T08 Pre-Drilling/Sectional Checklist

The required amount of tubular (DP, HWDP, DC) for the length of hole to be drilled is inspected and available onboard.
Spare BOP bonnet and pistons seals are available onboard and with CoC in date.
Drill pipe dopes are available and sufficient quantity. (Share quantity with OIM)
Mud bucket is in good condition, seals are okay.
Spare overshot packer is available onboard and with CoC in date.
Spare wash pipe is available and on the rig floor. Rebuild Kits also available.
Spare IBOP, (Lower & Upper) is available.
There is a spare saver sub available on the rig floor and in good condition
Tong and Iron Roughneck dies are okay and spares are available.
Tubular slips and dies are available, working okay and spare dies are available.
Kick detection equipment (PVT Monitors/Flow Shows/Audible /Visual Alarms/ Mud Logger’s instrumentation are tested okay.
All slips in use have a spare available on the rig floor.
The ID of all elevators and the OD of the tubulars to be used have been Physically calipered and compatibility confirmed
There is spare breakout and snub lines available on the rig floor.
A FOSV/TIW (including a closing handle) with bottom connections/ crossovers or provisions to fit the drill string is available.
Various sizes of split pins are available on the rig floor.
Rig Floor Short slings of various SWL ready on the rig floor for BHA handling.
Chain tongs and pipe wrenches of required sizes are available on the rig floor.
All pull back tuggers, rig floor tuggers are okay and confirm spare cable available.
There is sufficient manila rope and foot mats available for derrick work.
The hydraulic cutter for slip and cut drill line is available and functional.
Elmagco: Spare controller is available.
Rotary hose: Spare available
Spare hoses are available for the Iron Roughneck
Spare hoses are available for the Iron Roughneck HPU
Critical safety systems: COMs, KEMs, crown and floor savers have been checked and reset the correctly.
Drill line has been checked to have sufficient length required for next hole section.
Are the derrick camera(s) functional and provides a clear view.
The fixed hands-free communication system is working.
Derrick tapes are available for tubular and in good condition. Spare is also available
360 days NDT has been carried out on all Drilling Equipment to be used.
Critical equipment such as chokes and MGS are is fully functional and lined up correctly.

The space-out for BOP/Bell Nipple, Diverter Overshot (as applicable) has been calculated and verified by the OIM.
Space-out diagram for the BOPs is posted for the Driller’s reference.
BOP is pressure tested on stump prior to Nipple Up.
Casing Rams as required are changed out prior to Nipple Up
Impact wrenches of the required sizes are available and ready for use.
Torque wrench is available and tested by mechanic to be in good condition.
Ring gaskets of the required sizes are available. (Share quantity with OIM)
Both Manriders for working the BOP have been serviced and working okay. The PMs have been completed
BOPs
Spare HCR valves are available onboard.
The wires for both Manriders for working the BOP are in date and spare available.
BOP fluid is available onboard. (2 totes)
BOP test pump and chart recorder have been inspected and are in good condition.
The BOP hoist has been confirmed fully functional by the Chief Mechanic. No overdue PMs
All PMs for the BOP hoist are up to date.
Bonnet seals and other BOP seals are available onboard and within date.

Mud pumps suction strainers and buffer chambers have been opened and cleaned with photos.
Valves and seats are inspected okay and replaced were required. Spares are available onboard. (Share quantity with OIM)
Sufficient seals for all fluid ends as required are available.
Pistons, valves, liners, and seats for the next hole section are available. (Share quantity with OIM)
Pistons, valves, liners, and seats have been replaced after top hole section.
Serviceable 2" diaphragm pumps for changing out mud pump cooling water is available.
Mud Pump Barite lines are free and not plugged.
Room/
Sacks Store Spare modules are available onboard.
Forklift is inspected and in good working condition.
Super charging pumps: Spare motors, impellers, mechanical seals, expansion joints are available and of the correct sizes.
Standpipe Valve: Spare valves are available onboard
Rupture discs for the various liners to be run are available. (Share quantity with OIM)
The minimum quantity of barite held onboard is sufficient to raise the mud system by at least 1ppg.
The quantity of bulk cement/additives is sufficient to set at least two 500ft cement plugs in the hole section to be drilled.

Deep cleaning has been conducted on the shale shaker, header box, shaker beds and flow lines.
Shaker settling tanks has been cleaned.
All pneumatic gate valves on shakers has been functioned and none is frozen.
Trip tank suction strainers has been opened and cleaned.
High pressure washers are working okay.

Mud Engineer has confirmed the shaker screens for the next section is sufficient.
Ditch magnets are available for the flow line.
All valves on the trip tank system are tested with zero leaks.
All valves in the shaker system have been serviced and tested with zero leaks.
Trip tank pumps are fully functional

There is sufficient cement and additives onboard for the next section to be drilled.
The quantity of barite onboard is sufficient to raise the density of the mud system by at least 1 ppg
The quantities of bulk cement on board is sufficient to set at least two (2) 500 ft (150 m) cement plugs in the hole section being drilled.
