourself or with other kids?
And explain how you felt about this particular toy.

When i first catch a glimpse of this topic, my mind goes blank because my
recollection is really hazy. If my memory serves right, puzzle jigsaw left the most
profound impression on me and also was my all-time favourite toy when i was a
toddler.

My parents gave me the puzzle jigsaw as a 5th birthday. At that time, i had the
habit of watching toy videos on youtube, i was obsessed with this kind of toy,
hence, i watched over and again it many times per day. My parents grasped my
hobby and were determined to fulfill my demand.

At that moment, i was an approachable and affectionate child. Therefore, every

afternoon, 2 friends living in same alley with me always went to my house to play
with me. In addition, we were identical to a good illustration of teamwork. In fact,
we came up with the straightforward strategies to complete it together. If any
member get into trouble, i would lend her a hand at the drop of the hat.

The set of jigsaw puzzle stimulated me exponentially. To say, i took advantage of

them to acquire a number of essential skills such as problem-solving skill, hand-
eye coordination, fine motor skill,.. Take memory and cognitive development as a

and reasoning skills as they figure out how to put the puzzle together. The fact

have learned through observation. Nevertheless, it is marginalized due to the
advent of technological breakthroughs. Therefore, in this day and age, children
show a great preference for gluing to video games on the smartphone and ipad.

2. Do you think parents should buy more toys their children or they should spend
more time with them instead?
From my perspective, i am in a dilemma because it is quite a tough question for
me. I reckon they should spend more time together playing and interacting with
their daughter instead. Besides, Children who occasionally strike up a
conversation with their families are less likely to participate in risky behaviors

better part of 10 years and also my near and dear to my heart at school. In
addition, we have a lot in common with each other from the fashion style, film
gout to study daily routine. At first glance, she was not shy to strike up a
conversation with me and help me get accustomed to the new learning
environment. She is such an approachable guy.

On the other hands, I was eye-opening when i heard her unpleasant experience of
relishing sushi for the first time. She said that although a myriad of people went
for this quintessential dish, she put it in her dietary restriction list. Tracing back to
the time Julie moved to Sai gon city, everything was glamorous and even alien to
her. So to help her get familiar with the urban lifestyle, her newly-made
companion, Son Tung decided to wine and dine her at a fancy restaurant
specializing in japanese cuisines. To strike up a conversation, he asked julie for a
question : have you ever relished authentic sushi ?. He continued: today, you
wanna try the out of the world food in the world in a high-end sushi bar which
has been the talk of the town here”. Afterwards, it made julie whet her appetite
and she was full of expectation about it. Unfortunately, she picked up a piece of
sushi and dipped it in a signature soy sauce, everything would be fine until she
put it in her mouth. Subsequently, julie seemingly burst into tears because of the
burning taste of it. In the following hours, she decided to get a vomit in the toilet
on account that her stomach did not agree with me. Then, she decided to make an
appointment in her reliable consulting room. As a result, she could steer away of
any allergy. Finally, we were frozen and all eyes were on her for a few seconds.
Then we all laughed hysterically that my tears ran down.

I was indeed impressed by her story. As the matter of fact, it wasn’t the first time
I had heard of someone enjoying sushi with a thorough day, but secretly saving
money to do this was a surprise element and it was hilarious. And of course, it has
become an inside joke between us since then.

No doubt, we easily get impressed by the good habits of others and wish to

Well, that is Ha Trang, she has been residing in the same alley with me for the

gout to study daily routine. At first glance, she was not shy to strike up a
conversation with me and help me get accustomed to the new learning
environment. She is such an approachable guy.

On the other hand, I noticed that she has the habit of doing work-out every
afternoon as once i went to her home to lend her notebook. At first, entering her
stucked–away bedroom, i saw her imitating the fitness video on Youtube. It came
as an astonishing news to me on account that in daily life, she puts on a facade
that she is not much of a kind of sporty individual. Moreover, she also is hazy and
not active. Then she shared with me that she created this habit because her
parents always complaint her as a couch potato. Afterwards, i laughed
hysterically that i teared down.

When i return home, sleeping on her saying, i also figure out that the greatest
wealth is health. It is time for me to take up this habit. As a result, i will keep my
body in shape and lower the risk of chronic hazardous illness such as: heart
attack, lung cancer, anxiety order,.... On top of that, it is an impeccable way to
help me relieve the stress and loosen up after strenuous day at school. In addition,
i might be more in the mood, hence, i will perform a good task at my educational

they were preoccupied with working to make a living during the volatile outbreak
of contagious disease covid-19. At that time, i deem that everybody forgot my
birthday and did not give any presents for me. However, i still waited for a
surprising gift for me

On my birthday, i was at home and snuggle on the sofa to enjoy my all-time

favourite film playlists on the television and wait to my family’s gift. I also said
thank you for besties, friends who congratulated on me that i step forward one
age. Besides, there were not somebody at home to stand by me, all of them were
likely to immerse themself in the world of working. I was down in dump and
pessimistic. Afterwards, it came as a shock to me that my family sang a birthday
tune and requested me to blow out the candles. OH my got, they secretly
celebrated an adorable and staggering party for me. Consequently, I jumped for
joy and was over the moon. With its outstanding vanilla flavor, pillowy soft
crumb, and creamy vanilla buttercream, this is truly the best vanilla cake I’ve
ever had. This’s white cake with a pristine soft crumb, vanilla naked cake with a
flavorful tight crumb, and a checkerboard cake with a whimsical design. This
fantasy cake is piled high with sweet, juicy berries!

This occasion was the most worth-waiting that i

football player competing in the Vietnam national team as a goalkeeper. Even
though Dung is pretty young, he has man- aged to gain the respect of football fans
for his skills, as well as adulation from females be-cause of his handsome
appearance.

What makes Bui Tien Dung stand out is his remarkable goalkeeping skill which,
together with the skill of his teammates who were competing with a steely
determination, has enabled Vietnam to qualify for the final of the AFC U23 for
the first time. Every TV channel and newspaper carried the story. Dung is praised
by sports commentators, professionals and fans in general as bold and reliable.
His saves, especially those in penalty rounds, contributed to the strengthening of
Vietnam's defence and gave his teammates the confidence to push forward and
attack the opposing team.

Frankly, I'm not much of an avid sports fan, and I only watch sports matches
occasionally. Therefore, I rarely dig deep into the personal life of sports stars.
However, what I do know about Bui Tien Dung is that he came from a rather
underprivileged family, and was not exposed to professional training right from
the start. It was his passion for football that convinced his parents to allow Dung
to pursue it professionally and his perseverance led to his recognition.

business news. The first lucrative small-scale enterprise springing to my mind is
Lily coffee shop that I patronize on a daily basis.

I first came across this company. One day, I traverse through the street of Vinh
city. And I was instantly captivated by the vibrant lights and outstanding
ornaments. Therefore, I decided to go over and catched a glimpse of it. Lily was
built according to the concept of "summer holiday" with an enormous yard in
front of the shop, countless green trees surrounding it and a poetic corridor just
like a movie scene. Stepping into this place, visitors are able to immerse
themselve in natural atmosphere.

The reason why I make sure this business will climb the career ladder in the
future due to charismatic manager – Mr Lily. As soon as you walk into, you are
always greeted with a smile and make it more peculiar. Candidly speaking, I
reckon that is something you simply can not put a price on. Moreover, I have to
pay a compliment to personal touch that the coffee shop offers. Especially now I
have become a repeat customer. The coffee shop and mrs.Lily have created my
own beverage called “ my adorable sister” which includes a wide range of
perenial favourite drinks such as whipped cream on top.

Furthermore, this brand has an element of sentimental value to me. As I feel

under the weather or have a lot on mind, I have a habit of dropping in here in
order to let off some steam and take it easy. Sipping into a cup a coffee together
with indulging in a soothing ballad is the most impeccable way to me to relieve
the stress. The smell of coffee suites my taste and matches my emotion too.

I am looking forward to have more innovative stuff in the inferior also menu. I
hope that it will gain the popularity and draw a tidal wave of customers in the

owing to its unique functions and a plethora of intriguing material that drew the
attention of young people right away. When I initially tested the app a few years
ago, I could spend hours by hours surfing this site without any hesitation.
Initially, I convinced myself that by viewing those videos related to English, DIY,
or life tips, I could expand my knowledge and hone my skills. However, when I
looked at how much time I spent on this app, I noticed that I spent the majority of
my time just for recreation, which wastes a lot of time that I would better spend
on my education or doing my assignments, thus browsing Tik-Tok for a long time
might have an adverse impact on my mental health since i subconsciously
compare myself to certain well-known and gorgeous people on that site, not to
mention that it may take a toll on my eyesight and physical postures. Hence, in

and interest. However, there was a time that I had to be friendly with a person
whom I didn't have a thing for and now I will tell you more about that weird
experience. Back when I was in my University, I didn't have an extensive circle
of friends because I played truant most of the time but among many friends in
university, there was a person who was fairly introverted and ignorant while I
identify myself to be an outgoing and sociable person so we didn't have anything
in common, that's why I didn't have several conversations with him on a regular
basis. But one time, we had to engage in a project and I ought to collaborate with
a group including that cold person. Initially, I didn't know how to break the ice to
cooperate with him and I was pretty reluctant to tell him my perspective
additionally, he used to carry a lot of attitudes while discussing with me about the
content of our project But gradually, I decided to not pay attention to his attitudes
but instead, I simply wanted to ace the project and acquire flying colors to
promote my academic performance, and that was the only thing that I was
concerned about. After few meetings, we got used to each other and he started
to be more receptive towards my discussion and then I realized that he was not
trying to be cold with other people, he was just shy and didn't have a knack for
communicating with surrounding individuals. So after that event, I suppose
that we shouldn't judge a book by its cover. We should talk more and dive into
the conversations to get to know other people a little bit better before judging
them so that we can make more friends and expand our social relations.

Initially, I didn't know much about this book but one time when i engaged in a
course, my teacher recommended this book for all students in my class. He said
that we should read it at least one time in our life. I was so curious about this
book so when I came back home, I started to search for it on an application on my
phone and I ended up reading this book for whole day. The design of the book
was straightforward with only white background and few words to show the name
of the book because the author desired his audiences to set their concentration
span on the content of the book, not the design. which I think is tremendously
meaningful, right? The book was penned by an internationally acclaimed author ,
Malcolm Gladwell and I have a soft spot for his unique narrative style because he
didn't tell me or his readers to do this or do that like other self help books.
Instead, he just told a lot of stories of reputable people in the world such as Bill
Gates, Steve Jobs or the Beatles to illustrate his viewpoint. It gives me mỏe
momentus to be proactive and embark on the career with an optimistic behaviour.
And I realized that reading is immensely healthy for our brain. It helps our brains

therefore, i do not have the habit of implementing any plan aside from study
routines. If i venture a guess, it is probably mid-autumn holiday that i will drop
into their accomodation. It is a tranquil place and nestled in a small village. In

packed with a number of gorgeous blossoming flowers. On top of that, it is
surrounded by an immense paddy field, hence most of the time, i am capable of
hearing the breezes gently blowing through leaves and birds chirping on the

rock and hard place several years ago.
To be honest, i am a shopaholic individual that is why i attempt to help my family
do household chores by shopping for groceries at the weekend. And one time,
during window shopping accompanied by my buddies in the mall, i am obsessed
with a maxi dress because it catered my taste. Refined and sophisticated, this item
cut from a light and soft fabric channels a romantic mood. Hence, It is loose
enough to be comfortable without seeming baggy, and it is snug enough to be
captivating. This dress came with a belt tie that fastens in the front which might
gave me a taller and slimmer look. Consequently, i craved to purchase this dress.
In retrospect, i splurged a lot of money on fashion and if i bought it, i could not
have enough money to buy my all-time favourite music concert in the following
week. After striking up a conversation with my friend, i was still in a dilemma
and i was likely to debated whether to buy this dress or put aside money for
buying a ticket next week . Afterwards, i had to take a plunge that i set aside
money to pay for the incoming concert. On account that it was the first time my
perennial singer opened a liveshow in my city, i would prefer immersing myself
in the smooth melody and voice of Ha Anh Tuan rather than owning that
appealing dress. And i did not regret to arrive at the final decision because the
concert was nothing of sublime captivating to me.

Hoi An Ancient town. It is the most fabulous and thrilling holiday that I have ever
had. So today I crave to tell you about the special features in Hoi An.

This landscape has been attracting countless both foreign and national visitors on
a daily basis. Here is surrounded by a wide range of recreational destinations such
as streets with vibrant lanterns, old-established constructions and appetizing
cuisines from diverse eateries. Unfortunately, it came as a shock to me due to a
large number of tourists. In the evening, Flower garlands and vivid lanterns
festivals are held frequently and draw a tidal wave of people. there was a massive
group people so that we were not able to rent any boats to engage in this
celebration. Nevertheless, a sparkling, picturesque and mysterious view was
opened, stimulating anybody’s curiosity and eye feed after all electrical
equipment was off.

Although I am considered as an extrovert individual, it drove me disturbed and

exhausted as being overwhelmed in a crowd. Therefore, I attempted to wake up
early to admire the breathtaking dawn in a tranquil atmosphere. So as to escape
from the rate race, at last, I opted for dropping in a peaceful and appealing
countryside, Which is nestled in a small hometown. To be honest, I felt over the

Well, this question immediately brought to mind a memory from a few weeks
back when I had lunch at a restaurant in a beach resort in Danang. At the time I
was on a break from teaching classes, so you know, I wanted to do something to
pamper myself, ‘cuz I know I deserved it, for all the hard work hehe, so I decided
to treat myself to a short getaway to Danang, a coastal city known for its
immaculate beaches and world class resorts.

So for the first night my friend and I stayed at this resort,Phu Quoc FLC 5-star
resort which is hailed as one of the top resorts in the world. Well, when we got
there it was way past noon time, so we were starving. There weren't any other
food options nearby so we had to settle for one of the restaurants at the resort,
,which was super fancy. Well, there were only 5 built-in cliff-side tables
overlooking the ocean, and you know people had to get on a waitlist to have
access to those tables. We knew there was no way we could've gotten those seats
so we settled for a table indoors. After 10 minutes or so into our meal, to my
surprise, a wait staff offered us seats at one of those cliff-side tables. It was such
an amazing private space with a magnificent view. It was just us and the ocean.
We enjoyed a gourmet set lunch cooked by some of the finest chefs in the
country, while looking out at the breathtaking view and being cooled by the ocean
breeze.

Anyway, they also offered us some nice white and red wine and unlimited fresh
squeezed juices. Man that was the life. The best part is, after we were done with
our main courses, a wait staff brought us two slices of cake, though we didn't
order them. I later found out that it was my friend's birthday, so that was why we
were given such great services. In retrospect, they didn't have to do that but I
guess it was a gesture of goodwill on the part of the restaurant and my friend and
I really appreciated their generosity. All in all, it was hands down the most
pleasant experience that I've had at a restaurant. The food was phenomenal, the
staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, and man, the way we were given
, such a special treatment, gosh I loved it. I would definitely recommend this
restaurant to my friends, or to anyone who wanna be treated like a king, but the
catch is that you gotta go there during your birth month hahaha.

Why you bought it
And explain why you think you spent more than expected

When I first catch a glimpse of this cue card, an embarrassing experience springs
to my mind. In the first semester of tenth grade, we had a glorious event at
school. Therefore. i was determined to purchase a new dress to dress up in the
party. It was also the most exorbitant item I have bought since I had bonus money
from the school.

In fact, i am a slave to fashion. You would guest that i will pay a large sum of
money to own a stylish and fashionable dress. To be more specific, i splurged
800,000 VND on the bohemian dress. At first glance, from online shops, they
provided me with an outstanding picture of this dress be worn by a renowned
model. At that time, i reckon that this kind of dress would cater for my taste.
Refined and sophisticated, this item cut from a light and soft fabric channels a
romantic mood. Hence, It was loose enough to be comfortable without seeming
baggy, and it is snug enough to be captivating. This dress came with a belt tie that
fastens in the front which gives me a taller and slimmer look. Due to its appealing
feature, i took the plunge to buy it at the drop of a hat. Unfortunately, I was
finessed by playing down products with less desirable features. As a result, it
came as a shock that i had to receive torn fabric clothes with bleeding color and it
was longer than my expectation. Oh my got, i supposed that with an extravagant
price, i deserved to pick up a more impeccable product.

to primary school on account that i am an extrovert and i would like to strike up
conversations with mates during the lessons. However, Ha Trang, my table mate,
leaves me the most profound impression.

In fact, we have a lot in common with each other from the fashion style, film gout
to study daily routine. To give you a good example, as we are a big fan of any
kdramas, we would like to talk to each other about how we hate or love the
character, predict the next scene, adore how handsome the actor is or admit which
actress is our crush, and sometime pick out the scene i can relate to in life. At first
glance, she is not shy to strike up a conversation with me and help me get
accustomed to the new learning environment. She is such an approachable guy.

Besides, she possesses an appealing appearance with a slim body and dazzling
smile. In addition, she is a book fanatic so she has a taste for reading anything and
contemplating meaningful and fabulous messages derived from those materials.
Moreover, I really admired her
achievements on account that at a tender age, she was able to go through hardship

Well, when i first catch the glimpse of the topic, I reckon it is a piece of cake.
Because I remember vividly the time I acquired cooking skills from my
grandmother when I attended secondary school. At that time, my parents were
busy as a bee, so I could spare much time visiting my grandparents house in my
leisure time.

It may sound strange as a lot of people learned how to cook when they were still
teenagers. But to be honest, I hadn’t been able to cook until my grandma talked
me into learning it, and I started picking up this skill with her just several years
ago

Honestly, I’m quite hopeless when it comes to cooking. It took me around 2

weeks to use the knife properly and make a sunny-side-up egg. However, I made
good progress. I learned some basic cooking practices, and now I can cook some
simple dishes such as some kinds of soup, omelette and fried rice. Sadly, due to
my hectic study schedule, I can only practice cooking with my grandma on
weekends when we prepare meals for my family.
I used to think that cooking is kind of a burden, and there are plenty of places
where we can buy food. But now, I completely changed my mind. I find that
learning how to cook is extremely useful, as this skill is extremely beneficial to
our life. Moreover, i am able to enjoy having a handy collection of basic cooking
skills with a little practice. Doing cooking can help me make whet-appetizing
meals, save time, be safer in the kitchen, and just plain have fun! Cooking by
ourselves allows us to gives me ultimate control over the amount of sodium and
fat going into your meals , which is essential to maintaining a balanced diet and
staying in shape.

You should say:
Who this person is
How you knew him/her
What type of work he/she does
And explain why you think his/her work is useful to the society

When i first catch a glimpse of this cue card, my cousin springs to my mind. He is
my mother’s brother. He is Tiep. Actually, he has been working as a head doctor
in a prestigious hospital in my hometown. Although he is only 26 years old, he
gains extensive knowledge in the domain of medical sciences and dedicates his
knowledge to identify the medical problem faced by the patient and then uses his
skill to treat and cure it.

On account that health is wealth, the most common term used in our daily life
clearly signifies that health is the only wealth due to which everyone can do
whatever they want, especially work. But what if your health does not cooperate
with you? You obviously need a doctor. Doctors save lives, but their importance
goes far beyond that. Doctors also make a difference by helping patients
minimize pain, recover from a disease faster or learn to live with a disabling
injury. A patient's ability to enjoy life, even if they can't be cured, makes a huge
difference to them and to their families. If they can go back to work after an
illness, that benefits their employer, too. And, that's only part of what makes
doctors become an inseparable part of our life. Besides, In the internet age, there's
no shortage of medical malarkey flying around online. Whatever you're suffering
from, someone knows a miracle cure. Whatever you're scared of, some website
will shriek that it is much, much worse than you think. Doctors have the standing
and the knowledge to push back against fake medical news. It's not just about
teaching patients the real steps to staying healthy. Sometimes it's explaining that
there is no cure and so no point to spending money trying to conjure one up.

Part 3
1. What jobs are well-paid? 2. What are the changes in working conditions? 3.

48. Describe a person you follow regularly on social media
You should say:
Who he/she is
How you knew him/her
What he/she posts on social media
And explain why you follow him/her on social media

As a music enthusiast, I show a great preference for following musicians and

composers, producers. However, i have the habit of the wall of my all-time
favourite artist, Son Tung MTP. He is considered as an inspirational icon for
young people and achieved phenomenal success as a prominent rising star.

I still vividly remember from 10 years ago when I first catched a glimpse of his
song and I was instantly captivated by how catchy the song is with a very
memorable melody. His unique vocals put the icing on the cake.

Since, he is a singer so he often makes announcements of his upcoming music

through this platform. As soon as he shares any post related to his music album I
immediately check it out. Similarly, he often shares some funny uncut shots to
reveal what goes behind the scene during movie production that I find quite
hilarious. His every tweet and post receive millions of views and I always
comment on his posts with a hope one day he will reply to me even if it is an icon
as well. I will be over the moon and show off with my mates.
I followed him because i am a big fan of Mtp and i would like to keep abreast of
his current events .Furthermore, he is hailed as the prince of Vietnamese pop stars
and recently has become the first ever artist in my nation to be listed on Top
Trend Youtube, after releasing his song: Lac Troi. He possesses a good-looking
appearance with chubby cheeks and a dazzling smile. In addition, he has a sense
of fashion, and is always a trendsetter in street style outfits. On top of that, I was
hooked by his outstanding performance. It seemed like he was pouring his heart
out and burning all passion and enthusiasm for the songs. I really like the way he
sings and the way he expresses the feeling of the song. The main striking trait that
really makes him appealing to me is his strong resilience and perseverance over
hardships. He's a real inspiration for the younger generation that to never give up
and follow your dreams even when going through ups and downs

Where it is

If my memory serves right, I took a week traveling and relieving my stress in Hoi
An Ancient town.

There was a
massive group of people so we were not able to rent any boats to engage in this
celebration.

To be honest, I felt over the
moon and was capable of immersing myself in wildlife and nature.

If I grasp a chance to reach this place of interest, without a doubt, i will take
numerous photographs to capture every single thing I am abstracted to.

3. Do most elderly people live in the city or in the countryside?
4. Do you think well-developed tourism will have negative effects in local

50. Something important to you that your family has had for a long time.
You should say
What it is
When your family had it
How your family got it
And explain why it is important for your family
I'm going to talk about my family photo album, which is an heirloom that has
been passed down for at least 3 generations. As its name suggests, it consists of
numerous photos of all the members in my family, and these photos come in
different shapes and sizes. Some of them are just black-and-white with poor
image quality as they were taken a long time ago. If I'm not mistaken, the first
time I saw it was almost 5 years ago. Back then, it was on my grandfather's death
anniversary so my aunts and uncles all gathered at my house to celebrate. After
we'd finished eating and drinking, my mother took out this album and together we
went through every picture inside it. That's when I learned lots of interesting past
stories about everyone in my family, be they young or old, dead or still
alive. Before that time, I just had vague memories of my childhood and didn't
have any ideas about what my parents and my relatives looked like when they
were younger so I felt pretty excited about this album. I don't know exactly when
it was made but I believe it must be more than 30 years old. That said, it looks
quite new as my mother takes really good care of it. Also, every year, my father
will have some new photos printed out and then add them to this album to keep
memories. There're several reasons why this photo album is of paramount
importance to us. For one thing, it keeps all of our beautiful photos in one place
so that one day we can take a look back at them and reminisce about some
memorable milestones in our lives. For another, it's a great tool to help the future
generations in my family know
