If you as a company plan to use the SAP BTP, you have to choose the right licensing for your
needs. You can select one of three. To get a contract, use the SAP Store or contact your SAP
sales representative. SAP provides three commercial models: PAYG, CPEA, and Subscription.
These models represent an increasing commitment to SAP BTP services, ranging from
limited commitment for PAYG to high commitment with Subscription.
We reward increased commitment to SAP BTP services with the potential for increasingly
compelling prices and discount possibilities.

Pay-As-You-Go
This commercial model lets you sign up to start using cloud services in your production
environment with no upfront cost, no minimum usage requirements, and no financial
commitments. Pay-As-You-Go (PAYG) for SAP BTP helps you start small and grow
without constraints. You can easily start with this commercial model through the SAP
Store.
What does this mean?
● Pay-As-You-Go for SAP BTP allows you to build applications in your production
environment and pay only for what you use
● You can start small, build productive apps, and convert to the Cloud Platform
Enterprise Agreement once you have achieved predictable usage
