1- Purpose of visit
Inspect, and evaluated the Solids Control Equipment, and provide a detailed report regarding
the parts needed, to optimize performance.
Showing rig crew, the proper way to operate all equipment, and preventive maintenance,
Prepare a spare parts list needed
Provide more information about Hardian Rigs.
2- Problem Investigation:
Investigated with all Rig crew:
- Rig Manager
- Electrician
- Mechanic
- Driller
- Derick Man
- Company Man
3- Tips have been discussed with the Rig crew
- Kind of problem faced during operation.
- Type of maintenance difficulties.
- Any sudden changes in equipment performance.
- Luck of spare parts.
- Any history modification has been done.
4- Equipment inspection:
Inspect all the points below, discuss them with the rig crew and take pictures of any anomaly, as
illustrated down below.
5- Shale Shaker
DFE-SCR Minor Linear Motion Shaker
- Overall, Shaker Condition. OK
- Checked the three-shaker using vibration tester
Shakers G Force is within specified range 6.3 G
- Overall Skid Condition. OK
- Shaker basket. OK
- Shaker Hoper. OK
- Check power supply OK
- Motors; Motors Cord, Bolts, Power Junction box. OK
- Starter Box; Push Button, Box Bolts, Power Cord. OK
- Tensioning system;
Sealing rubber o ring missed.
Draw Bar OK
Screens bed components OK
Channel Rubbers: Defected, has to be changed by new one.
Stainless Side Support, and cross support OK
Front Curtain. OK
Basket absorption Springs. OK
Note:
absorption Springs has a live time, if it’s more then 5years been used, should be
replaced by a new one.
Manual AWD (Adjustable while drilling):
The shaker basket angle mechanical adjustment is not balanced as shown down below, has to be
leveled, that’s will make the shaker more efficient.
6- Desander, Harrisburg V-103 Model
Both Double Live, and Harrisburg are the two brands used in the same desander unit.
Overall check, no abrasive or wearing off noted.
Desalter, Harrisburg V-416 Model
Overall check, no abrasive or wearing off noted
The 100 hp motor is much enough to give us the pressure required.
casing
Number of the cones been checked on the Desander, and Desalter.
Noted that some of the apex missed, and some defected, has to be replaced.
We have to put the specified pump Impeller, to obtain the feet head required pressure.
7- Centrifuge
The MI Swaco 518 centrifuge is low capacity, will not handle the active mud
barrels, to cut mud weight. While the shale shaker, desander, and desalter not working properly.
8- Conclusion
The system generally in good shape, you have to take care about the preventive maintenance, and teach
the crew more about operation and maintenance.
Please follow the recommendation.
9- Recommendation
You have to put the mobilization side bracket on shale shaker in its place before starting moving the
mud system, to prevent vibration absorption springs damage.
Greasing AWD hand jack.
Put the screen basket on the right angle, and level balanced, to increase shaker efficiency, and handle
the flow rate while drilling.
Use original screen, and spare part.
Offer all Screens and spare parts on shelves.
