The objective of the document
1.Creating New Nodes for the Warehouse Monitor
The following example creates a new node, CUSTOM, on the first level of the hierarchy and a sub
node based on the outbound Delivery standard node.
2.How to create custom node
The following terminologies are prerequisite for configuring warehouse monitor
1.Category node: These nodes are represented as folders in the warehouse monitor and
contain other category nodes and /or profile nodes.
2. Profile nodes: The profile nodes contain data for the specific object classes. Each profile
node is assigned to a node profile in the configuration that controls the data displayed for
the profile node and it is logical hierarchy.
The objects classes can be following ones
1.Documents, such as inbound or outbound deliveries
2.Processes, such as stock and bin, resource management
3.Alerts, such as overdue inbound, outbound deliveries, warehouse tasks, and so on
Example for category node
Example for Profile node
Profile node is assigned to Node profile and object class that helps to display
the data based on background programs.
How to configure the new custom monitor?
Path : SCM Extended Warehouse Management > Extended Warehouse
management > Monitoring > Warehouse Management Monitor > Customize
monitor tree.
Drag and drop the SAP standard monitor(Necessary Category nodes) to new
warehouse monitor and Save it.
New Monitor is created.
How to add the new node to the monitor?
The following example creates a new node, Category node as CUSTOM, on the first level of the
hierarchy and a sub node as ZSH41 based on the outbound Delivery standard node.
Path: SCM Extended Warehouse Management > Extended Warehouse
management > Monitoring > Warehouse Management Monitor > Define
nodes.
I take existing object class WHRO (OBD) rather than creating new one.
New category Node is defined as CUSTOME .
Based on the object class , I have taken the node profile P0000010.
Profile node ZSH41 is created and assigned against Category node and Profile node.
Now new node and node profile can be assigned to a custom monitor or to the
default SAP warehouse monitor
Path : SCM Extended Warehouse Management · Extended Warehouse Management · Monitoring ·
Warehouse Management Monitor· Define Monitors.
I am going to add under Outbound > Document > New Custom node so that
chose higher level node as C00000004
Result : We have successfully added new node in warehouse monitor.
