Eiyuden Chronicle
Eiyuden Chronicle
Welcome to our Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising walkthrough guide. With this guide, you can expect a full
walkthrough from beginning to end with an in-depth walkthrough for every main quest, shop quest, and
resident quest in the game, detailed strategies for every boss fight, and much more!
Eiyuden Chronicle is a brand new RPG series that originally started as a Kickstarter, and to no
surprise, it raised almost 10 times more than they were asking for. This Kickstarter was only for the
game that started the series, Eiyuden Chronicles: Hundred Heroes. Out of nowhere, this game
here, Eiyuden Chronicles: Rising was announced. It's supposed to be a prequel to the Kickstarter
game Hundred Heroes, but it's weird to get a prequel to a game that hasn't been released.
If you didn't know, Eiyuden Chronicle is the spiritual successor to the Suikoden RPG series. Sadly, as
many of these old school series, the series seemed to have died off, so many of the people responsible
for the original games decided to create a game that's very similar. It's been something we've seen a
lot lately, like Keiji Inafune (Mega Man) with Mighty No. 9, Koji Igarashi (Castlevania) with
Bloodstained, and Hironobu Sakaguchi & Nobuo Uematsu (Final Fantasy) with Fantasian (of course
Final Fantasy is still alive and kicking).
Knowing this, and after playing this game for many hours, I can certainly say that Eiyuden Chronicles:
Hundred Heroes will be a game to remember. As for this game, Rising, what adventures await us?
Which characters are we going to meet? Are there going to be any characters that we get to play with
in both games? Join me as we find out together!
Yours,
~ vinheim

Trophy/Achievement Guide
Trophy and Achievement Guide
We start immediately as we see our protagonist walking through this very beautiful valley. We are
introduced to her immediately. Her name is CJ and she's a part of the Scavengers.
It seems we're going to New Nevaeh in search for treasure. They're looking for adventurers to help
out, and of course we're bound to go in search for the thrill and excitement. Our peace doesn't last
long, however, as we hear someone crying out for help!
Defeat the Bandits
There's a merchant here that's being attacked by bandits. Time to see what CJ is all about! We'll be
given a tiny pop-up tutorial about Combat Basics. Combat in Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising is very basic (at
least for right now) and you basically have 3 buttons for this fight: jump, attack, and unique skill. We're
told that CJ's unique skill is Quick Step. This is basically a dash that helps CJ with mobility.
Pressing your button while moving to any side will have her dash in said direction, but if you're still and
press it, CJ will backstep instead. This is great for enemies attacking you from the front. Also note that
you can quick step through enemies. You have to be precise with these as you'll take damage if you
don't. I suggest you take a couple of minutes to practice here since your HP doesn't go down at all.
Once the fight is over, the bandits will run away and the merchant will introduce himself as Hogan,
which resembles a lizardman cowboy haha. Neat!
He'll thank us for helping us out and will take us to the city and help us get inside. Past the main game
we're introduced to another character, one that it seems we'll be visiting a lot, Squash.
They will tell us if we want to go to Runebarrows (where the "treasure" is) we're going to need an
"Explorer's License". Oh no, I've played enough RPGs to know where this is going. It seems the license
is very expensive. I guess we'll have to go meet the mayor and find out.
Anyway, we proceed into town where a huge earthquake starts. As some one who lives in California,
I'm just like CJ... already used to them haha. Anyway, shortly after the scenes with Hogan we'll gain
control for the first time and we're told about the Main Menu and the Plaza. We're told also about a
minimap in the main menu.
If you go ahead and open up your menu you'll see the little minimap on the right. This map resembles
the maps from Muramasa Rebirth, the Wii game that was released on Vita. So good!
Anyway, there's not much we can do right now. You can go right back from whence we came and enter
the Town Outskirts. Again, nothing to do here right now, but you can fast travel back to this area once
you've been here at least once. Pretty neat, huh?
Instead, head left here in the plaza and you'll see a woman with a large over her head. Talk to her
and she'll introduce herself as Isha, the acting mayor of the town... whoops!
We'll introduce ourselves, but she wants to hear nothing about it. Loosen up girl! Oh well, she tells us
the explorer's license costs a measly 100,000 baqua. We have 1000... let that sink it. Of course we
cannot afford it, and we'll probably won't in the near future anyway. So what now? Well, she tells us
that she'll give us a license if we fill up the stamps on the card she's about to give us. So basically,
instead of paying her we need to go around helping people out!
And with that, we end this quest and officially start our first Main Quest.
Go ahead and talk to her. She'll ask for your help because she lost her cat. We tell her that we won't
help unless she has a stamp... and she does haha! It seems even the little kids have one. Oh well, I
don't mind helping it it means we'll get a stamp.
Go right from the little girl and speak to the old lady, then to the girl behind her. Neither one have seen
the cat. Continue going right and speak to the little boy. It seems this kid pulled the poor cat's tail and
it ran away into the forest. The kid is a bit of an asshole for being so young, but at least we've got a
lead.
The game gives us the prompt that we can now travel to The Great Forest from the Town Outskirts.
That's good to know!
With with that, let's go rescue Priya's cat. Head right to the Town Outskirts and you'll see the entrance
to the Great Forest. Press and head on over there. As soon as we enter, speak to the Adventurer if
you want, but what you really want is the Signpost behind him. This is where you'll be able to do your
manual saves, which is nice. It also helps you fast travel around.
Go ahead and save your game, then start making your way right. We won't be long, so let's make this
quick. As you go right you'll find some Lv.1 monsters that look like blobs. These guys drag themselves
towards you, open their mouth and try to slam into you. You can see their eyes glow red when they're
about to attack. Be careful. Continue going right while killing more of these blobs and eventually you'll
reach a .
Approach it to trigger a little where we find our cat, and unlike your typical RPG fashion, we actually
manage to catch it without it taking us around the entire forest and leading us into a portal to another
worl... ahem, excuse me, I've seen a lot of that in my years haha.
And with the cat in our pocket, CJ will head back to town automatically and give Priya the cat. She'll
thank us and give us our stamp. The quest will end here, and she'll tell us there's another person that
wants help... her dad! Time to get our second stamp.
We can now go to the Residential District. We're going there to find Priya's dad. Simply go left and
you'll see that we now have the prompt to go "up" to the Residential District. Press to head up
there.
Once here you'll get a little pop up telling you about the people living here. Anyway, further left you can
find Priya's dad. Go ahead and talk to him. Let him know you're an adventurer and about the stamp.
We'll let him know that we helped little Priya out and he'll accept our help. He wants some wood to
repair his house. We can do that. Of course, we don't have the means to cut down trees, but he gives
us an Axe in order to do so.
After the scene, we get Axe Lv.1 and some info about it.
As the image says, we need to level up the axe in order to get better and different types of woods,
which is to be expected. A good thing in this game is that you don't have to equip the axe, or do
anything special. It's basically a key item that allows you to extract wood from select trees by simply
hitting them. Pretty neat. Oh, we're also told about consumables haha. These are basically in your
stowpack in your menu. There's a limit of how many items you can take with you when you leave the
safety of the town so always think about what to bring.
Gather lumber from the Great Forest
And with that, time to go get some lumber. Fast travel back to the Great Forest, save your game and
head inside. Before we do, however, we're told about Enemies & Resources.
This basically tells us that everything resets upon leaving the dungeon, enemies and items alike. This
is great to know and to far items if you need. We're also told about our Resource Bag. This is basically
where we put all our items, enemy drops and what we pick up from the ground.
Head into the forest proper and head all the way right. There shouldn't be any enemies right now. At
the end, you'll be able to smack down the wall and proceed to the . We can jump attack, just in
case you didn't know.
Up ahead we have a new enemy, a little Dandelion. I'm calling that since it seems we don't have a
Bestiary. They go down in one hit so don't worry about them too much. What you want is the tree in
between them. Hit it to receive Lumber.
These are the kinds of trees you can destroy and obtain different kinds of lumber from. Move down the
area breaking more trees and collecting more lumber. We only need 3 but you can get up to 4 in one
run. Kill any enemies you encounter and leave the forest as you reach the end. You cannot go deeper
right now, but you CAN leave and come back in if you want to get more EXP and lumber.
Once outside the forest, fast travel back to the Residential District and go talk to Ganesh . Give
him the lumber you just got and he'll thank you. Besides giving you a Stamp, he'll also let you stay at
his other house, just next door. That's for helping him and Priya out. Awesome!
And with that, head down and go to your new house (temporary of course). A little scene will play as
you approach. He'll ask us if we can go help his own father repairing the Clock Tower, the large
building that's destroyed in the Plaza. Sure thing, as long as he gives us a Stamp, right? This of course,
ends this quest and we'll start the next one immediately. Before that, however, we're told about the
house being our Base, where we can rest for free and rest.
Leave the Residential District back to the Plaza and speak to the Old Man Shiva , who's located at
the center of the Plaza.
Watch the scene with him. He doesn't like us, or any outsider for that matter. No matter, we'll still be
helping him out.
And off to the Great Forest we go again. Fast travel over there and head inside. Cross this first killing
all the Angry Pumpkins and Dandelions, grab lumber from the trees as you go of course, and we'll now
be able to enter the next area.
We are in a little cave now. Head right and break the pot you see for some baqua.
NOTE: Breakables like the pot and crates often drop money, and sometimes some items.
At the fork, you'll notice that the bottom path is blocked by a giant rock. Ignore it for now and follow
the top one, where the is. We'll be told here about Signposts and fast travel... we saw that 3
quests ago, huh? Haha.
Important here, is that inside dungeons we can ONLY fast travel between these signposts. You'll have
to manually leave the dungeon in order to fast travel to other places.
That being said, save your game and continue right to find a new enemy, the Titan Flowers. These
guys are annoying as they shoot seeds all over the place. Just be careful and avoid them. You can
destroy these seeds so do that if you see one coming your way.
Continue heading right and you'll eventually exit the cave. This will lead to a scene where we meet a
kangaroo. Hmm? He's definitely a party member, right? He also tells us that there are monsters up
ahead and that we should be careful.
After the scene, continue making your way right and you'll start seeing sparkles on the ground. You
can pick up items from here. Across this area, you can pick up Herbs and Nuts, which is nice to know
(that'll come in handy later). Eventually you'll reach a Titan Flower and several Dandelions behind it.
Kill them all and drop down the ledge to find a chest with Healing Potion Lv.1.
Head up and continue right into the next area.
In here, save your game and move forward. We'll start a Boss Fight!
Hollow Plant
Well this was certainly a surprise! I wasn't expecting a boss fight this early. Don't worry, despite it
looking terrifying, it's quite easy.
Of course, being this the very first boss fight in the game, it's not a difficult one at that. The one thing
the game does tell us is that this boss (and mostly likely every single boss in the game) have an armor
gauge right underneath their HP gauges. In order to do any kind of damage to it you'll need to attack it
enough to deplete the gauge.
It also has only a handful of attacks, which is nice to know. Let me start by talking about them.
To begin with, probably its most used attack is its impaling roots. There are several roots that come
out of the ground and try to impale you. Thankfully, the game shows us where they're going to come
out from with a red light. To avoid the attack simply stand in between them. Note that they appear
randomly: sometimes they can all be together, sometimes they're really spread out. Simply stop
attacking and avoid the attack, then resume.
Once you deplete its armor, its weak point will appear from its mouth, which is a worm-looking tongue.
This is the weak spot and what you need to attack in order to do any kind of damage. Be careful
because it also has an attack: it gathers energy and shoots out an energy orb. This hits pretty hard so
make sure to jump over it.
And that's about it for the first boss fight. Did you want it any easier?
After the fight we'll get the Great Tree Bough. We'll also get a Rune Fragment, which is a valuable
material. It seems items like these cannot be discarded nor does it take any space in our bag. Nice!
NOTE: Just like with all the other enemies, the boss will respawn if you leave the forest. This is great
because you can farm him for EXP if you want.
From here you can go right but there'll be another large rock blocking the path. We cannot proceed
from here so return to the signpost, fast travel back outside the forest and THEN fast travel back to
the Plaza.
Back in town, speak to Shiva and give him the item he requested. A lengthy scene will play here. It
seems there was supposed to be no monster tree in there. Uh oh, something bad is going to happen. As
we discuss that, Isha and another new person will appear called Gocteau.
For some reason he gives me bad vibes haha. Anyway, once the scenes are over, we'll get our stamp
and the quest will come to an end.
Slowly buy surely we're getting the 30 stamps. I wonder, is that all there is in this game? A stamp-
gathering game? We'll find out.
We need to talk to Isha. Thankfully she's right next to us. Head left and speak to her. The scenes from
before will continue and she'll ask us to help out at Outlander Lane. This is supposedly where all the
adventurers are setting up camp. They want us to help especially with the tavern and the inn. We can
definitely do that. I hope that's worth like 10 stamps haha.
And with that, head right and head up into Outlander Lane.
Right as we enter we'll see Sarita in front of us. Go ahead and talk to her. We're here to help you
with the tavern ma'am. She tells us that she needs some lightweight lumber. I wonder if it's the same
we got for Priya's dad.
Rajiv is actually located further east from here. Head on over there and you'll see him in front of a
broken building. Yeah, he definitely needs our help, huh? It seems we can help him out by bringing him
some Heavy Stone. I don't think we've found that item yet, but we will soon!
Get Lightweigth Lumber and mine Heavy Stone in the Great Forest
Time to head back to the Great Forest and collect some materials!
Fast travel to the entrance of the Great Forest and use the signpost to fast travel to the "Forest Cave".
From here head right and exit the cave. Continue moving along and you'll reach a new enemy that
wields a Greatsword. We're told here that we can quick step behind them to avoid attacks. That's
cool. Just note that this has to be precise, otherwise you'll bump into them and take damage.
With this knowledge, go ahead and kill it. I personally called the enemy the Greatsword Lizardmen
haha. This one only swings his sword so he's fairly easy to predict. After the fight, go ahead and
examine the purple glow behind him to find Lightweigth Lumber.
Head right and in the hole where the chest was, you'll spot a purple glow above it. Check it out to
find Heavy Stone.
And that's it! Head right and use the signpost to return to the entrance, then fast travel back to
Outlander Lane. Speak to Sarita and give her the wood, then talk to Rajiv to get him the stone. They'll
get hard at work and both places will be up and running immediately.
We can make use of these installations right away. The Inn is great because, besides getting fully
healed, it allows us to have a buff on for a certain period of time. These buffs can increase ATK, or
DEF, or even EXP. The Tavern on the other hand, allows you to make food with ingredients/materials
you've gathered so far, but you can also buy them if you don't have the right ingredients. The good
thing about this, and you'll like it if you ever played Odin Sphere, is that food will not only recover your
HP, but it'll also increase your stats. Yeah, your base stats will increase with food. This is what I really
liked about Odin Sphere back in the day.
And with that, return to the Plaza and speak to Isha. A scene will play as you do and it seems we don't
have to get all 30 stamps in order to get our license. She'll give us the license right then and there,
which is pretty dope! We can finally go further than the Great Forest! Of course, these stamps weren't
for nothing. It seems we'll get rewards every 10 stamps we get. That's awesome!
As soon as the quest starts, we're told about Shop Quests and Resident Quests . These are
basically sidequests in the game, either to personally help the townsfolk around here, or the shops.
Sounds about right.
We're also told about the Bulletin Board. This is mostly so that we can see if there are any quests
available. We don't actually start the quests from here, but rather it tells us where we can find such
people to get the quests from. Go ahead and check it right now. We can find there's one quest
available.
To Start this we need to talk to Mannan. Head to the Outskirts and you can find him on the far right
side (or you can go do the quest directly without talking to him first).
This is a fairly simple quest. We need to gather some Nuts for Mannan. These Nuts can be found in the
Great Forest, most notably on the fourth screen, the one in between the signposts.
Once here you want to look at the ground for sparkles. You can pick up items from these.
From what I could tell, the only sparkles that would give you the nuts are the left most and the right
most sparkles, the ones next to the entrances/exits. Once you have the required amount, feel free to
leave the Great Forest. Note that you may need to leave and reenter the forest if you don't have
enough nuts.
Once back outside the forest, head left to the Outskirts and give Mannan the nuts. He'll thank you and
end the quest.
Save your game and approach the to trigger a little scene. Afterwards, head right and enter the
mine.
The Quarry right now is very limiter for right now so I'll keep it short. As you enter, go right and you'll
immediately see a chest with Healing Potion Lv.1 inside. Nice.
Past it we'll have some new-ish enemies. A Blob that looks similar to the Pumpkins from the Great
Forest and a stronger Dandelion. The Dandelion is still just floating around, but the Blob aims at you
and shoots a large rock. Be prepared to quick step when you see the crosshair on your character.
Past them is a Gargoyle. Kill it and past that we'll have a fork. The path going right (past the hole) is
blocked off so ignore it for now and head down the hole. Use the platforms to go down but keep an eye
on the right side. There are some platforms above the ground that we can use to go right. I recommend
you use them to get to some pots you can break for some good money.
If you go to the bottom and to the far left you'll see that it's blocked by a very colorful rock. We cannot
proceed so head right to the to trigger a scene where we almost get squished. This place is
dangerous! CJ tries to break the rock... and breaks her blade in the process. Hmmm.
We'll end up back outside the Quarry. Note that for now your ATK is lowered so you won't be doing
nearly as much damage as before. The guys outside tell us to go visit the smithy in town to get it fixed.
It's pretty much the only thing we can do, huh?
After the little scene, head right and he'll introduce us to the smith of the town, Tatara. We'll be
interacting with him a lot, so it's nice to meet you! He'll help us out with our pickaxes, but sadly his
smith and everything is broken. Of course we're going to help him out. Help him help us, ya?
He'll ask for some iron ore. It seems we can find it in the Quarry. He'll even give us a Pickaxe lv.1,
which is awesome.
NOTE: The Pickaxe works exactly the same as the axe. It's more like an "item" and we don't need to
equip it. Simply by attacking deposits we'll get the ores and whatnot we need.
With the Pickaxe in our possession, let's go get some iron ore. Head back to the Quarry and head right
until you kill the first couple of enemies. Right past them you'll be able to spot a deposit that's glowing.
Hit it to get some Ore.
Further right at the hole is another deposit you can break, and even further right where the dead end
is. Destroy them all to get Ore. We need at least 3 so leave and come back if you need any more. There
are some deposits at the very bottom as well so head down there and grab some more.
Leave the Quarry now, head back to town and give Tatara the ore we just got. He'll immediately give
us a Stamp and rebuild the place. The Smithy is now open for business. This place, as you might have
already guessed, is used to upgrade our stuff, weapons and armor alike.
During the scene Tatara will fix our pickaxes and we'll be as good as new. He also tells us to be
careful because those large rocks will break our blades every single time. So what to do? Of course,
Garoo appears, the kangaroo guy.
Watch the pretty funny scene that plays out and by some miracle he'll join our party... we join his?
Same difference!
Once the scenes are over, we're told about Party Members, Boulder Blockades, and Link Attacks.
With Garoo in the party, we can now break those large rocks blocking our path. As for the latter, Link
Attacks, these are pretty good and really useful so make sure to use them all the time. The game will
also ask you to pick between "Normal" and "Simple" Modes. For the former each character has a
button (CJ is and Garoo is ) and it's pretty straightforward. This also means that you'll have to
time yourself to perform the Link Attacks.
Simple Mode on the other hand, meshes every character into one button, leaving it to the AI to switch
between character. I personally don't like this one at all because I like to have control, but you pick
whichever one you want. You can always change it back if you don't like it.
It's time for us to go open up the Quarry so we can proceed. Before you leave the place, speak to
Tatara and make sure to upgrade your stuff, both armor and weapons. You should know where to get
the items: Ore at the Quarry's deposits. Lumber from the breakable trees in the Great
Forest. Slimejelly is a material dropped by the Angry Pumpkin enemies in the Great Forest. You
should have a lot of them at this point, but go grab some if you need any. I recommend you upgrade
your stuff until you run out of baqua. We'll get more later on. Get at least everything to +2.
Once you're done, head left and you'll see a lady with a over her head. Quest time!
Soothing a Singer's Sore Throat
Reward: Stamp, 750 EXP
We start this quest by speaking to Jeanne outside the Tavern after the main quest The Miner, the
Merc, and the Smithy.
It seems she's a singer and she needs us to get her some herbs so she can make herself some
medicine. For this she needs 5 Titan Nectar items. In case you don't know, these are dropped by the
Titan Flower enemies in the Great Forest. They only located in the cave portion of the Great Forest
(where the second signpost is).
Once you have them, bring them back to Jeanne and she'll thank you, giving you a stamp and ending
the little quest.
Round Up Some Rations
Reward: Stamp, 500 EXP
We start this quest by speaking to Naksa in the Plaza after the main quest The Miner, the Merc, and
the Smithy.
Well, we receive the Mycology Primer from him, which allows us to gather mushrooms just like we
gather lumber and ores. That's going to be extremely useful.
And with that, fast travel to the Great Forest and head to the cave area. In here you should be able to
spot some large red mushrooms. You can break these for the Savorcaps you're looking for.
Go ahead and clean up the cave, leave and come back until you get all 5 Savorcaps. Once you have
them simply return to Naksa and give him the mushrooms. He'll give you your stamp, EXP, and end the
quest.
I highly suggest you do the quest above as you get the Mycology Primer, an item that allows you to
gather mushrooms just like you do with lumber and ore.
And with that, before we continue to the Quarry, let's go explore what little we can of the Great Forest
first. Fast travel there, then to the cave signpost. In here you'll be able to spot rocks that are glowing.
Just like with the deposits back in the Quarry, you can break these rocks now that you have the
Pickaxe and get Stone out of them. these are useful for future upgrades!
You can also find some huge red mushrooms. If you got the Mycology Primer above you'll be able to cut
these down as well.
Anyway, from the signpost follow the lower path. It's blocked but Garoo can now break through these
huge rocks.
Behind you can find a Worm enemy that just bounces around. This is similar looking to the one inside
the boss we fought here. Past it you can start finding some large colored crystals. Breaking these will
net you... Crystals duh!
Head down these tunnels now, break the large rock on your right when you get to it and open up the
chest for Power Balm Lv.1.
Behind is a Greatsword Lizardmen. You can easily kill these guys now by using your Link Attacks: CJ >
Garoo > CJ is great because you end up behind him after the attack. Anyway, we can't go further right
and the path to the left is blocked by a colored rock, just like the one in the Quarry, only that this one
is blue. Hmm. On well, head back up and now go to the area where we fought the Hollow Plant boss.
Kill the boss again (it'll be MUCH easier with Garoo) and behind it is another rock you can destroy with
Garoo. Behind it is also a chest with Strength Ring lv.1.
Equip the accessory right away and head down the slope. Follow this path until you enter an
underground cave. There's a signpost here, which is nice. To the left is an underground lake/pond
where you can fish. Sadly we don't have a fishing rod right now so we cannot do that. We can now,
however, fast travel back down here past the boss so that's good.
And that's all we can explore right now. Head back to the Quarry to have a little scene play as we
approach. We'll go inside the Quarry, but as we do a little girl dressed as a magical girl appears out of
nowhere and shoots a heart beam at us, destroying the walls that seal the Quarry when not in use. Uh
oh. She also introduces herself as Mellore.
Well, if you've been following the guide then you know where to get Stone, and you should even have
some as well (we JUST got some). If you haven't however, Stone can be mined using the pickaxe in the
Great Forest, namely the cave where the second signpost is.
Simply go gather 5 Stones and return to the Quarry and speak to these guys. Hand over the Stone and
watch the scene. It seems we'll need to wait for them to finish repairing stuff here so we'll need to
pass time. They also give us a stamp so that's cool.
Garoo suggests we head back to town and see if people need any help. We're about to get some great
upgrades so be ready! Return to town and you can go check the bulletin board to see we've got a quest
from someone named Bertrand over on Outlander Lane. Head on over there and go all the way right
until you stomble upon him .
Talking to him will start a new sidequest. This one, however, is our first "Shop Quest".
Permission to Trade
Reward: Stamp, 500 EXP, 500 baqua
This quest is mandatory and part of the main questline. You start it by talking to Bertrand on
Outlander Lane.
It seems the man wants to set up a weapon shop, but as we know by now, he'll need materials needed
for this. Of course, before we can start building (rebuilding?) we'll need to talk to Isha about it and see
if she approves.
Find Isha
Isha can be located in the Residential District. Fast travel there and head to the area to the left, the
area after the one where our house is. As you talk to her she'll tell you that she intentionally kept
herself busy because Bertrand talks too much haha. Oh well, I've done that a lot myself haha.
Anyway, return to Bertrand and let him know you talked to Isha... and that's it. He'll get to work and
the Weapon Shop will be up, no need to go fetch some materials for him either. Nice!
Ok, we can now upgrade our weapons. You might be asking: how does this differ from the smithy?
Here's how:
The smithy simply increases the stats of your weapons (47 -> 59 ATK for example).
The weapon shop increases the rank of your weapon (in this instance we go from 1* to 2*).
Increasing the rank of our weapon increases our stats similar to the smithy, but also unlocks
certain abilities. It is also considerable more expensive.
Knowing the differences between the two, note that upgrading CJ's weapon will not only give her
higher ATK, but her weapon changes to blue and we now get a 4-hit combo on the ground and a 2-hit
combo in midair (previously it was 2 and 1 respecively). That is great! This and the link attacks will be
great!
As for Garoo's weapon, he'll be able to use charged attacks, making him deadlier than ever. Note that
you'll need baqua and items for this. For the first upgrade you'll need Gargoyle Wings and Ogre Horns.
These are dropped by killing the little Gargoyles and the Greatsword Lizardmen in the Great Forest.
For now we can only upgrade to rank 2 so I recommend you do that. A scene will play right after
where're shown another merchant in need. this one is for armor! Also, we get to name our weapons!
That's right! Give your weapons a really dope/cringy name!
Find someone looking to open a store on Outlander Lane
Now that we have weapons, let's go see how and where we can get armor. Just next to Bertrand you
can find Frida. Talking to her will start another Shop Quest.
This quest is mandatory and part of the main questline. You start it by talking to Frida on Outlander
Lane.
Ok... just where in the Great Forest are we going to find paint? I was expecting something like bring
her some herbs so she can make green pain out of them, but nope, we need to find actual paint.
Well, fast travel to the Great Forest then use the signpost to go to the cave area. From here simply go
left and start going down the tunnels. We've been down here before, just before getting this quest.
Head to the very bottom and exit via the right side, just past the Greatsword Lizardmen.
We're in the underground cave where the pond to fish is, but on the left side this time. There's also a
signpost here so make sure to save your game. To the right you can find a chest with Critical Balm
Lv.1.
Head right and a little scene will play. Right after we'll have to fight a wolf like enemy that I'll
obviously call Hellhound. This guy is not a boss, but a tough enemy. He has a couple of attacks, namely
a charge attack that you can quick step through, and a jump n smash attack where he jumps in the air
and comes down slamming the ground. The best thing to do about this is to make full use of your link
attacks. Going CJ > Garoo > CJ allows you to make a quick step behind him after the attack, allowing
you to avoid all damage.
After the fight, head right and you'll find a pot and a chest.
Open the chest to find some Paint... what is it doing here? The pot has an Ancient Scrap (might be
random). From here the path to the right is blocked so return to the signpost, leave the forest
completely and return to Frida. Give her the paint to end the quest.
Once you complete the quest, the Armor Shop will be available. The Armor Shop works in pretty much
the same way as the Weapon Shop: you upgrade your armor's rank to increase its base stats and
unlock some abilities. For CJ's armor you'll unlock Double Jump, which is awesome. Garoo on the
other hand, allows you to parry enemy attacks. This is actually his still (like CJ's side step) so that's
fantastic. For both of these you'll need Crystal. These you can get in the tunnels in the Great Forest.
Time to go get an item shop, or something of its kind. Head to the plaza and you'll see the person in
need right away. Talk to him and you'll get another Shop Quest. Before anything, however, go to the
bulletin board and check it out. There's a second quest there. Might as well do it, right?
This quest is mandatory and part of the main questline. You start it by talking to Robert at the Plaza.
Head to the end of the Residential District
This man gave us a potion to drink and wants us to run all over the place. Note that you DON'T have to
run over there, you can still fast travel around so that's good at least.
First off he wants us to go to the Residential District. Fast travel there (to Residential District Interior)
and approach the at the end. After that fast travel to Outlander Lane and head right just past
Tatara the Smithy. You'll notice that the path here is now open and takes us to a new area in town.
Head up there, Second Street.
As you enter you'll see Robert right in front of you. Go ahead and talk to him. Watch the little scene
that plays out and the Apothecary will be open for business. Nice! The quest will also come to an end,
so that's nice!
She wants us to get her an Ebony Pelt. Just where can we find one? Well, remember the Hellhound we
fought during the quest An Armorer With an Eye for Fashion? Yeah, we need to kill it again for a
guaranteed drop. Just in case you don't remember where it is, you need to head to the signpost at the
cave in the Great Forest, follow the tunnels under it and at the bottom go right into the next screen
where you'll find another signpost.
Past this signpost is the Hellhound. Goa head and kill it once more to obtain the pelt.
Use the signpost nearby to get out of here and return to the Plaza. Talk to Navia and give her the pelt
to end the quest. It kinda seemed... that she just wanted one for herself, huh? Oh well, as long as we
get a stamp.
After the quest above, we now have the Apothecary open. We can make all sorts of potions here, for
healing, temporarily increase our stats, or even lower elemental damage. Just like with the tavern,
you'll need to create these at least once so you can purchase them directly without the need of
materials. Of course, using your own materials is much cheaper so try doing that instead of buying
them.
For this objective we simply need to create a Healing Potion. You should have the ingredients already
(Herbs are picked up from the blue sparkles on the ground in the Great Forest and the Slimejelly drop
from the Angry Pumpkins).
Once you've crafted your potion the quest will finally come to an end. It felt super long.
After all the stuff that we did, it seems we're ready to call it a day and rest so that we can go back
inside the Quarry. Of course that's not going to happen. Before you head back to your base, go check
the bulletin board and you'll have a plethora of quests. Nice.
I highly suggest you go through these because you get tons of new shops. Especially the Profit
Chasing quest. This one allows you to buy tools and upgraded them. Doing this will allow us to gather
better materials from trees, deposits, and whatnot so make that your #1 priority right now. Many of the
upcoming quests will start asking for these materials so you might get these upgrades out of the way
ASAP. They ARE quite expensive, but you'll be getting tons of baqua from quests.
It seems Squash lost his spectacles. It's those kinds of glasses that have like a magnifying glass to
see jewels and stuff real close. They're very close by so let's get them real quick.
Head to the Plaza and on the right side you'll be able to find a kid called Avan.
Go ahead and talk to him. He'll tell you about looking at some bugs under a rock and that they looked
HUGE. He'll end up giving you the spectacles because he's horrified of them haha. Nice. Return to
Squash and let him know we found them. He'll thank you for them and end the quest.
Simple and clean, ya? Well, this quest is quite important because it allows us to create accessories at
his place. Of course we start with just lv.1 stuff, but the more we help out the better the stuff we can
make.
Profit Chasing
Reward: Stamp, 500 EXP, 500 baqua
We start this quest by speaking to Felipe in Second Street.
Ask around to find out what business would be profitable
Felipe here wants to set up shop, but has no idea of what. He needs to know what the people around
here want to see, and of course he'll ask us to do the favor. And that we'll do, mostly because this is
one of the most important shops in town.
That being said, return to Outlander Lane and you'll want to run around asking people what they would
like. They all have the icon, but have a "Play" icon instead of a "!". The NPCs you'll want to talk to
are: Aki next to the entrance to Second Street, Olivier to the far right side, and Viti outside the
Weapon Shop.
Once you've talked to all 3 of them, return to Felipe and let him know what you found. He'll thank you
and end the quest. He'll settle by opening a Tool Shop. Yeah, here's where we'll be able to get
upgrades to our Axe and Pickaxe. Not only that but we can also purchase new tools, like the Fishing
Rod and the Traps.
Exactly 100 Baqua
Reward: Stamp, 500 EXP, 500 baqua
Ok, so Rene is going to set up a pawnshop. Awesome! This will allow us to sell stuff we've been
gathering from all over the place.
So we need to find something that's worth exactly 100 baqua. What could that be? We have no context
about prices in this game yet! Well, we'll see about that. Fast travel to the Residential District
Interior and head left to find a chest... what the hell is it doing here in the middle of nowhere? Go
ahead and open it up to find... 100 baqua... what's the meaning of this?
I mean, I guess Rene would know? Head back to Rene and give him the chest with the 100 baqua.
Watch the scene that plays out and the quest will come to an end. Very interesting. You can now sell
stuff! I'm usually a hoarder in games and try not to sell anything, but you may do as you please haha.
Guess where we're going? Yep, back to the Great Forest! Fast travel over there and open up your mini
map. You'll spot that the ! is in between the 2 signposts to the right. Fast travel to the cave area and
head right outside. You'll eventually reach Hogan's chest out in the open.
Go ahead and pick it up. Loot the forest if you want, then return to Second Street. Head all the way
right and speak to Hogan. Give him the chest and the quest will come to an end.
Ok, so what kind of shop is Hogan setting up? Well, it's the Trading Post. Here we can exchange
materials for other materials (1 lumber for 2 stone and 100 baqua... totally not worth it). More
importantly though, here's where you can exchange your stamps.
Please note that you don't necessarily turn in the stamps, but basically you get rewards based on how
many stamps you have. For example, at 10 stamps you get Ore x5, at 20 stamps you get Sylvan Crystal
x3, so on and so forth. Also, note that there are rewards for up to 160 stamps. I wonder if there are
160+ quests in this game?
Nevertheless, I'll be covering them all, but this one is at its end.
Ok, so this man wants a whopping 10 Iron Ore. Remember that the only area to get this is in the
Quarry, and at the time you get this quest you won't be able to get inside. If that's the case, simply
wait and proceed with the story until you're able to go back inside.
Once you're able to head inside, mine as much Iron Ore as you need. You get this from any of the
deposits inside.
Once you have all the Iron Ore, head back to Ranbir and give it to him. He'll thank you and end the
quest.
Once you're done with all these sidequests, head back to your base to have a scene play out.
From here on out we're in uncharted territory. Move ahead and you'll have to fight several blobs and
Gargoyles. Note that there are also some yellow crystals here. Make sure to mine all of these because
they'll be handy later. They drop Amber Crystals.
After the fight head right and head down the shaft. At the bottom there'll be another . As you
approach it you'll be told about Shattering Shields. That's gonna be Garoo's job! Also note that there
are several yellow mushrooms here so make sure to harvest them for some Glowshrooms.
After you defeat the Shield Lizardman, head right up the ledge and pull the lever to open up the red
gate ahead, then proceed to the next area. The monsters in here will start getting stronger so keep
that in mind. Make your way up the ledges and at the top climb the wooden scaffolding on the upper
left for a pot. Break it and continue going right. You'll reach a gate that's closed. Hmm.
Head up the shaft here and at the top we can go left or right. Go left first to find a pair of Lizardmen.
Kill them both and continue into the next area. Here open up the blue gate and open the chest behind
for Pioneer's Pendant Lv.1.
If you go left you'll have a ledge that drops you down to the area where we just crossed. Ignore it and
return right to the previous area, and at the fork at the top of the shaft go right this time. There are
some boxes here and a Shield Lizardman. BE VERY CAREFUL here and don't break the boxes to the
far right. Lure the enemy as far left as you possibly can and kill him.
Once you've done so pull the lever to open the gate at the bottom of the room, and use the boxes on
the right to reach the scaffold above and the chest that has Serendipity Pendant Lv.1.
Head back down, break the boxes, then head to the very bottom and head right into the next area. As
you enter this next area a long scene with Mellore plays out. We'll automatically leave the Quarry,
which is nice. Go ahead and save your game, then fast travel back to Outlander Lane and speak to
Gocteau. A scene will play where we bring little Mellore back.
Return, go down the shaft and make your way back to where you found Mellore. Well, we're definitely
in a different room from where we found Mellore, and thank god because there's a signpost here
alongside some NPCs. Go ahead and save your game then head up the ledges. Break the large rock
with Garoo and you'll see another one of those colored rocks blocking our path. These'll come into play
later.
Instead head up the shaft while you mine the Amber Crystals and to the left is a gate blocking the way.
Head right and you'll have to fight a pair of Shield Lizardmen. Nothing bad at all. Kill them and proceed
right to the next area. Head right past the enemies and at the fork jump over the shaft and go right.
You'll find a chest over here with Lightning Balm Lv.1.
Return and now go down the shaft. At the bottom you can go left to find another Shield Lizardman and
another one of those blue colored rocks. Oh well, another dead end. Instead head right and into the
next area where we'll have a signpost. Go ahead and save your game and open up the chest next to it
to find Healing Potion Lv.2.
Once you've done so, prepare yourself and proceed. This will trigger a little boss fight.
Lode Golem
For our second boss fight, we've got the Lode Golem. This time around, the boss moves around and has
slightly more dangerous attacks, but we're still very early in the game so it's still relatively easy.
That being said, let's start by talking about its attacks. Just like with the Hollow Plant boss, it only has
a handful of attacks, and for most of the fight you want to be controlling Garoo. Remember that we
were told that he can hit back rocks thrown at them? Yeah, that's gonna be the mechanic here.
Several red lines will appear on the screen and once they're gone rocks will start falling down. This is
similar to the Hollow Plant's root attack, but in the opposite direction. You want to take advantage of
this, however, as you can hit the falling rocks into the Lode Golem and deplete some of its armor
gauge.
Note that the attack above won't just start out of nowhere. There are 2 other attacks it does that
trigger it. First is a jump. It usually jumps back and away from you. The landing hurts quite a bit so
make sure to quick step away if you're where it's going to land. There is a little shockwave around it
when it lands so be careful.
The next attack that triggers the AoE attack is a slam. It usually just stands still with its arms in the
air, then slams them into the ground in front of it. This attack has a HUGE reach so be very careful. Get
as far away from it as you can to be safe.
Next up, is its rocket arm. It leans into the ground with its left arm on the ground (up to the elbow).
Once its "eye" glows, it'll shoot the arm. Make sure to hit this back at it to deplete the armor gauge by
a lot! In case you have CJ out, make sure to double jump over it.
Once you've depleted its armor gauge, the top part of the golem will break off and reveal the large
amber crystal, falling to the ground stunned. Take this time to do as much damage as you possibly can:
4-hit attack with CJ then link attacks.
And that's all there is to the fight. Remember that the boss will respawn periodically so you'll be
fighting it multiple times.
After the fight we get a Raw Lens and a scene. Once it's over we'll transition into the next quest.
With the golem defeated, we can finally start exploring the Runebarrows. Head right and open up the
chest to find Defense Ring Lv.1. That's our reward for defeating the golem.
Continue right and into the Runebarrows itself. A little scene will play out where we get attacked by
bandits. Yeah, it's the same guys from the very start of the game, and they're back. We are not fighting
4 bandits. They are basically the same as before, but this time they can also shoot arrows. They just
go directly in front of them so you can jump over them. After the scenes are over, we're stuck in here.
Damn them bandits!
Let's try to find a way out of this place, shall we? Being underground and knowing that we're trapped
gives me the creeps.
Head right into the next area and we'll have some enemies to take care of. We have more of these
Dandelion enemies. They're the same as always, just higher level. They do drop Curry Powder
(extremely weird drop) so grab that. We've also got some Electric Blobs. I got to say: I hate these
things so much. Be very careful because these guys will shoot out electricity all around them. They
don't get staggered by your attacks either so try not using any link attacks on them. The bad thing is
that, besides them doing a ton of damage, they'll also inflict Electrify. This makes you take damage
every second, stuns you a bit and prevents you from switching characters. Very nasty.
Continue making your way right being extremely careful of these Electric Blobs and enter the next
area to trigger a scene. Here we'll see there's a colored stone blocking the path, but more importantly,
there's a pillar in the center of the room that seems to be called the Menhir. Watch the scene as they
try to figure out how to make it work and right after we'll have to power it up by using a Rune-Lens.
Also note that there's a signpost next to it so feel free to save your game.
Now we need to solve this very difficult puzzle. We need to have the line of light continue. Simply make
it look like the image below.
The scenes will continue right after and we'll end up at a farm on the outskirts of the town. What is
happening? Well, it seems these Menhir things are teleportation devices that allows us to get around.
Can you all guess where we're going now? Yep, back to the Great Forest we go to gather materials to
get this farm up and running again. Let's not fast travel just yet. Head right and you'll find Ayus. There's
an entrance to a new area called Pasturage. Head up there just to unlock the area so we can fast
travel back here when needed.
And with that head back to the Plaza and check the bulletin board. Yeah, we've got another plethora of
quests ready for us!
It seems she thought going to the Great Forest was going to be a good idea, despite knowing that
there are monsters prancing around. She was only going to visit the entrance to gather some stuff, but
it seems a monster took her recipe. From the description, it seems it was a Gargoyle. Time to track it
down.
Fast travel to the Great Forest and into the cave. From the signpost head left and you'll see a Gargoyle
with a ... a VERY overpowered Gargoyle. This is a Lv.25 Gargoyle, but don't let that fool you, they
are very weak to begin with and it should go down it a link attack or two.
Once you kill it you'll get Sarita's recipe. Simply head back to town and give it to her to complete the
quest.
Find Ranbir
It seems this man Ranbir placed an order that's a bit too much. Well, he did ask us to gather some ore
for him, remember? Yeah, it seems he wants a little too many weapons.
Fast travel to the outskirts and you'll find Ranbir right before the entrance to the Quarry. Talk to him
and let him know that Bertrand can't complete his order. It seems he only wanted 100
SUPERB swords. Why did he want so many? Well, it seems he wanted to give a weapon to every single
person in here. He now wants 100 pieces of Gold Ore... yeah, he's crazy. BYE!
Return to Bertrand and let him know we've kind of dealt with Ranbir. The quest will come to an end
shortly afterwards.
Felipe that's outside the Tool Shop, wants us to get him a Giant Branch. If you don't know, you get
these by defeating the Hollow Plant boss in the Great Forest. You usually get one every time you kill it.
Once you have it simply come back to Felipe and give it to him to end the quest.
It seems Hogan can't find Sarita at all. He has a package for her but he can't find her. Mmm... didn't we
get a quest from her alongside this one? That being said, head back to Outlander Lane and go all the
way left to find Sarita outside the tavern.
Speak to her as you see her and let her know about Hogan and the package. Afterwards head back to
Hogan and tell him you've told Sarita to end the quest.
Being that Gocteau is the responsible for the outlanders, he asks us to check up on other of the
outlanders and see what's bothering them. It seems there's something going on in town with them.
Of course we can and will do that. Head right down the street and talk to the NPCs that have the
icon with a triangle in it. There are 3 and they are: Aki, Lukas, and Keke.
Once you speak to all 3, return to Gocteau and let him know what's bugging them. The quest will end
shortly afterwards.
After completing the quest About Your Order... you'll get another sidequest.
We start this quest by speaking to Frida over in Outlander Lane. This quest is available after you
complete the quest About Your Order...
It seems she had a discussion with Tatara and wants you to help her out in making up with him for her.
It seems she asked him for something, didn't like it and was rude. Wow.
Tatara is to the left and he's the armorer past the weapon shop.
Talk to him and he'll let you know what happened. He didn't think much of it. Very thick skinned, I like
that. This levels up the Smithy, which is nice. Afterwards go right and talk to Frida again. She'll thank
you and end the quest.
An Angler's Pride
Reward: Stamp, 750 EXP
We start this quest by speaking to Yuga over at the Residential District Interior. Personally I got this
quest made available after I completed the quest Making Up With Tatara.
It seems this old man is challenging us to catch a fish. We can do that! Note that you need to get a
Fishing Rod from the Tool Shop in order to do this.
And for this, fast travel to the Fishing Spot in the Great Forest. In case you haven't been there (for
some reason), follow the path behind the Hollow Plant boss fight and head down into the cave to find
the pond.
Once here simply fish out a... fish (ba dum tss). You'll catch the "Extremely Large Fish" automatically
without the need to do anything special. Just input the string of buttons that appears on the screen
and you'll get it.
Afterwards, head back to Yuga and show him your fish. He'll be jealous and end the quest haha
NOTE: Just to give you an idea of where I am right now, I have all my weapons and armor up to +7 and
I cannot upgrade them any further.
And with that, let's go complete this quest. Up to this point, you should have lumber and if you don't
you know where you get it (trees in the Great Forest). As for the Agricultural Seed, fast travel to the
"Great Tree Glade" and we'll have to fight the Hollow Plant once again. We've fought this thing several
times (at least I have). The only difference is that it's Lv.15 now. It still has the same attacks.
After the fight, you'll be able to get the Agricultural Seed from behind it.
And with that, return to the Farm in town and speak to Ayus. A little scene will play out where we give
him the materials he asked for and he'll give us our stamp and EXP.
And with that, we've got a new shop. Note that we can buy Wheat and Nuts from here.
Go ahead and now head up to the Pasturage. We've been here before, but this time you'll actually find
an NPC called Urmila and she gives you a sidequest.
A Fine Fence
Reward: Stamp, 500 EXP, 500 baqua
We start this quest by speaking to Urmila over at the Pasturage. This is a mandatory quest.
Gather lumber from the Great Forest
It seems her cows ran away... what was she expecting without a fence? Of course, for this she'll ask
us for some lumber to make them. I guess we can do that. You only need 6 of them so go ahead and
head to the Great Forest and get some (if you need some anyway).
Of course, if you have the lumber go ahead and give it to her to end the quest.
Go ahead and complete that one to end this quest. We'll start the next one automatically, but note that
here in the Pasturage you can buy Milk. Come back here whenever you need it.
Bandit Busting
Reward: 500 EXP
After the previous quest (which felt extremely long because of all the smaller sidequests), leave the
farm area in its entirety and head back to the plaza. here you'll find Isha, who you should talk to.
We let her know what we found in the Runebarrows and about the Bandits and their little arrows.
During the scene we're introduced to Iugo, one of the mercenaried hired to watch over the town. He
looks cool, but I feel like he's going to be a bad character... haha.
During the scenes, we'll end up in the Quarry. Before we head in, speak to Karina here to start a
sidequest.
Lunch Run
It seems Karina is hungry, but just can't leave this place unguarded. Don't worry, you're doing good
work here girl, I'll go get you your food.
Leave the Quarry area and head to Outlander Lane. Speak to Sarita here outside the tavern and she'll
give you a Sandwich. Go ahead and return to Karina and give it to her. She gives you your stamp and
end the quest.
Well, now we need to get a Whetstone for Iugo. Head inside the Quarry itself, head down the shaft and
go left at the bottom to reach the orange colored rock blocking our way.
It seems the Whetstone is behind this and we need to find a way to destroy it. That's right! We're finally
getting a way to destroy these! We've found so many but I'm glad we're finally figuring out how to
destroy them.
It seems we need to attack them with the same element they're made from. This one, for example, is
made out of Earth so we need to attack it with such element.
Leave the Quarry and head back to town. Approach the bulletin board in the plaza to see.... another
plethora of sidequests. Have fun!
Note that to continue with THIS main quest, you want to complete the sidequest Care to Try my
Resource Bag?.
Rajiv wants a total of 10 Stone. If you don't have enough, head on over to the Great Forest and mine
some.
Once you have it all, return to Rajiv and give it to him to end the quest. Yeah, it was that simple!
As you speak to Jashan, he'll ask you to go to the Rune Quarter. This is a new place and it's located at
the far right on Outlander Lane. Head here and go all the way right. The exit to the right is now open
for us.
It seems this place is the one focus on magic. Sounds about right. Speak to Jashan here to update the
quest.
It seems he wants us to get 2 Giant Stones for him. If you didn't know, Giant Stones are dropped by the
Lode Golem boss in the Quarry. You probably only have 1 right now, but head back to the Quarry and
destroy the Lode Golem again (who's a bit stronger than before) to get a second Giant Stone.
Once you have them both, return to Jashan and give him the stones. He'll end the quest and get you
your rewards.
This shop is great because it increases your bag so you can carry more stuff from dungeon.
It seems a Gargoyle stole her spyglass and went into the Quarry. What's with these people and losing
stuff to monsters? Oh well, she'll ask us to retrieve it. We can do that!
Head to the Quarry and head inside. Head right, down the shaft, and right at the bottom to find the
Gargoyle. This one is Lv.30, which is quite high.
Still he's pretty easy. Kill to retrieve the Spyglass then return to Thara in the Residential District to end
the quest.
My Grandson's Favorite
Find Avan
The old lady asks us to help her find her grandson Avan. Yeah, we know this little kid. Head to the
Plaza and you can find the kid on the right side.
Talk to him and let him know what's up. Return to Aradhya afterwards to end the quest.
Save My Secrets
It seems Viti had her journal stolen. Oh noes. It seems the Bandits want in on her secrets. We cannot
let them have them! Fast travel to the Great Forest's Cave and head right. You'll eventually find a Lv.20
Bandit here just chillin.
Take him out and he'll drop the Journal. Return to Outlander Lane and give it to Viti. It seems that the
Bandits stole it because she wrote it was the "New Nevaeh Defense Plan"... no wonder they wanted it!
It seems Olivier is also a huge fan of Jeanne, just like Garoo. He also wants to help Jeanne out by
getting some Titan Nectar... and that's exactly what he needs. He needs 3 Titan Nectar. If you didn't
know, Titan Nectar is dropped by the Titan Flowers in the Great Forest. It's the large flower that spits
out seeds.
Give the man the nectar and the quest will come to an end.
It seems Ilda's book got robbed by Bandits and wants your help finding it. It may have been bought and
sold already. Damn. Well, let's go ask Isha if she can help us.
Talk to her and it seems she bought it. She didn't know it was stolen property. Sucks. She'll give it so
us so we can take it back. Head back to Ilda and give her the book. She'll be super happy and end the
quest.
Ilda here sets up the Rune Shop. This allows us to equip Rune-Lenses, which allow us to add elemental
properties to our weapons and even elemental resistances. This is pretty neat and exactly what we
need to proceed with the story.
During these quests, if you manage to get 30 stamps, you'll have a little scene where the town is
growing and you'll be told about Improving the Town and will increase the amount of Link Attacks by
1 (up to 3).
We also get a new stamp card, this one with 50 slots... oh god.
Anyway, after clearing the sidequest A Book on The Barrows, check the Rune Shop and we'll need to
get an Earth Rune. In case you didn't know for some reason, Amber Crystals can be found in the
Quarry. It's the large yellow crystals.
We also need a Rune Fragment. We should have 2 at this point so go ahead and make an Earth Rune
(make 2 if you want). We still need a Rune-Lens, so we'll get a third quest for this (there are actually 2
of them but only one is needed):
It seems he wants to set up a Rune-Lens forge, but he's missing a Raw Lens. We give him the one we
have, but he still needs the materials to get the forge itself up and running. Well, we need to go get
some Heavy Stones.
For Heavy Stones, it's basically from the same rocks in the Great Forest where you get regular Stones.
For this, however, you need to upgrade your pickaxe. If you haven't upgraded it already, head to
Outlander Lane and get your pickaxe upgraded. With it upgraded, head to the Great Forest and hit the
rocks until you get a Heavy Stone (it's a blue glow instead of yellow).
Once you have one, return to Joerg and the quest will come to an end.
He wants Bronze Ore? Well, I've talked about this in the main walkthrough. But you can initially get
Bronze Ore in the Quarry. From the entrance head right, go down the shaft and go left at the bottom.
You can find it past the Elementum Pillar. If you can't break it, keep on playing the main quest until
you're able to.
In the open area in the back, you can mine Bronze Ore from the deposits.
Once you have 3 of them, return to Second Street and give them to Lewis. He'll thank you and end the
quest.
Back to Main Quest again. After the quest above, we'll be able to equip Rune-Lenses. Go ahead and
equip the Earth Rune to CJ.
Now that we have the Earth Rune, head back to the Quarry, down the shaft and left at the bottom. Go
ahead and hit the Elementum Pillar to destroy it.
Make your way left (be very careful of the poison mist shooting out of the ceiling), open up the chest
with Healing Potion Lv.2 and continue until more poison gas is coming out from the ceiling. At the
side you can find a chest on a scaffold next to it. You'll need to go all the way left and up and around to
find Prospector's Earring Lv.2 inside it.
Now head to the bottom left corner to find a pink sparkle. Check it to find your Whetstone.
NOTE: In this small area you can find new deposits. These ones actually have Bronze Ore. Make sure
to farm these because they'll be useful later for sidequests and upgrades.
And with this we're ready to return to town. BEFORE we don, let's go explore real quick. Remember there were other Earth
Elementum Pillars? Yeah, let's go break one of them.
Fast travel to the Great Forest's Hellhound Lake and go all the way right into the next area. This area
is a dead end for now, but head right and you'll eventually reach a red chest that has an Earth Rune
Lv.1. We just made some of these!
To the right is a green Elementum Pillar, which we still can't break. Oh well. Return to town and speak
to Isha and Iugo. Watch the scene as we hand them the Whetstone and eventually the quest will come
to an end, starting the next one.
No Way Through
Reward: 500 EXP
Right after the talk with Isha, go ahead and check the bulletin board. We've got some more sidequests!
The man wants some Yellow Slimejelly. This thing is easy to find and you probably have some already.
In case you don't, you can find this by killing the blob enemies in the Quarry, the ones that spit out
rocks at you.
Kill them to get the Yellow Slimejelly and return to Robert. Give them to him and he'll thank you and
end the quest. We can now synthesize lv.2 items!
She needs her knife and the smithy has it. Head on over to Outlander Lane and talk to Tatara the
Smithy. He'll give you Preta's knife. Return to her and give it to her to end the quest... that's it.
Find Gocteau
It seems he wants to lower the explorer's tax. Oh yes, I'm all in for this! We need to find Gocteau first
though. Head to Outlander Lane and you'll find him just outside the tavern.
Speak to him and let him know about the petition. Once you do, return to Gerhard and tell him about it.
This brings the quest to an end.
Once you have these done, fast travel to "Farmside Menhir" and go through back to the Runebarrows.
Down here go ahead and save at the signpost if you need to, destroy the Earth Elementum Pillar and
proceed to the next room.
Over here you'll find more of the same electric enemies as before. This time, you'll see they have 2 red
arrows point down next to their level. This basically means they're weak to your Earth Rune-Lens.
This time we also have Lightning Gargoyles. They act mostly the same as before, but this time they
also shoot lightning at you. This lightning first takes the look of the root attack of the Hollow Plant.
There's a red line that appears that tells you where the lightning is going to strike.
Go through this room and you'll reach another Menhir. Approach the and we'll have to solve
another puzzle. You need no help for it, but just in case I'll leave the image below.
Once you do it, head through the Menhir to reach a brand new area, the Snowpeak snowy region.
Garoo is freezing to death haha. When we regain control, make sure to unequip the Earth Rune-Lens
because the enemies here resist it. To the right is a chest that has Earth Balm Lv.1.
Start making your way right and you'll start seeing the same enemies we've seen before, but this time
they're ice elemental. Be very careful of the Ice Blob and the Ice Flower. The former covers itself in ice
spikes, and the latter shoots out its seeds and these create ice clusters. Be careful of them.
As you go right you'll see a sparkle on the ground. Pick it up for some Frostgrass. This is a material
that you get here so make sure to pick up as much as you can. We need it for upgrades in a bit.
We also have Ice Gargoyles here. They charge at you and can freeze you so be careful, jump over them
and slash them. Eventually, after you kill many enemies, you'll head inside a cave where a scene takes
place. It seems Garoo can't destroy these large icicles because he's freezing. He thinks of heading
back to town and bringing Mellore and have her use her magic to destroy the icicle.
Once the scene is over, we'll be back at the Menhir and the quest will come to an end.
Go through the Menhir and a little scene will play where we see a weird man dancing around. Who is
this guy? Why is he dancing? He'll dance away and won't bother taking a look at us. Weird. You can try
chasing him but you can't find him. Instead head through the Menhir back to the Farm and fast travel to
the Plaza. Check the bulletin board to find a pair of sidequests.
Squash asks us for some Bronze Ore. We know where to get that! In case you don't know, you need to
head to the Quarry, go right inside, down the shaft and head left past where the Elementum Pillar was
and destroy the deposits in the back for Bronze Ore.
Once you have enough Bronze Ore (you may need to leave the Quarry and reenter a couple times), head
back to the Second Street and give it to Squash. He'll thank you and end the quest.
Remember Karina? The female guard at the Quarry that was hungry? Yeah, it seems she got mad at
Alain because he was trying to go inside the Quarry without his license. Goes to show. He feels bad
about that and wants our help closing the gap with her.
For that, we need to head to Sarita at the tavern in Outlander Lane and talk to her. Ask her for a
sandwich and she'll give you one. With sandwich in hand (or pocket), head to the Quarry and speak to
Karina.
She'll thank you for the sandwich and tell you she wasn't really mad haha. That's what my ex used to
tell me... ha! Anyway, after you do this, return to Alain and let him know what's up. He'll thank you and
end the quest.
After these, head to the Outlander Lane and speak to Gocteau who's at his usual place outside the
tavern.
It seems Mellore decided to go into the Quarry and clear up the rubble so she can't help us. For some
reason, Isha appears out of nowhere and after certain events, she'll join our party, at least until she
can clear the way at Snowpeak. Sounds great!
PLAYING ISHA
Isha is a great character that gives you the chance to attack from a range. Unlike CJ and Garoo that
use pickaxes and a large greatesword, Isha uses some floating orbs to attack opponents.
Unlike CJ and Garoo, however, Isha's attacks are limited. Meaning that after you attack with her, you'll
have to wait a second or two to have her orbs reappear. This is still similar to how you do your 4-hit
attack with CJ, but you can attack almost immediately with her. Not with Isha though. Keep this in
mind and change characters as soon as you have her attack to avoid taking any unnecessary damage.
This is even more important since Isha is your typical mage-type character with very low DEF and HP.
That being said, she can attack in several directions. You simply need to move the analog stick in the
direction and shoot. Her skill is also amazing. It teleports her up in the sky (just like a foot or so),
allowing you to avoid taking damage and dodging low horizontal attacks.
Later on, CJ learns how to quick step in the air and Garoo will be able to do a charge jump. Isha,
however, can hover around, which is amazing to get to hard to reach places. You'll be using these in
tandem to reach new heights, chests, and whatnot.
And with that, this quest comes to an end and start the next one immediately.
Culinary Expansion
It seems she has new dishes she wants to make, but doesn't have the required equipment. Shall we go
get her what she needs? No? Well, it's like you have a choice (unless you don't do this haha).
Anyway, she wants some Lightweight Lumber. This is dropped as by trees that you hit to farm lumber.
Of course, for this you need a Lv.2 Axe. Hit the little trees and the Lightweight Lumber is the blue
sparkles that drop.
We just need 3 of these so go grab them and return to Sarita once you have them. Give them to her and
she'll upgrade her tavern, ending the quest.
The man wants some Huge Ore. Ok... just where we get that? Head to the Quarry and you can get
these from the iron deposits, yeah, the regular iron deposits. Note that you need a Lv.2 Pickaxe in
order to get these. They drop as blue sparkles instead of the regular yellow ones.
Once you have 3 of them, return to Tatara and give him the Ore. He'll thank you and end the quest.
So we need to go collect Huge Ore. Where do we get it? Head to the Quarry and you can get these from
the iron deposits, yeah, the regular iron deposits. Note that you need a Lv.2 Pickaxe in order to get
these. They drop as blue sparkles instead of the regular yellow ones.
Once you have 3 of them, return to Jashan and let him know what happened (this feels super odd if you
already have the Huge Ore). He'll thank you and know exactly what to do to make them tougher. This
will bring the quest to an end.
Bring 8 of these to Ilda and she'll thank you, ending the quest immediately.
It seems this woman is talking smack about the food at Outlander Lane, which is most likely Sarita's
cooking. I don't like that. Let's change her mind.
Simply fast travel to Outlander Lane, talk to Sarita and get a Wild-Game Steak. Once you have it return
to Shanaya and give it to her. She'll eat it immediately and end the quest. This is a VERY short quest.
It seems this man lost his Travelogue in the Runebarrows. What was he doing down there? Doesn't
matter, we'll help him regardless.
Head left towards the Menhir and head down to the Runebarrows. From here head right and go across
the room until you fight a high level Lightning Gargoyle.
Kill the little guy and retrieve the Travelogue. Once you do, leave the Runebarrows and talk to Ayrton
once again. He'll thank you once you hand over the Travelogue and end the quest.
It seems Bertrand wants up grow his shop, but he needs wood to do it. Of course he does. Well, let's go
help him.
Anyway, he wants some Lightweight Lumber. This is dropped as by trees that you hit to farm lumber.
Of course, for this you need a Lv.2 Axe. Hit the little trees and the Lightweight Lumber is the blue
sparkles that drop.
We just need 3 of these so go grab them and return to Bertrand once you have them. Give them to her
and she'll upgrade her tavern, ending the quest.
Light as a Feather
She wants to create an armor that's "tough as nails", and asks our help with that. She asks for
something VERY weird, and that's a Bandit Cape... WHERE are we going to get that?
For this we are going to want to go to the Great Forest. As you enter, use the signpost to travel to the
"Hellhound Lake". If for some reason you don't have it, fast travel to the cave area, then go down
through the caves under the signpost, and at the bottom go right, kill the Greatsword Lizardman and
enter the next area, which is Hellhound Lake.
Once here, head right across this room, break the Earth Elementum Pillar if you haven't already (if
you've been following the guide, we already went through this) and head to the next area.
Out here, make your way right until you spot a Bandit.
This bandit is of higher level, but it shouldn't really be much of an issue. I am lv.18 at this point and
he's lv.30, quite a difference. He does have a lot of HP in comparison to the regular enemies, but
nothing that's worth worrying over.
After the fight, pick up the Bandit Cape, leave the Great Forest and return to Frida. She'll thank you for
this and end the quest.
After all the sidequests, upgrade your equipment, both your weapons and armor. To give you an
example, here's what I have up to this point:
Getting Isha's armor to 3* allows her to hover around, making the game so much fun.
And once you're ready, fast travel to "Farmside Menhir", use the Menhir to go down to the
Runebarrows. Down here head right through the room and use the next Menhir to exit to Snowpeak.
Once here in the snowy mountains, again head right across the open fields until you hit the ice wall
from before. A scene will play as you enter where Isha will easily break the wall. As she does this,
however, we'll see the same dancing man from before up ahead. That's so weird! Just who is he? Well,
Isha runs after him and it seems he's the actual mayor of town... Isha's dad. Wow!
The quest will end here, but the next one starts immediately. After her dad!
Right when we regain control, we'll be left at a fork. We can follow the upper path, of the lower path
under the rocks. Let's go down first. It's a dead end, but there are some goodies down there.
As you go you'll continue to fight the same enemies from before (icy Gargoyles, blobs, etc). Note that
you'll also find some new gathering points, kind of. We have blue mushrooms now! These
drop Shivercaps, so if you need them in the future, you know where to find them.
As you go deeper you'll find a Shield Lizardman and a brand new type of enemy, the Cryo Mage. These
guys are always floating in the air with a bubble around them. This bubble is a protective barrier and as
an armor gauge. To easily destroy it use one of Isha's attacks to immediately destroy it. For attacks,
they like to shoot a spiky ice ball that explodes after a second or two.
After the fight, continue right to the next area. Destroy the Earth Elementum Pillar here (you'll have to
re-equip your Earth Rune here), unequip your Earth Rune again and directly below the pillar you'll be
able to spot a chest with Defense Ring Lv.2 inside. Make sure to equip it.
From here, before you head down, notice that there are some Dandelion enemies in the upper right side
of the area. There's a platform up here you can get to. To do that stand on the highest point closest to
the path going down (just right of the chest). From here you want to double jump right, quick step in
the air, quickly switch to Isha and hover over there. You'll be able to find a chest
with Sapphire inside. Nice! Note that you'll be seeing more places where we'll need to do stuff like
this so practice!
Drop down the right side and at the bottom you'll find some crystals you can break. These are similar
to the crystals you found in the Great Forest, and the amber ones in the Quarry. Break them for
some Azure Crystal. These will be used for sidequests and gear upgrades later on so pick up as many
as you can.
From here head left following the bottom path and in the next area you'll find a chest with Healing
Potion Lv.2 and another large ice wall.
NOTE: Be careful here because there are some icicles on the ceiling that will fall when you get under
them. They have different color so you can spot them easily.
Head left some more and you'll find a Yeti enemy. This guy is super easy. I honestly didn't see what it
did as I killed it in one link attack. Start it with Isha to be at a safe distance and you'll be fine.
Past this guy, however, are several crystals you can break and gather. These are Azure Crystals, but
you can also find Lapis Lazuli here. Good find!
Head back to the fork where we started the quest and head right following the upper path now. When
you get to a little pit you're going to want to jump down and prepare to double jump and quick step to
the right. Doing this will let you get a chest with Ward Ring Lv.3. Make sure to equip it right away as it
gives you a ton of Magic Defense. I recommend you give it to Garoo.
The path here is blocked by a Green Elementum Pillar, so jump down, head back up, jump across the
pit and continue right killing enemies until you reach the next area. Save your game at the signpost
and continue right. As you do you'll find a chest out in the open with Healing Potion Lv.2.
Up ahead you'll find a pair of Yetis you'll need to fight. Use your link attacks to quickly dispatch them. I
suggest you start your link attack with Isha because of her longer range allows you to do it from a safe
spot. Also try doing it AFTER they attack so you're not caught in the middle of the attack.
Now head right to find yet another Menhir. Use it to head back down into the Runebarrows. Of course,
before we do that we'll need complete the puzzle. This one is a bit more complicated, but note that you
can spin the pieces more than once and they'll keep the glow, even if they're not directly touching the
line. I'll leave the answer below.
Back down in the Runebarrows, save your game at the signpost and continue right. We're back to
fighting the lightning enemies so equip your Earth Rune-Lens to have an easier time.
In this room we'll have a new enemy, the Electro Mage. These are the electric counterpart to the Cryo
Mages from Snowpeak. The way you fight them is the same: have Isha destroy its shield and
completely obliterate them with link attacks. Head into the next room and you'll immediately find a
chest with Healing Potion Lv.3.
Continue right and kill some enemies. Past the first few you'll find a new farmable item, the Viridian
Crystal. These are the green variants to the azure and amber crystals you've previously found.
Up ahead we'll find a new enemy, the Elite Shield Lizardman. These guys look like they're going to
kick your ass, but don't worry, they're very simple. Their shield lasts for 2 hits this time so have Garoo
attack them twice to get rid of it. Don't try using your link attacks before hand. Another thing that's a
bit different is that they can combo their attack. Well, they hit twice now so be careful.
After the fight, head right and we'll eventually have a split: follow the bottom or upper path. They both
lead to a different room, but these 2 rooms lead to the same one after them, so no matter which one
you pick you'll end up in the same room.
Let's follow the upper path first. As you enter the next room, open up the chest to find Healing Potion
Lv.3 inside.
Continue right and you'll find another new enemy, the Two-Legged Machine. Yeah, this thing is
completely different from anything we've seen before. They are a regular enemy, but let me tell you
about their attacks real quick. They have a charge attack that you can jump over, and it also jumps
and slams the ground, creating several shockwaves on both sides. You should also jump/double jump
over this.
There's nothing else here so head right into the next room. This is the room where the paths connect
to. Head right and down the shaft and at the bottom head left into the room. We're going to explore this
other room. As soon as you enter, open the chest in front of you to find Ward Ring Lv.2.
From here head left and you'll see a path going down. Head down here and you'll see yet another item
you can farm, the purple mushrooms similar to the ones in the Great Forest. These give
you Fragrantelle mushrooms.
Up ahead is blocked with a Green Elementum Pillar. Oh well, we'll have to come back later. And that's
it for this room. Going left takes you back to the split in the path, so head back right and to the next
room. There's nothing else here so follow the bottom right path into the next area.
As you head right you'll find a chest with Healing Potion Lv.3 and a signpost. Go ahead and save your
game.
Afterwards, head right to trigger a scene where we find Isha's dad. The man is acting real weird and
we're up for a fight against a Rune Golem. Well, I thought this was going to be a boss, but it's not. This
guy is like a stronger version of the Two-Legged Machine. It has the jump attack, but the shockwaves
affect the entire floor so make sure to jump. It also has a charge attack so jump over it. Lastly, it can
shoot out several lightning orbs that home in on you. Somehow, if you manage to get behind him when
he shoots these up in the air, they won't home in.
Watch the scenes after the fight. They're real nice. She also joins the party officially and we'll give her
the Rune-Lens we found. And that's it for the quest.
Once back here, head to the Plaza and check the bulletin board. Yeah, we've got a plethora more of
quests to do.
NOTE: I recently purchase the Trap from the tool shop so I could get meat. I'm assuming some of the
quests below are because of that purchase. If you bought the trap before and already did those quests,
feel free to ignore them.
Joerg wants to make his forge better and it seems something messing with his forge. Well, or course
he needs materials for this.
For Heavy Stones, it's from the same rocks in the Great Forest where you get regular Stones.
For this, however, you need to upgrade your pickaxe. In case you haven't already, head to Outlander
Lane and get your pickaxe upgraded. With it upgraded, head to the Great Forest and hit the rocks until
you get a Heavy Stone (it's a blue glow instead of yellow).
Once you have this, head back to Joerg and give him the Heavy Stones. He'll thank you and end the
quest.
Go talk to him and he'll tell you he wants to grow his farm, but for this he'll need some more seeds. We
can go get these real quick!
Leave the farm and fast travel to the Great Forest. In here fast travel to the cave and head right to the
next area. As you move along this area you'll spot 5 Titan Flowers. Their level is quick high so be
careful. They're the same as your regular Titan Flowers, but of course only higher level
Once you kill all 5 Titan Flowers and gotten the seeds, fast travel back to town and to the farm and
give them to Ayus. He'll thank you and end the quest. You can now buy Broccoli and Herbs from him. I
suggest you don't buy either. You can find Herbs in the Great Forest (pick up from the ground) and you
can find Broccoli on the ground to the left of the stall that you can also pick up. It's only 2, but you can
leave and come back to pick up more. Saves you a ton of baqua in the long run.
A Fine Factory
Reward: Stamp, 750 EXP, 1000 baqua
It seems Urmila needs help to make cheese and other dairy products. She asks us if we can find
someone that's not so busy that could help her. Pretty easy. Fast travel to the Plaza and you'll find a
person with the marker to the right.
Let her know about helping making cheese... and she loves cheese. Ok... Anyway, head back to Urmila
and let her know you found someone. She'll thank you and end the quest. Nice and easy.
A Hearty Meal
This man wants a "mouth-watering" piece of meat. Where are we going to get one of these? Well,
simple, fast travel to the Great Forest and head right. Go down the path until you see the spot where
you can place THE trap.
Once you place the trap, leave the forest and you'll get the mouth-watering meat. Fast travel back to
Devdas and give it to him to end the quest.
Fur Coat Delivery
Lalisa knows we'll do anything for a stamp. Anything? Hmm. Anyway, she wants us to take the old lady
in the next area some winter clothes. Yeah, the same lady that was real mean to us in a previous
sidequest. Oh well, we're just taking her something.
Head left into the Residential District Interior and you'll see Shanaya right in front of you.
Talk to her and give her the clothes. After being mean to us again, return to Lalisa and let her know the
stuff is done. She will end the quest.
Tonight's Menu
She wants us to use our traps to catch her a prey. It doesn't really matter where you get it from. Hmm.
The fastest way is to go to the Great Forest. Fast travel over there and run inside until you find a spot
to place a trap. Do so and leave the Forest. If you're lucky you'll get one. If you don't, head back in and
place another trap. Rinse and repeat until you get at least one.
Come back with one piece of meat and the quest will end.
It seems little Tanvi is a fan of Squash, the parrot demi human we met near the start of the game. She
asks us to give him a letter. Fast travel to Second Street and you'll find him outside his Accessory
Shop on the far left side.
Watch the little scene, then head back to Tanvi and let her know you delivered the letter. She'll thank
you and end the quest.
Where we get that? Head to the Quarry and you can get these from the iron deposits, yeah, the regular
iron deposits. Note that you need a Lv.2 Pickaxe in order to get these. They drop as blue sparkles
instead of the regular yellow ones.
Once you have 3 of them, return to and give it to him. He'll thank you and end the quest.
That being said, fast travel to the Farmside Menhir and in here fast travel to Snow Wolf's Edge. From
here go left to the next screen, head up the shaft and on the right side you'll find the spot to place your
trap.
Once you've done this, leave the Snowpeak region and you'll get Large Antlers. Go show them to
Kamui to end the quest.
I'll be spotting you where to do the quest above since it's in the new area we're going to. Fast travel to
the Farmside Menhir and use the signpost inside to head to the "Grand Hall", which is where we
started the quest.
From here head right past where we destroyed the Rune Golem and enter the next area. A scene will
play where we find some device that can take a Rune-Lens. Sadly we don't have one so we'll have to
come back later. For now continue right and open the chest to find Healing Potion Lv.3 inside.
Right next to it is another Menhir. This one will take you back to Snowpeak, but the higher area. Of
course, before we're able to use it we'll need to go through the little puzzle.
Once we're back outside, start making your way right and you'll find a new enemy, looks like
a Chinchilla. These guys love to jump at you and try to bite you. They drop Small Pelt which is real
nice.
Continue making your way right killing more enemies and we'll eventually reach a split (where the 2
Chinchillas are). We can go up or we can continue going right. Let's go up first. We'll have to hop
across some platforms so do so (use double jump/quick step/hover if necessary) and enter the next
screen.
Here, before you start, be warned that if you fall you'll have to go left and all the way around to get
back up here. Kind of annoying, so keep that in mind. Also remember that you can use your right stick
to move the camera around to spot the next ledge. Approach the ledge to the right and jump to the
ledge above. From here double jump and quick step to the right and land on the ledge over here.
From here once again double jump and quick step right, but this time use your hover to land to the
ledge to the right. One more jump to the far right. This will lead you to a chest that has Pioneer's
Pendant Lv.3. There's also a Red Elementum Pillar here so it's currently a dead end.
From here drop down and you'll be in a screen full of Yetis. There's nothing here besides that so kill
them and head right into the next screen. Head on over to the right and jump across the shaft going
down. Over here you'll see a place to put a trap. Note that you'll see this if you currently have the
sidequest Acquire the Antlers!.
Head down the shaft and go left. Have Isha break through the ice wall and at the end you'll find a chest
with Covetous Pendant Lv.1. You'll also find a deposit here, this one gives you Silver Ore. This is the
first silver deposit we've found!
Head right and enter the next area. Go ahead and save your game at the signpost and head right to find
a chest with Healing Potion Lv.3. Further right we'll have to fight a new type of Hellhound, which gives
me huge Fenrir vibes. Anyway, this is not a boss and fights pretty much the same as the Hellhound
from the Great Forest. It likes to hop and claw in front of it. It also creates some icicles when it lands.
The one thing it LOVES to do is charge.
After the fight, watch the scenes and we'll find a Rune-Lens. Awesome! We'll be able to use it back in
the Runebarrows! Remember that machine from before? Yeah, there!
Mysterious Machinery
Reward: 1000 EXP
Right as we regain control, go ahead and open the chest nearby for Strength Ring Lv.2.
Before we continue with the quest, return to town and check the bulletin board. We've got some quests
to deal with.
Rajiv wants to prepare for the winter and wants some Small Pelts. If you remember, we get these from
killing the Chinchilla-looking enemies at Snowpeak. I recommend you fast travel to the Crest and head
right. You'll be able to find 3 Chinchillas almost in a row. Kill them, leave and come back as much as
you need to.
Once you have all 10 pelts, return to Rajiv and give them to him to end the quest.
It seems the pawnshop is not doing so good. He wants us to help him find someone who needs money.
Kind of an odd request, but we can do that.
Head to Outlander Lane and head to the right side past the weapon and armor shop. You'll be able to
find Keke outside of the Inn.
Talk to him and he gambled everything. Yep, he definitely needs money. Return to Rene and talk to
him. Let him know about Keke and the quest will come to an end.
He wants to have a little competition. He's kind of an asshole and I don't like him at all. We need to go
get 3 Huge Ores from the Quarry.
Where we get that? Head to the Quarry and you can get these from the iron deposits, yeah, the regular
iron deposits. Note that you need a Lv.2 Pickaxe in order to get these. They drop as blue sparkles
instead of the regular yellow ones.
Once you have 3 of them, return and show them to him to end the quest. Serves you right.
Once you've completed them, return to the Farmside Menhir, head down into the Runebarrows and use
the signpost to fast travel to Grand Hall. From here head right into the next area and continue doing so
until you reach the . Watch the scene play out where we place the Rune-Lens in the machine and...
yeah, we have a new path now.
The best part of this all is that we now have a Rune-Lens for Garoo! Yeah, now all 3 characters have a
Rune-Lens and can make use of elemental properties, both offensively and defensively.
As soon as the scene comes to an end, the quest will come to an end. This was a short and sweet one!
And with that, let's go through that newely opened passage. This is basically going to take us to the
very top of Snowpeak, so let's get on our way. As soon as you start this area you'll have an Elite Shield
Lizardman. Go ahead and take him out and continue right. There will be some more electric enemies
but you'll reach a vertical shaft.
Kill the Electro Mage here and the bottom here is blocked with a green Elementum Pillar. The middle
path is also blocked by an Elementum Pillar, a red one. Ignore them both for now and follow the upper
path. This leads to a lone Menhir. Approach it for a puzzle. This is the hardest one thus far, but really
entertaining to figure out. Of course the answer is down below, just spin the one that's selected to
complete it.
This will open the path to Snowpeak - Summit. Let's go!
Go ahead and save your game at the signpost, then continue right to find a chest with Healing Potion
Lv.3.
Continue making your way right killing all enemies you come across (there are A LOT of them so take
your time) and enter the next area. This is another area full of monsters, Cryo Mages and Yetis.
Eventually you'll find some Shivercaps and a chest nearby with Earth Balm Lv.2.
Up ahead you'll have to fight a pair of Fenrir (Ice Hellhounds) so that's tough. Continue your way right
after the fight killing even more enemies until you reach the next screen where you'll find a signpost
and a chest with Healing Potion Lv.3.
When ready, go ahead and save your game, prepare yourself and head right to trigger a scene and right
after a boss fight!
Time to fight the Blizzard Brothers. These guys appeared during the trailer of the game and ever since
we set foot in Snowpeak I was wondering when we were going to fight them!
Unlike the Lode Golem and the Hollow Plant before, the Blizzard Brothers are much harder. Well, to be
honest they're not as bad. The one difference is that these guys actually summon minions. They're not
hard at all, but they can be a nuisance.
As we always do, however, let me start by talking about their attacks. There aren't many, but we
should still go over them. Luckily for us, you can easily tell which attack its going to be because the
eyes of one of the brothers will light up.
Let's start with the big brother with the yellow eyes. When his eyes light up he'll summon several spiky
ice balls that move towards your position. They only travel to where you are when they appear so you
can run under them before they get close or quick step through them and you'll be completely safe.
They do freeze you if you touch them so be careful.
For the little brother's attacks, when his blue eyes glow white he'll grow super big, bigger than the big
bro. This is because he exhales a bunch of ice cold vapor. This not only hits you if you touch it, but it
creates several ice spikes on the ground.
Personally I haven't found a way to prevent this from happening, but what you can do is stay airborne
as long as you possibly can by using your double jump, quick step, hover, and even unleashing a link
attack. That's a lot.
The worst part about this attack is the fact that you're frozen if you get hit by it, preventing you from
moving and forcing you to move the analog a lot in order to break free.
Now, about the minions they summon, they can summon a whole bunch of Dandelions to just float from
one side to the other, but they can also summon Ice Blobs and Yetis as their health gets lower and
lower.
And that's about it for the fight. It's not overly complex, but the freezing and minions can be very
annoying.
After the fight we'll get a Rune Fragment and a Giant Hunk of Ice. Nice! Watch the scenes after the
fight where we'll find a Menhir, but it's blocked by a green Elementum Pillar. It seems we need to find a
way to destroy it, just like we can do with the orange ones. Nevertheless, the quest will come to an
end here and the next one will start. See you guys in the next page!
Right as we regain control, head right to find a chest with Vitality Ring Lv.2. We'll be back for you
Elementum Pillar.
And with that, return to the signpost and head back to town. Once you're back, go ahead and go to the
bulletin board to have an actual plethora of sidequests for you to do. Yeah, there's like 10 or so this
time so have fun.
Remember back at the start of the game CJ wanted Katsu Curry? Well, it seems we're finally getting it!
What Sarita wants is some of that Curry Powder we've been getting.
If for some reason you don't have enough of these, and you don't know where to get them, you get
them from the Dandelions down in the Barrows, yeah where all the Electro enemies are. They drop
Curry Powder so go kill them if you need to and return to Sarita. She'll thank you and end the quest.
We'll now have some new recipes for us to do here!
Squash wants us to find some Silver Ore to make his display look more appealing. Ok, we can do that.
Despite the quest asks us to find Silver Ore from the Quarry, you can get it from anywhere.
For one, you can get it from Snowpeak super easy. You can fast travel to "Snow Wolf's Edge" and head
right, kill the Snow Hellhound and you can find some Silver Ore deposits behind him.
IF you want to get it from the quarry, you'll need to get an Ice Rune from Ilda in The Rune Quarter and
equip it to any of your character. Once you do this, head to the Quarry and fast travel to "Cavern".
Here simply head right and you'll find a Water Elementum Pillar. Destroy it and behind you'll find a
bunch of Silver Ore deposits.
Once you have enough Silver Ore, return to Squash and give it to him to end the quest.
This man wants us to run around to show people his new potion? Nope, not this time! He now needs
someone big and burly. Garoo of course declines, so we've got to find someone else!
Head to the Outskirts and head right to find a demihuman near the entrance to the Great Forest
called Siu-tien.
Let him know about Robert needing someone and he'll head on over there. Afterwards you yourself
head to Robert to end the quest.
It seems there's a special trap in Snowpeak and Felipe wants it. We can make that happen!
Fast travel to the Farmside Menhir and use the signpost to go to the "Crest". Head across this large
area and proceed to the next area following the lower path and you'll find tons of Yetis. These are
always here, but this time you'll find one that has a above them.
Go ahead and kill it to get the "Legendary Trap". Return to Felipe and give him the trap. He'll thank you
and end the quest.
Our boy Rene wants to make a new warehouse and... guess what? Yeah, he needs materials! He wants
some Lightweight Lumber. This is dropped as by trees that you hit to farm lumber. Of course, for this
you need a Lv.2 Axe. Hit the little trees and the Lightweight Lumber is the blue sparkles that drop.
We just need 3 of these so go grab them and return to Rene. Give it to him and the quest will come to
an end. Now you'll make more money when selling your stuff.
Simmer my Scales
The man wants a Large Scale and it seems we can find one big enough in the Quarry. Fast travel over
there and use the signpost to go to "Cavern". From here head left into the previous area then go up the
shaft and at the top go left until you reach the next area where you'll find a chest with a .
This will give you the Large Scale Hogan's looking for. Return to him and give up the scales to end the
quest. Real easy!
A Guide to Stowpacks
It seems Jashan wants us to find a treasure for him. This treasure is a Stone Slab and it's in the
Barrows. Hmm. Head on over to the Farmside Menhir and use the signpost to go to the Grand Passage.
From here head right and you'll find out an Electro Mage with a over them. This guy is
overpowered, but just in level. He's the same as all the other mages so take care of him (remember to
use Isha to break his bubble) and you'll get the Stone Slab.
Once you have it return to Jashan and give it to him to end the quest. We can now level up our
resource bag and stowpack. Neat!
Isha's Secret
This is probably the most awkward quest in the game haha. Joerg is in need for Isha's clothes. Yeah,
since she can use magic without the need for a Rune-Lens he wants to know if he can learn anything
from it. I uh... ok?
She'll apologize for now washing Isha's clothes and that's cool, we want the clothes warm with Isha's
smell... oh god. Head back to Joerg and give them to him. After CJ threatens him if he smells the
clothes, the quest comes to an end haha. Typing this one made me uncomfortable haha.
Mending Memories
Reward: Stamp, 750 EXP
Kimaya wants us to find her some Silver Ore so she can fix her brooch. It's very important because it
was given to her by her late husband. We are DEFINITELY doing that! Despite the quest asks us to find
Silver Ore from the Quarry, you can get it from anywhere.
Once you have enough Silver Ore, return to Kimaya and give it to her to end the quest.
Trap a Hellhound
This man wants us to catch a Hellhound. Yeah sure we can do that. Of course he doesn't tell us which
one and I thought it was one of the new Snow Hellhounds. Nope, it's the Hellhound we found in the
Great Forest. For this, head inside (you're already here) and fast travel to "Hellhound Lake". As you get
here you'll see a marker where you can place the trap.
Once you place it, leave the Great Forest and you'll get the Hellhound. Then simply speak to Siu-tien
who's nearby and the quest will end.
Once you're done with all the sidequests, let's continue with the main story. Haed to Sarita's tavern in
Outlander Lane and you'll have several scenes play out. It seems there are more bandit problems. It
also seems that poor Isha is feeling down because of the person we found dead inside the Snow
Hellhound. I bet she does.
Time to ask around town and see if anyone knows anything. Head to the Plaza and speak to Corrin.
Watch the scenes that play out here, speaking to Rosalie and Boy right after. We'll get several pieces
of info here, but it seems for now we'll have to go to the Great Forest.
Once in the Great Forest, fast travel to the "Hellhound Lake", cross the room to the right and exit. As
you do a scene will play out where we find the Bandit camp. CJ wants to take out all 100 of them with
just us 3, 33 per character. Yeah right. Garoo has an idea and jumps down and talks to them.
Somehow, they just leave, just like that. How did he do that? I dunno.
Return to town now and head to Outlander Lane. Speak to Gocteau outside the tavern to trigger some
scenes. After you do, Iugo will leave and we'll end the quest. Nice! See you in the next page!
Ok, time to go back down into the Runebarrows. Before we do, head to the Plaza and check the
bulletin board. Guess what we have? Yeah... another plethora of sidequests. I hope you like doing
these because there are a bunch of them (and a whole 'nother bunch coming as well).
Before we do these, there are some things I recommend you to do. Since we'll be going and exploring
all 3 areas (Great Forest, Quarry, and Snowpeak), we should get some stuff so we can go even deeper
into them.
We should start by going to The Rune Quarter and level up your Runes to Lv.2. We did the sidequest in
the previous page so we can level them up to Lv.2 so you do that. It allows you to equip Lv.2 runes, so
that's great.
While we're here, talk to Ilda and make an Ice Rune Lv.1. Since we just got the Lightning Rune Lv.1 as
a reward in the previous quest, we can now destroy orange, blue and green/yellow Elementum Pillars.
The only one we're missing is the red one.
Also make sure to upgrade your tools. This comes in very handy as you'll be able to get new materials.
Initially you'll need these materials to upgrade your tools, weapons, and armor so make sure to
upgrade them. I got them: 3* Axe Lv.3, 3* Pickaxe Lv.3, 2* Fishing Rod Lv.2, 3* Trap Lv.3.
And that should be it. You can still upgrade your weapons and armor, but that doesn't matter for
exploration.
Find Bertrand
Seems like Tatara is looking for Bertrand. Where could he be? Well, walk 10 steps to the right and
you'll find him right there. Talk to him then return to Tatara to end the quest.
For this, however, you need to upgrade your pickaxe. In case you haven't already, head to Outlander
Lane and get your pickaxe upgraded. With it upgraded, head to the Great Forest and hit the rocks until
you get a Heavy Stone (it's a blue glow instead of yellow).
Once you have these, head back to Hogan and give him the Heavy Stones. This will bring the quest to
an end.
It seems there's a staff that Ilda wants, and it looks like we may be able to find it in Snowpeak. I guess
we'll have to run around and see if we can find it. This is one of those quests that don't have a quest
marker until you find it. Oh well, that's why I'm here, right?
Head to the Barrows and use the signpost to fast travel to Summit. From the signpost head right
fighting enemies until you find a Cryo Mage with the .
Go ahead and kill it to get the Mage's Staff. With it, return to town and head back to Ilda at The Rune
Quarter. Give her the staff to end the quest. Nice! Note that after this quest we can finally synthesize
a Fire Rune. We cannot get this yet (at least if you did this quest as soon as it was available), but
that'll come in very handy.
Building Fences
Reward: Stamp, 1000 EXP, 1500 baqua
Yeah, our man is expanding the farm again and needs... yep, you guessed it, more materials! Let's go
get him some. He wants some Lightweight Lumber. This is dropped as by trees that you hit to farm
lumber. Of course, for this you need a Lv.2 Axe. Hit the little trees and the Lightweight Lumber is the
blue sparkles that drop.
We just need 3 of these so go grab them and return to Ayus. Give him the lumber and the quest will
come to an end.
Go talk to the very rude kid in the plaza and he'll want a fish. Yeah, even CJ doesn't like him. Fast
travel to the Great Forest and use the signpost to go to the Fishing Spot. Head down the slope to the
left and fish a fish out... that felt so dumb to write haha. I gotta say though, doing this on PC with Xbox
button prompts and playing with a PS5 dualsense is REALLY hard, especially if you play a ton of
Nintendo haha.
Once you have the fish though, leave the Forest and take it to the kid. It seems the fish was for Yum-
yum. Nice. I hope the kid is less of a jerk now.
Veda is looking for a mischievous little cat. Hmm. It seems he took off with the old man's lunch haha.
Head to the farm and go left to find a cat past the bridge.
Find Me a Star
It seems she's a famous travel writer and wants us to get her a celebrity from around here... but who?
We have no clue, but the one person we can ask is Priya. Head to the Plaza and you'll find her near the
bulletin board. She'll have no clue, but she says her dad is awesome. And he is, allowing us to use his
other house.
Head to the Residential District where you'll find him outside his house. Again, he'll have no idea, but
maybe his dad? Remember his dad? The crazy old man at the Plaza that wanted to fix the clock tower?
Yeah, it seems it's a no go with him as well. Return to Lavinia to give her the bad news, and she'll be
happy with us for an interview. She saw us giving it our 100% so we'll do just good.
It looks like Sara wants a cat that might suit a sorcerer. She's Ilda's daughter and is practicing to be
just like her mom. I think she wants a black cat. For this fast travel to the Outskirts and you'll be able
to find it all the way to the right.
Once you have it return to Sara and give it to her. She'll thank you and end the quest.

Yeah, pretty high up. I can get stuff a bit better, but didn't want to farm any more than I needed after
doing all those sidequests. And yes, I have not had the need to farm at all.
Note that, if you've been doing all the sidequests up to now, you'll complete your second stamp card.
That's right! That's 80 stamps collected! Don't worry because we get a second 50 stamp card... I'm not
even joking. I wish I was, but I'm not. This just means that probably another 50 sidequests. Yay...
Anyway, now would be a good time to go check in with Hogan over at Second Street and exchange any
of your stamps for rewards. You'll also get another link attack if you got your second 50 stamp card, so
that's amazing.
World Exploration
And with that, let's go and explore all the areas now that we have the means to break most of those
Elementum Pillars. And with that, let's start with the "Quarry". Head there and fast travel to "Cavern".
Here simply head right and you'll find a Water Elementum Pillar. Destroy it and behind you'll find a
chest with Hunter's Earring Lv.2.
Use the signpost to return to the entrance of the Quarry, but head back inside. Head right, jump over
the shaft going down and enter the room in the upper right corner of this area. Remember this Green
Elementum Pillar? Yeah, we can finally break it!
Behind you'll find several Lizardmen and Dandelions. The path is rather linear but when you reach
some wooden scaffolds, go up them and open the chest to find Prospector's Earring Lv.3.
To open the gate you need to flip the lever below, so go down there and flip it.
Head back up and cross. Open the other gate right away and open the chest for Healing Potion Lv.3.
Head right now and into the next area. Follow the path and go down the shaft when you reach it. Down
here we'll find an Elite Shield Lizardman. Kill him and for now go left and destroy the large rock here.
It's been a while since we've seen one of these, huh?
Go through this little tunnel and go through the entrance to the next area to find a lever. We've been
here before, but we can finally open up this gate! Little shortcut.
Return and go right past where the Elite Shield Lizardman was. Go up 2 scaffolds and instead of
continuing up, go left first and flip the lever to open up a gate at the top.
Head up to the top now and go right. Flip the lever here to open the blue gate to the far left. We don't
need to go over there so head right into the next area.
Here go right, ignore the scaffolds and at the end jump up to the platforms on the right. Jump to the
top and the gate is closed. You'll need to double jump and quick step across to the left to find a lever.
Flip it to open up the gate. Cross back to the right and go through now to find a lever for the gate to the
left and a chest that has Topaz.
Go back left and double jump and quick step back left to find a chest with Rune Fragment.
And that's it for this area. Return to the "Cavern" signpost and go right to where the Blue Elementum
Pillar was. Go up the shaft and right into the next area. Follow the path here and at the shaft go down
it. At the bottom go left and you'll find a second Blue Elementum Pillar.
Open the chest behind it for Fisher's Earring Lv.2 and continue to reach a signpost and the area
called Fishing Spot. fish all you want in here and we're practically done with the Quarry for now. We'll
come back later though.
Now let's head on over to the Great Forest. Once here fast travel to the "Forest Cave". From here head
down the tunnels below the signpost and at the bottom you'll find the Pillar on the left. Break it and go
through to a brand new area.
Out here you'll find your typical enemies from the Great Forest, but they're higher level (around lv.20).
You will find a pair of Hellhounds you'll have to fight at the same time, but they're not that difficult
(especially after you've fought a pair of Snow Hellhounds).
Not much here to do to be honest, but as you head to the far left of the area you'll find a pair of chests,
one of them has Rune Fragment and the other one has Ice Rune Lv.1. Also note that the pot here has
2000 baqua. It ALWAYS drops 2000 baqua so it's a great place to farm some money, but there's a
better place also here in the Great Forest.
From here head right until you reach the signpost at the Hellhound Lake. Cross this room and head
right into the next one where we saw the bandit camp. We've already explored this area so there's not
much to say. Cross this entire area until you reach the Green Elementum Pillar.
Destroy it and proceed to the next area. The enemies in here are of much higher level (lv.27+) so be
careful. Cross this area and you'll reach an area with a Red Elementum Pillar on the bottom. We cannot
go that way so jump across it using the platform and you'll reach an area where you can continue right,
or you can go up the platforms to the left. Let's go right first.
Going right will take you to the final area of the Great Forest. Here you'll have to fight an Elite Shield
Lizardman with several Worms dropping down on you. Annoying fight, but not that bad. The good thing
here is that you can find a pair of chests to the right that contain Rune Fragment and Serendipity
Pendant Lv.3. The pot here drops a whopping 3000 baqua every time you break it. Yeah, you can farm
this place over and over. It shouldn't take you that long to be honest. Based on my recording, it took
me around 2 minutes and 10 seconds for a run, which isn't bad.
And with that, return to the fork from before and follow the platforms to go to the upper left side. This
leads to the area where we fought the Hollow Plant. We can finally open this gate and open the chest
for Rarity Pendant Lv.2.
Now go ahead and go down to the Fishing Spot so you can leave the Great Forest.
Now fast travel to the Farmside Menhir and go down to the Barrows. Use the signpost to go to "Grand
Hall".
From here head left first into the next area. Simply go left ignoring the shaft going up and head left into
the next area. You may remember this place. Halfway through this room you'll find a passage going
down. Head down there for a Green Elementum Pillar.
Destroy it and open the chest behind for Emerald. Now proceed right for a signpost. This is the Fishing
Spot and it's just like the one in both the Great Forest and the Quarry.
Use the signpost to head back to the "Grand Hall" and from here head right into the next area. Go up
through the tunnel we recently opened up, kill the Elite Shield Lizardman and past it is a vertical shaft.
Head down to the bottom to find another Green Elementum Pillar.
Destroy it and behind it you can find a chest with Rune Fragment and some Gold Ore. This is the first
time we've seen this! And lastly, let's go to Snowpeak. We've got one of these Green Elementum Pillars
here for us here.
Use the signposts here and head to Ascent. From here head right past all the enemies until you reach
the split. Follow the upper path and when you reach the gap, jump down and quick step to the right to
find your Elementum Pillar.
Destroy it and head through to find a single little room with several Azure Crystal deposits and a chest
with Rune Fragment.
And with that, we're ready to continue with the quest (finally!).
For now head back to the Barrows and fast travel to Blizzard's Point. Head to the far right, destroy the
Elementum Pillar and go through to find the Menhir. Again, we have a little puzzle here so the answer is
below. Remember to simply turn the selected one to complete it.
This will activate the Menhir and will take us to The Lava Ruins. Oh here we go, the fire zone of the
game!
Well, this is basically the Barrows in fire. I don't know how our characters aren't burning to death, but
trust me, I would. Anyway, head right into the next room and save your game at the signpost. Continue
going right to find a where a scene will play. It seems Snowpeak is actually a volcano.
Head right after the scene (the beam on fire doesn't hurt you) and you'll start seeing the fire enemies.
Just like before, they'll be basically the same enemies, but with fire element. First off is the Fire Blob.
These things basically have a fire breath attack that will inflict Burn on you, making you take damage
and preventing you from swapping characters. When defeated they leave behind a bomb so be careful.
You can hit it with Garoo to send it flying and hit other enemies. They also drop Red Slimejelly.
Past it is a Dandelion that drops Chili Peppers and a Magma Gargoyle that drops Fiery Wings. We'll be
using a lot of these so remember where they are! Head past this area and in the next one we won't
really have much going on besides enemies attacking you. There IS one very important thing here to
note, Fire Crystals. Breaking these will of course net you Crimson Crystals.
These are VERY important right now to create Fire Runes. It's the only one we're missing and we can
now break to the Red Elementum Pillars, of course this is only after creating the Fire Rune. Regardless,
make sure to break these whenever you see them.
Continue going through the room killing enemies and breaking these Crimson Crystals and in the next
room we'll reach a . Approach it to trigger a little scene. We've found another one of these devices,
but we need to find the correct Rune-Lens to activate it. Hmm. This of course will end the quest and
start the next one immediately. I'll see you all in the next one!
As we regain control, head right to find a signpost. Before we continue, there are some things to take
care of in town so leave this place and head back.
It seems Squash heard there's a phosphorescent treasure in the Barrows. Of course, being a bird, it
wants the shiny thing, huh? Fast travel to the fishing spot and head left. Go up the shaft and go right to
find the sparkle among a bunch of enemies.
Use earth attacks to take care of them and pick up the shiny. Leave the Barrows and return to Squash.
He'll thank you for the shiny and end the quest.
It seems she has a little monster as a pet. That cannot be good. It seems we're taking it back to
Snowpeak before anything bad happens. Head back down to the Barrows and use the signpost to go to
"Crest". As you get here you'll have the directly in front of you.
Once you've freed the monster, return to Asmee to end the quest.
A Wandering Wife
Find Anna
It seems Jarno can't find his wife and needs our help. We can help out with that. Head on over to the
Pasturage and you'll be able to find Anna right in front of you.
After talking to her, return to Jarno to end the quest. Nice! Short and simple.
No More Bets
It seems Keke lost everything in a bet. Didn't we just help him during the pawnshop's quest? Oh well,
whatever. He wants us to find him some Gold Ore. The quest asks for the one in the Quarry, but it can
be any to be honest.
Since we got this quest after we arrived at the Lava Ruins, note that you can find Gold Ore there all
over the place. The reason I say this is because in the Quarry there's only one room that has Gold Ore,
and it's behind the Red Elementum Pillar. We CAN get the Fire Rune right now if you want to go there.
If you want to know where the Red Elementum Pillar in the Quarry is, fast travel to the fishing spot
inside, head to the room to the right, go up a couple wooden platforms and start following the scaffolds
right to find it. You can find some Gold Ore deposits behind.
Once you have the Gold Ore, return to Keke and give it to him to end the quest.
Head left and use the Menhir to go down into the Barrows. Use the signpost to fast travel to the "Snow
Wolf's Edge" signpost and you'll immediately see the as you go right.
Place the trap and return to the farm to get the Snow Wolf. Talk to Takuma afterwards to end the
quest. He wasn't very happy haha.
While you do these, make absolutely sure to go to Ilda's Rune Shop and synthesize a Fire Rune. This
will help us destroy all the red Elementum Pillars, which are the only ones we're missing. While you're
here, make sure to also synthesize the Ice Rune Lv.2. Since we'll be going into the Lava Ruins, having
Ice attacks will help us out big time.
World Exploration
And with that, time to go explore again. This time it'll be much shorter since there's only one red
Elementum Pillar in each area. Let's start by going to the Great Forest.
Once here, fast travel to the fishing spot, exit the area and head right past the gate into the next area.
Once here, drop down and go left. Kill the Shield Lizardman and drop down up ahead to find the pillar
on the right.
Destroy it, kill the Elite Shield Lizardman behind it and near the end you'll have to fight a pair of
Hellhounds, lv.34 Hellhounds. They can be a bit tricky to handle since one is enough to piss you off, but
make good use of CJ's quick step to stay safe.
After the fight head right to find a pair of chests containing Rune Fragment and Fire Rune Lv.1. There
are also some sparkles on the ground give you a Hardwood Lumber and a Durable Stone, and a pot
that gives you 4000 baqua. Awesome!
That's it for the Great Forest. Leave the place and fast travel to the Quarry this time.
Once here fast travel to the fishing spot and head right to the larger area. Kill the Shield Lizardman and
go up the vertical shaft a bit when you reach it using the wooden platforms. You'll see there's a
scaffold going right as you go up. Follow this path to find the pillar you need to destroy.
In the next area you'll find a Gold Ore deposit and a chest with Healing Potion Lv.4. Past this you'll
have to fight an Elite Shield Lizardman. He is not alone though because several other Lizardmen come
as well. I saw 2 more Shield Lizardman and 2 Greatsword Lizardmen. They are still fairly easy to deal
with, which is nice. Just be careful of the Elite's charge attack.
Anyway, past them is a chest with Earth Rune Lv.3, a pot with 3000 baqua and an Topaz. Nice finds!
That's it for the Quarry. Leave the place and head on over to the Runebaarrows.
Once here, fast travel to "Crest". As you cross this large area, make sure to follow the upper path when
you reach the split (where you see the 2 little Chinchilla enemies) and enter the next area. Remember
this part where we had to double jump, quick step and sometimes even hover across? Yeah, go across
this area once more and you'll find the Red Elementum Pillar to the far right.
Destroy it and head through.
Over here you'll have to fight a Snow Hellhound. Nothing too bad, but as you fight notice the chest
above us. We'll get it in a bit. Once the fight is over, grab the Gold Ore deposit from the right, jump to
the platform above and have Isha break the ice wall to the right. This allows you to get a Sapphire,
which is nice.
Return to the platform, break the pot for 4000 baqua and jump across to the left to find the chest from
before. This one has a very powerful Ice Rune Lv.3.
Head back to town, heal up at Sarita's tavern, upgrade your armor if you didn't do so before, and make
sure to go to Joerg's Lens-Forge at The Rune Quarter to level up CJ's Rune-Lens to Lv.3. This will allow
her to equip the Ice Rune Lv.3 we just got. That'll help her deal even more damage to the enemies in
the Lava Ruins.
Once you're ready, return to the Barrows and fast travel to the Ancient Workshop.
Once back in the oven, head right into the larger area where you'll have a chest immediately
with Healing Potion Lv.4.
Continue right and you'll have some mushrooms you can harvest called Blistercap. Remember that you
can find these in this area because you'll obviously be needing some of them for later use.
Continue going right killing enemies and you'll reach a shaft. You can find a Crimson Crystal at the
bottom with a Fire Worm. Instead, go directly right across the shaft and you'll find a Fire Yeti. These
guys act mostly the same, but they love to toss magma rocks at you that explode upon contact and
create a fire pillar. You can have Garoo hit these back and I suggest you do.
Once you've defeated the enemy, head to the far right to find your reward, a pair of chests
containing Mithril and Fire Rune Lv.3, a pot with 5000 baqua, and a Ruby. Quite the haul.
Return to the shaft and go up now, taking the upper left exit for now. Here we'll have a new enemy,
the Pyro Mage. These guys are basically the fire version of the mages and as such, Isha is the one to
use to break their bubbles.
After you kill the mage STOP. Head left carefully and you'll see a box. DO NOT DESTROY IT. If you
destroy it you'll have to leave the area completely and come back.
Use this box to reach the upper right platform and follow this upper passage to the left to find a chest
with Mithril.
From here though, double jump/quick step/hover to the left to find yet another chest, this one
with Rune Fragment.
The level below this has a Gold Ore deposit so grab that, and the one on the ground as well. Return to
the previous room now and follow the upper right path into the next area.
Here use the signpost to save your game, then head right to reach a where we'll have a scene
with Mellore, who's acting like a brat AGAIN. I don't like her at all.
Anyway, watch the scenes that play out and we'll have to fight an Engulfed Elite Shield Lizardman right
after. Go ahead and take it out to have the scenes continue and the quest will come to an end right
after. See you in the next one!
Well, it seems have to go after this brat that ran off. I hope she doesn't get into any trouble. Head back
left and you'll see that a tunnel opened up next to the signpost. Head through.
This tunnel is short and filled with enemies and Crimson Crystals. Go through it and exit on the other
side to find another signpost. This is basically the side where Mellore and the others were. Good to
know. Save you game (to the left and right are dead ends) and go up the platforms. You'll want to make
your way across the gap and to the right.
As you go you'll see a Red Elementum Pillar under you. Break it and open the chest behind it
for Mithril.
Follow the upper platforms going right now, open the chest with Healing Potion Lv.4 when you get to
it, place a trap up ahead and exit through the right side.
It seems we're outside now. There's nothing but enemies out here, namely Fire Yetis and Pyro Mages.
Have fun killing them all and proceed to the next area. We have a signpost here so go ahead and save
your game and prepare yourself. When ready, open the chest nearby for Healing Potion Lv.4 and head
right to the to trigger a series of scenes, and right after a boss fight!
Mantor Wyrm
Well, welcome to what's probably the easiest boss thus far. It's probably on par with the Hollow Plant
from the very beginning of the game... and I'm not even joking around.
The boss is always on the right side and doesn't really move from there, or extend its body all that
much, meaning that you can sit back to the far left and simply shoot at it with Isha's ice attacks until it
dies, only having to avoid one attack.
Of course we don't want to fight like that (but if you want by all means, be my guest). Let me go over
his attacks real quick.
First off is his melee attack. When you're close to him he'll create a little wind draft around his face
and charge forward. This hits probably half the platform. You can easily avoid this by charge jumping
with Garoo, or attacking with Isha and starting a Link attack before it charges to lift you up in the air.
Next is his rock puke. He erects himself up towards the sky and you can see something crawling
through his body towards his mouth. He then spits out a large rock at you.
This rock explodes upon contact (either with you or the floor) and hits real hard, but the good thing is
that Garoo can hit it back. This is what you want to do every time because it stuns the boss and
knocks it to the ground, allowing you to hit it a whole bunch.
Lastly, for his final attack, his meteor attack. He jumps back into the lava and shoots out several
rocks. These fall down on the platform you're standing on, but it's random. You can see the trajectory
they take thanks to the red lights (just like the previous 2 bosses had as well) and these have a little
explosion upon contact. You can easily avoid these by simply staying away from the red lines that
appear. When he comes out more rocks will jump out as well so be expecting those.
As you can see, very easy boss, and very predictable. The one thing it has is that once his HP reaches
40% or so he'll dive into the lava and come out attacking a bit faster. Doesn't really change the fight
much, but it's worth mentioning.
After the fight we'll get Giant Lava Rock and a Rune Fragment which is great. We'll also have several
scenes with Mellore who actually gives us the Rune-Lens, so it's all good. Eventually the volcano will
erupt and we'll get out of here.
Back in town, watch the scenes as we think about making the town into a hot springs town... that
came out of nowhere! The scenes are lengthy here so enjoy them and the quest will come to an end.
Now that we're back we can do some sidequesting, my favorite. Do note that, if it wasn't obvious, the
Lava Ruins will be unavailable for the moment.
Let's continue with the story for a bit, then we can focus on sidequests. Head to Outlander Lane and
speak to Rajiv outside the Inn. He'll ask for materials to upgraded the Inn, which of course makes him
very happy. Here we're also told about Lv.3 Tools... which we've had for probably the last 4 hours or so,
but it's still good to know nonetheless.
We need to find some Durable Stone. At this point you probably already have some. Well, he only wants
one and you can even get it from Hogan at Second Street. You can find Durable Stone at the Great
Forest by mining the stone deposits. For this, of course, you'll need a Lv.3 pickaxe so make sure to
have that.
Once you do have it, return to Rajiv and give it to him. After a little scene, the quest will come to an
end.
Report to Shiva
With the hot springs up and running, we need to return to Shiva. Of course, before we talk to him go
check out the bulletin board. Yeah, there's a plethora of sidequests here, even more than before.
Iugo is Missing
it seems Bertrand has Iugo's sword and it's been ready for a while, but he hasn't picked it up. I wonder
why? Fast travel to the Outskirts and you'll be able to find Iugo to the far right.
He'll go to Bertrand right away, so go ahead and head back to Bertrand and let him know you found
him. This ends the quest.
It seems we can make some good potions with ice chunks from Snowpeak. Hmm, I wonder. Head to
the Barrows and fast travel to "Yeti's Crossing". From here head left into the next area and move along
until you reach the gap. From here jump down the gap and quick step to the right. This is where the
Green Elementum Pillar was.
Head into the next area where you'll be able to find the Ice Chunk for Robert.
Return to Robert back in town and hand him over the Ice Chunk to end the quest.
The man wants us to catch something "big" in the barrows, and by that he means a fish. Head down to
the Barrows and use the signpost to fast travel to the fishing spot. Once here simply head right and
start fishing.
The first fish you'll get is the one you need, so head back to Felipe once you have it and the quest will
come to an end. Easy!
A Pawnbroker's Mistake
It seems Rene misjudged a vase he just purchased off a woman and it was worth 10 times more than
what he paid. He'll give you the money and ask you to track her down.
Who's someone fancy-looking? Head to Sarita's tavern in Outlander Lane and you'll find said person
outside.
Yeah, none other than Jeanne. After a little talk with her return to Rene to end the quest.
Elemental Research
This one is actually extremely simple. Ilda wants us to find for her 8 Purple Slimejelly. If you didn't
know, you get these from killing the Electric Blobs down in the Barrows. They drop this item as you kill
them (random drop), but the drop rate is pretty high so you'll be able to get them pretty fast (if you
don't have them already that is).
Once you have them simply return to Ilda and give them to her to end the quest.
As per usual, Ayus wants to expand his farm yet again, and this time he wants us to find some seeds
from Snowpeak. Easy enough. Head to the Barrows and fast travel to "Ascent".
Here head right and you'll find several Ice Flowers with a above their head. Killing these will net
you an "Additional Seed".
There are 10 of these Ice Flowers throughout the area so go through it and kill all 5. Once you have,
use a signpost to leave the place and speak to Ayus once again to end the quest.
Old lady Hema hurt her back and needs some Medicinal Herbs. We can find those real fast.
Fast travel to the Great Forest and enter the first area. You'll find some blobs walking around with
a over their head.
There are 5 of these blobs around here that have the mark. Killing each one will net you a
Medicinal Herb. Once you have them all return to Hema and give them to her to end the quest.
It seems several people are complaining so it's up to Isha to go figure out what's up, you know,
because she's the acting mayor. Head on over to the Residential District and here you need to speak to
several people. Note that there will only be one NPC at a time.
First is Ganesh to the left. Speak to him, then head right and talk to Aradhya outside your house, and
lastly head back left and speak to Kimaya. Once you've spoken to all 3, head back to Adah and let her
know what's happening. This will bring the quest to an end.
It seems Anna has lost her kid. Oh no. Head to Farm and go left to find little Bruno near the bridge.
Talk to him and let him know about his mom looking for her. Go report back to Anna right after to end
the quest.
Where is My Mentor
Find Emerson
I had no idea there were adventurers in training, and neither did CJ. BUT it seems like she's being
scammed. Oh I feel bad for her. This guy is located at the farm. Fast travel over there and you'll be able
to find him to the far left past the bridge.
He'll be kind of an ass, but he'll leave her alone at least. Return to Julietta and let her know what's up.
The quest will end as you do so.
After you give him the money, return to Bianca and the quest will end.
You should have some at this point, but if you don't then you can find these in Snowpeak. The one spot
that comes to mind is near the start of Snowpeak. Fast travel to Snowpeak - Ascent and head all the
way right. At the split in the path follow the bottom path through the tunnel into the next area. Here
head to the bottom and enter the bottom left room, which is where we fought our first Yeti enemy. Past
the enemy you can find a Lapis Lazuli.
Once you have it return to Frank and give it to him to end the quest.
This is similar to the hunters that ask us to catch those pesky Hellhounds, and the miners. This time,
however, she wants us to catch the same Legendary Salmon she just caught. She tossed it back into
the water after fishing it out and now we're going to go look for it.
For this simply head to the Quarry and fast travel to the fishing spot. Head left and start fishing. The
first fish that'll bite is the Legendary Fish.
Once you've caught it, return to Katri and show it to her. She won't be pleased, but the quest will end
right there.
It seems Roland is looking for Iugo so he can look out after the old people. That's easy. Fast travel to
the Outskirts and you'll be able to find Iugo to the far right near the Great Forest entrance.
It seems this old man also wants to challenge us about our mining skills. We can do that!
We've never actually found a Large Gold Nugget so this will be found. Again, this is one of those quests
where it doesn't appear on your map so you have to find it. That's why I'm here for you.
Enter the Quarry and follow the upper path until you reach the third area.
As you enter this room and go right you'll reach a shaft going down. Don't go down it. Instead jump to
the upper right platform and you'll find the deposit up there.
Once you mine it, leave the Quarry and speak to Yash. Show him the Gold Ore to end the quest.
My Lady's Laundry
Once again, we have a quest about Isha's dirty clothes haha. Well, head to the Plaza and speak to Adah
near the bulletin board.
She'll give you Isha's dirty clothes. Head back to Saanvi and give her Isha's garments to end the
quest... poor Isha haha.
Finding Dad
Find Jarno
Well, this is a continuation to this family's problems. It seems they're always getting lost haha. Well,
this time we're helping out the little kid.
You can find Jarno, the dad, at the Plaza near the bulletin board.
Talk to him then head back to little Bruno to end the quest.
Once you're done with all the quests, head to the Plaza and speak to Shiva, who's at his usual place in
front of the broken clock tower (when are they going to fix it?). You'll let him and the other old people
know that the hot springs are up and running and now we've got to think about a souvenir for the town.
Hmm. Squash suggests black eggs...?
Fast travel to the Pasturage and speak to Urmila at the far left side of the area. Tell her about the idea
of getting a chicken coop built (or a poultry farm as Isha called it). After a bit of chatter, she'll agree
but we'll need to bring what's needed for it. Sounds good.
Ok, so the first thing is Lumber. We've probably gotten like 1000 pieces of lumber at this point and you
MUST know where to get it (cough Great Forest cough). We only need 3 so it's not a big deal.
Secondly are the Thunderbird Eggs. At first I thought it was going to be from the Lightning Gargoyles
from the Runebaarrows, but nope, they're near the top of Snowpeak. For this fast travel into the
Barrows and use the signpost to go to "Blizzard's Point".
Once up here simply go left into the next area and you'll find several sparkles on the ground. Picking
one of these up will net you a "Thunderbird Egg". I don't know if the amount you get here are random (I
got 6), but I had to go through this area twice picking up these sparkles to get the necessary amount
of Thunderbird Eggs.
Leave the area completely (until you reach the town) and come back to Blizzard's Summit to do your
second run. Once you have all 10 eggs, return to Urmila at the Pasturage and she'll thank you for it by
building the chicken coop.
Now fast travel to Outlander Lane and head all the way right and speak to Rajiv outside the Inn. Tell
him that everything's ready to go and he'll cook the eggs. He says it'll take him 2 days so the party
leaves and comes back in 2 days.
Here we get to name the eggs. I kept the default name (Shiny Black Eggs) but you may change it to
your liking. I don't know if this change will appear in the main game once it comes out, but it'd be a
nice touch.
Have the elders in the Plaza taste test the new delicacy
Once you have the eggs cooked, return to the plaza and speak to Shiva. Watch the lengthy scene here
that plays out and the quest will come to an end. Nice!
We can finally head back into the Lava Ruins. Of course, before we do, let's take care of some
sidequests.
Armor of Display
Frida finally wants to expand, but she'll need some Hardwood. This is the highest grade of lumber you
can get, and of course you can get this in the Great Forest. Note that you get this from the trees just
like regular lumber, but you need a Lv.3 axe in order for it to drop. It also has a low drop rate so you
may need to go through the Great Forest a couple of times.
On the other hand, if you don't want to farm for it, you can trade over at Hogan's shop at Second
Street. You need 3 Lightweight Lumber for 1 Hardwood. It's not that bad of a deal so up to you.
Once you have all 3, return to Frida and give them to her. She'll thank you and end the quest.
The Worst Medicine
Reward: Stamp, 1500 EXP, Healing Potion Lv.5
It seems Robert gave someone the wrong potion, giving them an ATK potion instead of a DEF. Well,
let's go find him. Robert tells us he was wearing green... not much to follow.
Fast travel to the outskirts and head to the far right to find a person dressed in green.
Once you've given him the correct potion, return to Robert to end the quest.
The Search for Ancient Texts
Ilda asks us to go get her a Stone Slab from the Barrows. We can do that very easily. Fast travel to the
Farmside Menhir, go down into the Barrows and use the signpost to go to the Grand Hall. From here to
left into the next room, go up the shaft and go through the upper left exit.
Once here, as you go left you'll reach the hole in the ground that has the Bipedal Golem. This time,
however, we'll have a second Bipedal Golem, but this one much higher level.
This guy hits REALLY hard so be extra careful. Remember that it can jump and slam the ground,
creating shockwaves that hit almost all the ground. I suggest you initiate link attacks with Isha from a
distance to stay safe, and kill the lower leveled one first as well.
After the fight we'll get the Stone Slab from it. With it return to Ilda and give it to her to end the quest.
Researching Isha
Reward: Stamp, 1250 EXP, 2000 baqua
Oh god we're back with Joerg. What does he want from Isha this time? We already gave him her
clothes. He wants to know about Isha's first... time... oh god. Don't worry, he was talking about Isha's
first time using magic. Well, head to the Plaza and speak to Adah near the bulletin board. She tells you
she doesn't have anything but we could go check up on Isha's housekeeper.
For this head to the Residential District Interior and to the far left you'll find Saanvi.
Talk to her for a little scene and afterwards, head back to Joerg to end the quest.
Once again, Urmila is going to expand the place and needs some High-Purity Ore in order to do so. This
can be found at the Quarry, from any of the Iron Ore deposits.
Note that for this you'll need a Lv.3 Pickaxe in order to get it, but the drop rate is rather low. You can
also go to Hogan and exchange for it with him. Pretty straightforward.
Once you have it, come back to Urmila and give her the ore to end the quest.
After completiong all these sidequests, we can max out our armor and your weapons. It costs a
whopping 10000 baqua so you may not be able to do it all right now. Also note that you'll be able to
increase Garoo's and Isha's Rune-Lens to Lv.3 so you can equip lv.3 runes. Neat! Personally I leveled
up all Rune-Lenses to lv.3 and also fully maxed out the Weapons from Bertrand's shop. A good 45000
baqua right there.
Once you're ready, however, fast travel to the Farmside Menhir and head down into the Barrows.
Before we head to the Lava Ruins, open your map and you spot that room we haven't checked to the
far right? That's the last room in the Runebarrows!
Use the signpost to go to "Grand Hall", head right into the next room and here go through the tunnel
we opened up. In this next room go directly across to find the Red Elementum Pillar.
Behind you'll find 3 Bipedal Golems. These guys hit REALLY hard so be extra careful. Remember that
they can jump and slam the ground, creating shockwaves that hit almost all the ground. I suggest you
initiate link attacks with Isha from a distance to stay safe.
After the fight, head right and up the ledges to reach several Viridian crystals. From here double
jump/quick step to the left, then go up and do the same to go right to find a chest with Lightning Rune
Lv.3 and a pot that has a whopping 4000 baqua.
From here return to any signpost and use it to fast travel to the very top of Snowpeak, Blizzard's Point.
Once here go right to the to trigger a little scene and right after go right to the Menhir. We're back
in the Lava Ruins! Make sure to equip any Ice Runes to your attack and Fire Runes to your defense.
As you go right a scene will play in the next room. Once it's over, use the signpost up ahead to fast
travel to "Lava Reservoir" and up here head right and into the next area where the Menhir in the
background is.
Of course, as its the case with every Menhir, we'll need to unlock it. Follow the image below if you
need help, just rotate the highlighted one to complete it.
Go through to reach a new section of the Runebarrows. A scene will play as we enter and it seems
these are actually still active. You can tell by the insanely bright blue hue!
Once we regain control, head right into the next room and note that all the enemies in here are the
exact same as the first part of the Runebarrows, all electric types. They are of course higher level, but
their attacks don't change.
The only thing new here are the Barrier Bugs. These things are on the ground or ceiling and spit out a
line of electricity preventing you from crossing. This, although not dangerous, can be quite annoying. It
does hurt if you touch it so you'll want to get rid of them ASAP.
Make your way through this room and when you reach a staircase, stop in the middle where the trap
placement icon is. From here you'll want to double jump/quick step to the left towards the platform.
From here use Isha to get rid of the Barrier Bugs up ahead and open the chest at the end
for Orichalcum.
Head right now and enter the next area to find yet another chest right in front of us, this one ALSO with
an Orichalcum.
Approach the afterwards to trigger a little scene where we get to use the Rune-Lens Mellore gave
us. Is this how Rune-Lenses are made? From living beings? I was NOT expecting that! Somehow it
didn't bother CJ at all.
After the scene, continue right and into the next room. Here we'll have to fight a Bipedal Golem, and a
regular Rune Golem. These guys are super annoying. Not hard, just annoying. Take care of them, kill
the Barrier Bug to the right and open up the chest to find Orichalcum.
That's the third one! Up ahead we'll have a boss fight... nah, not really. It's a fun fight since we'll have
to fight several enemies in a row, in several waves. These waves have one of each element, which is
super fun seeing all the attacks going out at the same time and not knowing what's happening. First off
we have the blobs, five of them!
Right after you kill them comes the swarm of Gargoyles. Right after them we have the "tough" wave, a
pair of Yetis (regular and fire one) and a pair of Lizardmen. Afterwards, we've got a fight against 3
mages. The good thing is that you can break their bubbles with Isha regardless of the element your
attacks are so there's no real need to change them.
After the fight, head right to the to trigger a scene and right after open the chest here to
find Rune Fragment.
The quest will end here and we'll start the next one.
Remember the device in the Lava Ruins we couldn't activate before? Well, now we can. Since we don't
have a signpost in here you'll have to manually leave the place back to the Lava Ruins.
Once back in the oven, use the signpost to fast travel to the Ancient Workshop. Once here go left to
the to trigger a series of scenes where we see the sorcerer being stopped by a man with azure
hair, just like Isha's. What could this mean?
Once the scenes are over, so too will the quest. this is the shortest quest in the game. On to the next
one!
To the Rescue
Reward: Stamp, 5000 EXP
Go ahead and leave the Barrows and head back to town. Head to Outlander Lane and approach the
tavern to trigger another series of scenes. More character development for Isha, I like this!
During the scenes, a rookie adventurer will approach begging for help. It seems he and his companion
were attacked by something down in the Barrows. This cannot be good!
Fast travel to the Farmside Menhir and head down to the Barrows. Oddly enough we don't even have to
use the signpost. Instead simply head left across the long room filled with electric enemies and as you
enter the next one you'll see this other adventurer being attacked by a Rune Golem. These things are
nasty! No wonder they were having trouble!
We just destroyed one of these alongside a Bipedal Golem so this one by itself isn't a problem. Watch
the scenes after the fight and the adventurer will tell us that it was an odd looking man dancing who
summoned this thing. Isha's dad? No shot! We even found his diary here on the ground. Whelp, there's
no doubt about it then.
We'll head back to town in order to get the adventurer to safety. As we do we decide to read the diary,
but in the next quest because this one's over! I'll see you in the next one!
Now that we have a bit more freedom, approach the bulletin board. There shouldn't be that man... 17
sidequests? Whelp, here we go!
This is a continuation of the previous quest with Rene. He wants us to take some money to Jeanne, the
one for the pot. Sure thing.
Head to Outlander's Lane and speak to Jeanne who's outside the tavern on the far left.
Let her know about Rene and she'll want to go meet with him. Nice! Return to Rene and let him know
she's coming. He'll be extremely nervous but the quest will come to an end.
It seems they spotted another one of Hogan's chests, this one in the Barrows. Let's help him get it
back!
Fast travel to the Farmside Menhir and head into the Barrows. As you enter go left, cross the room and
in the next one you'll find some Bandits that weren't here before.
Take care of them (4 will appear after you defeat the first 2 so be careful) and head left after the fight
to find the chest. Open it up and return to Hogan. Give him his stuff to bring this quest to an end.
Jashan wants some Small Pelts for his stowpacks. We've got plenty of those, at least I do. Small Pelts
are dropped by the Chinchilla-looking enemies from Snowpeak (the little dog enemies). Killing them
will drop Small Pelts. They usually appear from the second are of Snowpeak (Crest) onwards so look
for them there.
Once you have all 10, return to Jashan and give them to him to end the quest.
Mellore's Reputation
Reward: 1250 EXP, Lapis Lazuli
It seems people are talking about Mellore and her actions so far. I don't blame her. Let's go see what
people thing. Fast travel to the Plaza and you'll have to speak to several people. Starting with Corrin
and Rosalie to the right. After talking to them, head left and speak to Priya.
After Priya, return to Mellore and tell her what they think to end the quest.
Iugo needs to practice, and he heard that a "Giant Hunk of Ice" would be great. We'll get him one
ASAP.
Do you remember where we get these hunks of ice? Yeah, it's dropped by the boss from Snowpeak,
Blizzard Brothers. Head to the Barrows, fast travel to "Blizzard's Point" and head right to face the boss
again. I'll leave the strategy below if you need it, but it's the same exact fight.
Blizzard Brothers
It's not overly complex, but the freezing and minions can be very
annoying. Once you've defeated it and picked up the "Giant Hunk of Ice" it drops, return to town and go
give it to Iugo. He'll thank you and end the quest.
Poor Alisha is looking for her kid, Avan. Yeah, that little brat. Head to the Plaza and you'll be able to
find him on the right side.
After talking to him, return to Alisha and let her know you've given Avan the message. She'll thank you
and end the quest.
She wants some plums to give to Iugo. Hmm. There's nothing between him and CJ haha.
Fast travel to the Great Forest and fast travel to the cave. Exit via the upper right exit and out here
you'll find some bandits.
Defeating these bandits will net you a Salted Plum each. Once you have all 3, return to Tarai and give
them to her to end the quest.
Lukas is one of those adventurers that were with Mellore at Snowpeak when everything went downhill.
Yeah, one of those who left her behind. He wants to apologize to Mellore but doesn't know if she'll
want to talk to him. One way to find out.
Head right into The Rune Quarter and speak to Mellore who's at the far right side.
After you do, simply return to Lukas and let him know Mellore's answer to end the quest.
Starling is one of those adventurers that were with Mellore at Snowpeak when everything went
downhill. Yeah, one of those who left her behind. He wants to apologize to Mellore and wants to take
her something. Garoo suggests a cake. Sounds like a plan!
Head to Outlander Lane and speak to Sarita outside her tavern. Ask her for a Chocolate Cake and she'll
give you one. Once you have it, return to Starling and give it to him to end the quest.
He'll give you one of the black eggs. Take it to Enzo to end the quest.
Ore Galore
Reward: Stamp, 1250 EXP
Michele wants some High-Purity Ore for his master, Enzo. This can be found at the Quarry, from any of
the Iron Ore deposits.
Note that for this you'll need a Lv.3 Pickaxe in order to get it, but the drop rate is rather low. You can
also go to Hogan and exchange for it with him. Pretty straightforward.
Once you have it, return to Michele and give it to him to end the quest.
Dino wants to play but we're too busy to play with him (yeah, no kidding with all these sidequests,
huh? haha). Let's go find someone who'll want to play with him. Head into the Plaza and speak to Priya
near the bulletin board. She'll immediately say no because he was being an ass to little Yum-yum. Oh
well. Head to the right now and speak to Avan. He won't want to play either. Dang it.
Head left to the farm now and speak to Bruno, who's near the bridge.
He'll say yes in playing with Dino. Thank god. Return to Dino and let him know to end the quest.
It seems the old people in town are being kinda rude to people coming in. We're going to have to have
a talk with them. Of course, we'll start by talking to Shiva, who's just to the right in front of his clock
tower.
After talking to him, head to Residential District Interior and speak to Shanaya near the entrance.
Afterwards fast travel to the Outskirts and speak to Ranbir out here.
Once you're done, return to Isabella and let her know you've talked to them. The quest will end right
here.
Have You Seen a Hammer
Reward: Stamp, 1250 EXP
The man wants a special hammer from the Burrows. Time to head back down there! Fast travel to the
Farmside Menhir and head down there. Once here use the signpost to go to the "Grand Hall" and from
here go right into the next area, then follow the tunnel up to go to the next one.
Here get past the Elite Shield Lizardman just to find a second one behind him. This is our target.
Kill him to receive the hammer we're looking for. Return to town and give Jackie the hammer to end
the quest.
The Extra-Large Salmon Challenge
Reward: Stamp, 1250 EXP
Another one of those fishing challenges. We need to go to the Barrows and catch the fish. Head left
and use the Menhir to go down into the Barrows, then use the signpost to go to the fishing spot.
Once here simply head right and you'll see the at the little pier.
Go ahead and fish here. The first fish you catch will be the one for this quest. Once you have it return
to Jill at the farm to end the quest.
The Large Catfish Challenge
Reward: Stamp, 1250 EXP
Another one of those fishing challenges. We need to go to the Barrows and catch the fish. Head left
and use the Menhir to go down into the Barrows, then use the signpost to go to the fishing spot.
Once here simply head right and you'll see the at the little pier.
Go ahead and fish here. The first fish you catch will be the one for this quest. Once you have it return
to Ming Ming at the farm to end the quest.
If Only I Had Some Older Friends
Reward: Stamp, 1000 EXP
Charlie wants some friends that are at least somewhat mature. Hmm. Who could we ask? There's
honestly only one person I could think of.
Head to The Rune Quarter and head to the far right to find Mellore.
Talk to her and tell her about Charlie. Afterwards, simply head back to Charlie and let him know what's
up to end the quest.
A Sister's Cooking
Reward: Stamp, 1000 EXP
She wants some food for her picky sister. We'll get her something. Head to Outlander Lane and speak
to Sarita. Ask her for a folded omelet and she'll give you one. Now simply return to Larwle and give her
the omelet to end the quest... yeah, that's it!
It seems Larwle has gone to the Forest and her sister is worried. We'll go see if we can find her. Fast
travel to the Great Forest and use the signpost to fast travel to the cave. From here go down the
tunnels and at the bottom left you'll find another elf that's not Larwle. Hmm.
Speak to this man named "Krenowel" and after a little chat, leave the Great Forest and return to Erwle
to end the quest.
Poor little north is looking for his papa. He lost him. Who could his dad be? Start by heading to
Outlander Lane and speaking to Gocteau outside the tavern. Ask him about the dad and he won't know.
Continue to the right and speak to Olivier who's outside the Inn.
Head to the Outskirts now and you'll find Siu-tien near the entrance to the Forest.
Speak to him and let him know about little North. Go tell North his dad is coming in a bit and the quest
will come to an end.
Once the sidequests are done, head on over to the Residential District and go to CJ's home to trigger a
series of scenes where a LOT of explained, but many more questions come up. I feel so bad for Isha
right now man.
Go talk to Shiva who's in front of his clock to have the lengthy scenes continue. He explains a lot
about Isha and about a certain "blessing". Man, the story went from 0 to 60 in a couple quests! But at
least now we have an objective!
Let's go ask Tatara to repair the gear. We don't have time to go to any other place to get it fixed (or get
a new one for that matter). Head to Outlander Lane and speak to Tatara. Let him know what we want
to do. Head back to the Plaza to have the scenes continue where we go inside the Clock Tower.
This place is much bigger than it looks from the outside. Also, it seems Tatara can't really help
because he doesn't do casting... yeah, casting is something completely different than what he does. He
WILL, however, give it a try regardless but he'll need some stuff. He asks for either Star Tears called
Astralacrim or the piece that the cog is missing. Hmm. We haven't found the former at all so who
knows if it even exists nearby.
Well, that only leaves us with one choice: let's go look for the piece that's missing.
As we exit the tower, we ask the man out here if he knows anything. He doesn't but maybe Awamuri
might... who's that? Head to Sarita's tavern and ask her about him. It seems she doesn't know where
he is but we could ask his wife Preta. That we can do!
Fast travel to the Residential District Interior and speak to Preta here. She's very pissed because he's
most likely drunk somewhere. Oof that can't be good. Where could he be? Well, what's the place
furthest away from here? Yep, The Rune Quarter. Head over there and check the far right side of the
place. You'll see a above the barrel and crate.
As you approach them a scene will play. Yeah, he's here and drunk. He does tell us about someone
that might have it, and that someone is none other than Squash. Head to Second Street and talk to
him. And yes, he does have it and gives it to us for free as well. Head back to Outlander Lane and give
it to Tatara so he can start casting the cog.
After a couple of days have passed, we'll return with a new cog.
Tell Shiva the repairs are complete in the Plaza
Return to the Plaza and speak to Shiva. Watch the scenes that play out here and we'll get our stamp
and EXP.
NOTE: Oddly enough, the quest won't end just yet. The reason for this is because this is the "point of
no return", meaning that once we go through the Menhir we won't be able to come back until we finish
the game. Don't worry, you'll be in there a max of 30 minutes so it's no big deal.
Once you finish the game, you'll start back at this point in case you want to go back in and finish the
game again. So there's no reason for you to worry about maxing your weapons and/or armor unless you
REALLY want to. I haven't touched my equipment since the last time I mentioned it and I still feel like
I'm overpowered.
Nevertheless, whatever you decide to do, once you're ready to proceed let Shiva know you're ready
and watch the scenes as we go inside the Clock Tower and head to the final area and the next quest
starts. I'll see you all in the next one.
Once we've regain control, head right into the next room to have the scenes continue to play out. We
see a hologram of Isha's dad... but she knows it's not him. It's the evil sorcerer who's controlling his
body. That's sickening.
After the scenes, head right into the next area and start crossing the bridge here to have yet more
scenes play out. Remember those guys from the Empire mentioned in Isha's dad's journal? Yeah, it's
the. It seems they're not only bandits but also part of the Empire. Damn. Watch here as we also get a
ton of character development for Garoo and we know who he really is now.
Once all these scenes are over, we'll be left with a boss fight!
Hurstwine
We're to fight Hurstwine, our first and only human boss. Despite him looking so imposing, he's a
complete pushover. He has a handful of attacks that are quick, but thanks to him glowing every time
he attacks, it's pretty easy to predict and evade them.
Let's start out, as per usual, with his attacks. To begin with, he starts with 3 regular bandits. These are
Lv.31 but aren't really that hard. You can start the fight with having Isha attack and follow this with a
Link Attack to kill them all in one go while you also hurt Hurstwine quite a bit.
Of course, Hurstwine will continue to summon these bandits so be ready for them. I recommend you
pay no attention to them and rather, try grouping them together and killing them all with Link Attacks.
Another attack he has is when he jumps in the air and throws several daggers at you. These fan out so
they cover quite a bit of ground, but if you're close to him you can easily quick step closer to him to
completely avoid the attack.
Now, for close quarter attacks, he has 3: he swings his curved sword from top to bottom. Not to bad of
a range, but you can quick step through it. The other attack, he spins what looks like a dagger in front
of him. This has very short range but can hit several times. He sometimes throws the dagger in front of
him towards the ground.
For his third attack, he dashes towards you and performs a horizontal slash. This is a quick one and I
recommend you dash backwards to avoid any damage.
He has another attack in which he swings his sword upwards and has several spots in front of him
explode. You have to be quick on this one because it's fast. You can quick step through these
explosions, but you'll need to be precise with it.
That's all he does. Looks like a lot, but it's really not. The cool thing is that he can and will dash a lot.
It's pretty similar to CJ's quick step. Fully recommend you stick to him and go all out, performing your
Link Attacks whenever he they're available.
Watch the scenes with Garoo and the party after the fight (VERY WHOLESOME) and right after, the
quest will come to an end. See you in the next one, which is the last!
This is it guys! The end of the game is close, VERY close! Who's excited?
Heal up after the fight with anything you may have in your stowpack and head right into the next area
where you'll find a chest out in the open with Healing Potion Lv.5.
Continue right and approach the to trigger a scene where we enter the final area and Shiva stays
behind. Let's do this! Proceed into the next room and approach the center to trigger a couple of scenes
and right after, prepare for a pair of boss fights, the last ones and back to back!
Sorcerer
Here we are, fighting the Evil Sorcerer in the body of Daksa. This must be extremely painful for poor
Isha. Don't worry because we'll be taking care of this sorcerer in no time.
Let me start by talking about his attacks because there's nothing more to the fight besides them. He's
extremely slow and most of the time just floats around.
Anyway, being a sorcerer, he'll obviously be able to use magic without the need of a Rune-Lens, much
like Isha can. He, however, uses all of the elements in whichever order he wants, and much like with
Isha, each element is a different kind of attack. Also note that these have a little variation as well, but
the attacks remain mostly the same.
So let me start with his fire attack. You'll of course see him glowing red and he'll create several
fireballs around him. He'll then shoot them out in a straight line towards your characters and explode
upon contact, either on you or a wall/floor. Make sure to not be anywhere close to the explosions
because the range of them is quite big. For the little variation, he'll create one more fireball.
As for his lightning attack, he'll start glowing blue with white and you'll see several red lines appear on
screen. A lightning bolt will shoot down from the ceiling at each of these red lines. Avoid being near
them, but if you are, make sure to quick step/teleport out of the way. Do note that they don't all shoot
down at the same time. For the little variation, he'll only summon one lightning bolt down.
For his earth attack, he didn't charge or glow at all. He simply summoned a rock wall to protect him
from your attacks. This basically gives him an armor gauge.
And that's about it. I think he was one of the easier bosses thus far. What do you think?
Giant Sorcerer
Time to fight a gigantic sorcerer. This one is much more "complex" than the previous fight, and much
more fun. There are some things here that you won't see anywhere else, so pay attention!
Note that this is the first and only boss arena where there are platforms we can use to stand on, but
also VERY important, to hide underneath to prevent taking damage. Keep that in mind for the fight.
Again, let me start by mentioning his attacks. His first attacks will be Waste Drops. This one sounds
kinda bad and you'll see why. Similar to most other bosses, he'll drop something from the ceiling and
several red lines will appear to indicate where these things are going to land. Well, for this attack he'll
drop purple spheres that stick to the ground, and even bodies that have the same color.
The spheres explode upon contact and leave gas behind that dissipates after a couple of seconds. This
gas, if touched, will petrify you. Yeah, something we haven't seen in the game (at least I haven't). This
isn't like your typical RPG where you're completely turned to stone, but it'll stop you from moving for a
couple seconds. You can still attack which is a good thing.
And it's a good thing because the bodies that drop will attack you. They don't really do anything
besides trying to smack you, so if you're petrified and they get close, kill them.
A little variation of the Waste Drops attacks is the Homing Drops. He'll summon the same purple
spheres and home them in on you. You can hide under a platform to stay safe, or double jump around
them.
One of the Sorcerer's most dangerous attacks is the Dark Wave attack. For this he'll glow red, but
unlike the regular attacks, it's like a red sphere appears from the top of his body and then the Dark
Wave appears. This thing hits you for a lot of damage and also sends you flying so be very careful. You
can easily quick step away from the center to prevent getting hit.
Similar to his previous fight, he'll summon several lightning bolts down on you. These are marked with
a red line so make good use of those platforms to hide underneath.
Another attack he does (and doesn't do that often) is his Swing. When he's really close to the ground
he'll place his arm on the ground and simply swipe to a side (depending on the arm). I recommend you
double jump and quick step to safety.
And that's about all it does. This fight is THE fight where you want to focus on your Link Attacks as
much as you can because he's very high up there and it'a pain to attack him. You can also save your
Link Attack for when you break his armor gauge so that way you deal tons of damage.
And that's about it everyone! There will be tons of scenes here so go ahead and close the walkthrough
(or tab out haha) and enjoy them. There's still Post Game Content so I'll see you there once the
credits are over.
I hope you enjoyed this guide as we played through Eiyuden Chronicles: Rising together. It was a heck
of a journey and every minute of it was fantastic. The game had such a vibe, with beautiful music, art,
and characters. This just made me super excited for the "Hundred Heroes" game.
Post Game
Ok, we have finally completed Eiyuden Chronicles: Rising. What a great game that was, huh? Well,
in post game we'll get some stuff to do.
First of all, we get to have a "Post-Gate" data, which allows us to replay the game from before the
final battle (just like I told you before). This is neat. We're taken back to the main title screen so
go ahead and load up your save file. It should say Post-Game Data.
AS you load back up you'll be told that you've gotten "Hard Mode" and you can change the
difficulty right away. You can also head to your house and change it whenever you feel like it. I
think this should've been something we got from the start since the game was pretty easy.
Well, what else do we have in Post Game? Well, what's the one thing this game LOVES to give
you? Yep, sidequests! We've got 27 more to go and almost all of them are on the bulletin board,
so head on over there and take a look.
It seems Sarita is not happy with Kajiv selling those Black Eggs and now she'll want to up the ante and
asks you for a Lava Rock. Sure, we can get that.
Head to the Barrows and use the signpost to go to the "Charred Crossing". From here go right, kill all
the Elite Shield Lizardmen and check the sparkle at the end to pick up the Lava Rock.
Once you have it, simply return to Sarita and give it to her to end the quest.
He just straight up asks us to go get some materials. Aight, we'll get them. This can be found at the
Quarry, from any of the Iron Ore deposits.
Note that for this you'll need a Lv.3 Pickaxe in order to get it, but the drop rate is rather low. You can
also go to Hogan and exchange for it with him. Pretty straightforward.
Once you have it, return to Tatara and give him the Ore to end the quest.
It seems some of his weapons are rusting and he needs a Whetstone to keep them in top shape.
Head to the Quarry and head inside. Go right, down the shaft and at the bottom go left into the next
room. Over here you'll find an Elite Shield Lizardman that wasn't here before, and it has a above
his head. Kill him to get the "Whetstone" we were looking for.
Once you have it return to town and give it to Bertrand to end the quest.
Once you have 3 of them, return to Frida and give them to her to end the quest.
It seems the chicken coop can't keep up with the demands of Black Eggs so he asks us to go get more.
If you remember, we get these from Snowpeak. Head to Farmside Menhir and go down into the
Barrows, then use the signpost to go to "Blizzard's Point". From here go left and in this area you can
find the Thunderbird Eggs as sparkles on the ground.
Once you have enough (you'll maybe have to go around this place twice) return to Rajiv and give him
the eggs to end the quest.
Mine Silver and Gold Ore from Snowpeak and The Lava Ruins
Ok, so Squash wants a lot, but both of these are super simple to get.
As you may know by now, all of the ore deposits in Snowpeak drop Silver Ore while all those in the
Lava Ruins drop Gold Ore. Go ahead and mine some of this ore and return to Squash. Give him 5 and 5
to end the quest. Super easy. You'll most likely be able to completely as soon as you get it haha.
It seems his shop is popping off and he needs materials. Oh well, no one else is going to help him but
us, so we might as well. He wants some High-Purity Ore. This can be found at the Quarry, from any of
the Iron Ore deposits.
Note that for this you'll need a Lv.3 Pickaxe in order to get it, but the drop rate is rather low. You can
also go to Hogan and exchange for it with him. Pretty straightforward.
Once you have it, return to Felipe and give him the Ore to end the quest.
Jashan wants to test out the latest bag he made by putting a Giant Lava Rock in it. Hmm.
You get these Giant Lava Rocks by defeating the boss of the Lava Ruins, Mantor Wyrm. Once you have
it, return to Jashan and give it to him to end the quest.
It seems Joerg wants to continue researching runes, especially because of Isha's condition. He wants
to help her overcome it. What a nice guy. He'll need some upgrades to his shop before he can continue.
He just needs some Durable Stone.
At this point you probably already have some. Well, he only wants 5 and you can even get it from
Hogan at Second Street. You can find Durable Stone at the Great Forest by mining the stone deposits.
For this, of course, you'll need a Lv.3 pickaxe so make sure to have that.
Once you do have them, return and give them to Joerg to end the quest.
This is a very simple one. Remember that the Purple Slimejelly drops from the blobs in the
Runebarrows, so simply head left to the Menhir, go down into the Runebarrows and kill these Electric
Blobs until you have enough Purple Slimejelly. Once you do, return to Ayus and give them to him to end
the quest.
This is a very odd one, especially once the game has been completed. Urmila asks for some Nuts and
Wyrmskin. The former can be found throughout the Great Forest from sparkles on the ground (in the
area between the cave and the boss fight). The latter can be found by killing the Worms in the tunnels
under the Cave signpost. At the bottom of the tunnels you can go both left and right to find more
worms if needed.
Once you have the ingredients, return to Urmila and give her the stuff to end the quest.
He was supposed to go in the expedition into the Barrows with Isha's dad, but he had a fever so his
brother went instead. Never came back. Damn that must hurt. Let's help him out in bringing back some
stuff.
Head into the Barrows and fast travel to the "Grand Passage". From here head right until you reach the
larger room with the "!" on your mini map. Here you'll find several Electric Blobs that have a above
them. Killing these will net you one of the notes we're looking for.
Once you kill all 4 and gotten all 4 notes, leave the Barrows and return to Bhuv to end the quest.
It seems he's one of the guys that went in the expedition with Isha's dad, and Daksa helped him come
back alive. He'll ask us to find some things down in the Barrows.
Head into the Barrows and fast travel to the "Grand Passage". From here head right until you reach the
larger room with the "!" on your mini map. Here you'll find several Electro Mages that have a
above them. Killing these will net you one of the scraps of paper we're looking for.
Once you kill all 3 and gotten all 4 pieces of paper, leave the Barrows and return to Kukrit to end the
quest.
Mishka is pickling vegetables, but she needs a jar for them. Let's go get her one.
Head to the Quarry and go inside. Here go right, head down the shaft and head left into the next room.
In here, be careful of the gas shooting out of the ground and at the far left side you'll be able to spot a
chest.
Open it up to find the Jar. Leave the Quarry and head back to Mishka to end the quest.
She got a super slick knife, but doesn't have a good cutting board. She needs some good wood for it.
Hardwood is the highest grade of lumber you can get, and of course you can get this in the Great
Forest. Note that you get this from the trees just like regular lumber, but you need a Lv.3 axe in order
for it to drop. It also has a low drop rate so you may need to go through the Great Forest a couple of
times.
On the other hand, if you don't want to farm for it, you can trade over at Hogan's shop at Second
Street. You need 3 Lightweight Lumber for 1 Hardwood. It's not that bad of a deal so up to you.
Once you have the required amount (3), return to Meher and give them to her to end the quest.
It seems he lost something important in the Quarry and for some reason he can't go get it himself.
Head to the Quarry and use the signpost to fast travel to the "Cavern". From here head right past all
the enemies and go up at the shaft. At the top go left to find a sparkle on the ground with a above
it.
This is Corrin's thing he wanted us to recover for him. Leave the Quarry and give it back to end the
quest.
Stolen Goods
Reward: Stamp, 1250 EXP
Head to the Farmside Menhir and head down into the Barrows. Head left into the next room and as you
go through it you'll find a sole Bandit.
Defeat him to get Saloni's goods. Leave the Barrows and give Saloni her stuff to end the quest.
Head into the Barrows and use the signpost to go to the Fishing Spot. As you get here you'll
immediately find a sparkle with a .
Head back up and give Emerson the sword. It's all rusted and stuff, but the quest will end.
Stolen Stock
Reward: Stamp, 1250 EXP
She's Jashan's daughter and it seems they have a lot of orders coming up and the bandits of course
stole stuff.
Head to the Farmside Menhir and head down into the Barrows. Head right into the next room and as
you go through it you'll find a sole Bandit.
Defeat him to get Saloni's goods. Leave the Barrows and give Saloni her stuff to end the quest.
In Need of Healing
Reward: Stamp, 1250 EXP
It seems he got attacked by a flock of Dandelions... or this game calls them "Cotton Flies". Um...
really? Let's go get him some herbs.
Use the signpost to go to the caves and exit using the upper right exit. In this next area simply run
around and kill the blobs that have the over them. Each one will drop a Medicinal Herb.
Once you've killed all 7, return to the entrance and give them to Jochen to end the quest.
It seems her dad became a mercenary and never came back. Let's go get her some food!
Enter the Great Forest behind her and fast travel to the Fishing Spot. From here simply go left to the
little pier and fish out some fish.
Note that for this I believe you need at least a Fishing Rod Lv.2 and you HAVE to catch Choice Fish.
These are the ones that count. Once you have them all return to Dory and watch a heartwarming scene
to end the quest.
It seems he lost his bow, which he was using to keep the elf sisters safe. Let's go get it back from the
bandits.
Head into the Great Forest next to him and use the signpost to go to the caves. From here go down the
tunnels and at the bottom head left into the next area. Once here head to the far left and you'll find a
Bandit that's usually not here.
Defeat him and he'll drop the Family Bow. Leave the forest and give the bow to Krenowel to end the
quest.
Feed Me
Reward: Stamp, 1250 EXP, Power Balm Lv.5
It seems she came to this town to try our Black Eggs and she hasn't eaten at all. She's about to pass
out from hunger.
Super easy. Simply head to Outlander Lane and go to Rajiv outside his Inn. Tell him you want some
Black Eggs and he'll give them to you. Simply return to Johanna and the quest will end. My question...
how does she has a stamp if she hasn't even reached town proper? Who knows.
It seems he was robbed by bandits. Did he really? Or did he just lost his stuff because he's drunk? Who
knows, but we'll find out.
Head to the Farmside Menhir and go down into the Barrows. From here go left 2 screens and you'll be
attacked by a plethora of Bandits. You'll first fight 2, but then 4 will drop. Be VERY careful because
they'll drop on both sides and they LOVE shooting several arrows at you. These arrows will do a ton of
damage so play it safe.
After you defeat all the Bandits, head left and check the sparkle to find the bag. Return it to
Awamuri to end the quest.
A Suspicious Someone
Reward: Stamp, 1250 EXP, Defense Balm Lv.5
We start this quest by speaking to Rohan at the Outskirts.
It seems there are Bandits prowling around the area so we better go check.
Head into the Great Forest and use the signpost to go to Hellhound Lake. Head right across this room
and leave it. Once out here, head right and you'll find a group of Bandits.
Take them out and return to Rohan. Let him know the Bandits have been dealt with to end the quest.
An Adventurer's Armor
Reward: 1250 EXP, 3000 baqua, Defense Balm Lv.4
The man wants to fortify his armor by using Shield Fragments. Good idea.
You can get Shield Fragments by defeating Shield Lizardmen. You know you can find them all over the
Quarry and Lava Ruins. We don't really use these all that much so you probably already have a bunch.
Give him the Shield Fragments to end the quest.
A Weapon to Wield
Reward: Stamp, 1500 EXP, Critical Balm Lv.5
We start this quest by speaking to Maria at the Outskirts.
Find a Wieldy Hammer in the Quarry
Maria wants a hammer to work on her stuff since she hasn't fully recovered.
Head to the Quarry and use the signpost to go to Golem's Keep. From here head left to the other area,
use the wooden platforms to go up and keep an eye on the right side to find a scaffold going right into
the next area.
In here head right, kill all the Lizardmen that appear and at the end of the room you'll be to find a chest
with the .
Once you have it, return to Maria and give her the hammer to end the quest.
And that's about it. The only thing you can do now is to max out your characters, fully upgrade
their gear, defeat the bosses in Hard Mode to obtain the trophies, and trophy hunt whichever ones
you're missing. None of them are missable, which is a nice thing.
One very important thing: the quest will continue to reappear despite maxing out your Black
Stamp Card. These are here mostly to give you EXP (to max your characters) and baqua to fully
upgrade your characters. The quests will be mostly repeats of previous quests we've already
done, but they may change a little thing or two so they don't feel TOO repetitive.
And that about wraps up the guide. Thanks for reading everyone! I'll hopefully catch you guys in
"Eiyuden Chronicles: Hundred Heroes", or in any of the other 100+ guides I've written. Much love!
Below you'll find a categorized list of the Trophies/Achievements in the game and guides for how you
can unlock each one.
Story Trophies/Achievements
There are 8 Trophies tied into simply playing through the main game and progressing through the story
to its end. The 8 Trophies below are unmissable. They include:
... And Your Tax Money Have Isha join the party.
There are 6 Trophies tied to the sidequests in the game. Given that there are so many of them, I'm
actually shock by not having more than 6 trophies. These include:
The Road to Recovery You'll get this one as soon as you complete your first sidequest
(impossible to miss).
One-Hundred Resident Complete every single Resident Quest. We've got them all listed in the
Record Table of Contents.

Character Upgrade Trophies/Achievements
There are 9 Trophies tied to upgrading your characters, both level-wise and their weapons/armor. They
include:
Scavenger's Honor Simply level up CJ up to Lv.30. You'll most likely get this normally as

as you play thorugh the game.
Adept, for an Acting Mayor Simply level up Isha up to Lv.30. You'll most likely get this normally as
you play thorugh the game.
No One Better You just need to level up one character to lv.50. It seems a bit too
grindy, and it is and not necessary at all. I recommend you equip the
accessories to increase the amount of EXP you get. Also consider
sleeping at the Inn to increase the amount of EXP you get. Note that
getting all the Stamps and trading in the Black Stamp Card nets you
with an accessory that drastically increases the amount of EXP you get
so try getting that.

going through the upgrades of the weapon and armor shops, as well
as the smithy. Of course, for this you'll need to level up the respective
