The Lockheed Shooting Star series includes several variants used primarily from the late 1940s through the 1960s. The variants include the P-80 fighter, T-33 trainer, and F-94 interceptor. Over 9,000 Shooting Stars were produced across all variants. The T-33 variant saw the most production with nearly 6,000 built and served extensively as a jet trainer.
