LETTER OF APPEAL
06 November 2023
ROYAL NORWEGIAN EMBASSY
Bangkok, Thailand
To whom it may concern:
Greetings! I hope this letter finds you in good health and high spirits. I am Kristiane
Solis Salmorin with a reference number of 202315926907-001/bkk-loal. I am writing
to appeal for the decision made regarding my rejected visa application dated
October 12, 2023.
I understand that the decision was made based on the information provided in my
initial application, and I respect the thoroughness of the visa process. However, I
believe there may have been some misunderstandings or misinterpretations of my
circumstances, which I would like to clarify in this appeal.
Firstly, I would like to emphasize the purpose of my visit to the Schengen Area. My
aunt, Vanessa Solis has planned a trip to fullfill her lifelong promise to me of an
international trip specifically in her country of residence, experience winter and
witness the beautiful northern lights. I am her eldest nephew and despite our
extended family relations, Filipinos are known to have close family ties. I grew up
with her here in the Philippines and she has been my guardian until she moved in
Norway. This trip holds great significance for the both of us and I have attached my
letter of sponsorship from her to prove the legitimacy of this intention.
Secondly, I would like to address the concerns raised regarding my situation in my
home country. In my initial application, I stated that I am a farmer but have not
documented being employed. However, my salary as a farm owner is enough to
meet the needs of my three children. My farm lot is managed by myself alone hence,
a great reason for me to come back to my home country as this is my sole
responsibility and commitment. Aside from this, my wife is a government professional
teacher and has a stable income to support our family aside from my earnings. I
understand that the decision may have been influenced by the fact that I hadn’t
provided proof of my financial situation at the time of application. However, I have
provided documents such as property ownership, family ties, and other commitments
that further demonstrate my strong connections to my home country.
Furthermore, I would like to address any concerns regarding my intention to return to
my home country after the completion of my trip. I understand the importance of
ensuring that visitors do not overstay their visas, and I assure you that I have strong
ties to my home country. I am looking forward to be with my family before May 30,
2024 to celebrate my third son’s dedication and first birthday. This is a huge
milestone for my son which I cannot risk missing. Aside from this, I have already
promised to celebrate my anniversary with my wife this coming February 21, 2024. I
still have a lot to look forward to in returning here in the Philippines, and the biggest
reason is that my wife needs me in raising our children in our humble abode. Seeing
them grow personally is something I would never trade over resettling in another
country.
I kindly request you to reconsider my application and review the additional
documents I have provided. I genuinely believe that my intentions are genuine, and I
am committed to complying with all the rules and regulations of the Schengen Area. I
assure you that I will abide by the terms of the visa and return to my home country
before the expiration of the visa.
Thank you for taking the time to review my appeal. I sincerely hope that you will
reconsider your decision. I am more than willing to provide any further information or
attend an interview, if necessary, to address any concerns you may have.
Please find enclosed all the necessary documents for your review. Should you
