REPLACEMENT TIME LIMITS
1. General
A. The following life limited components are to be replaced at the specified time. It is recommended that the components be
scheduled for replacement during the airplane's inspection interval coinciding with, or occurring just before the expiration of the
specified time limit. Procedures for replacement of the components are described in the applicable chapters in this
Maintenance Manual.
2. Replacement Schedule
A. Air Conditioning (Chapter 21)
(1) Vapor Cycle Cooling System Compressor Drive Motor Brushes (Compressor Motors 1134104-1, -5 or FWA1134104-1, -
5) - Replace every 500 compressor hours.
NOTE: Refer to the Enviro Systems Inc. Operating, Servicing and Component Maintenance Manual 21-00-
27.
B. Flight Controls (Chapter 27)
(1) Flaps.
(a) Left center flap assembly (Part Number 6225120-3 - Replace 15,000 hours
(b) Right center flap assembly (Part Number 6225120-4) - Replace 15,000 hours
(2) Elevators.
NOTE: In the event that repair of the hinge or surrounding hinge structure is necessary due to failed rivets
or structural cracking, the applicable bolt is to be replaced.
NOTE: S3468-7, S3461-86 and S3461-87 are required spares for AN5C14, and NAS6204-11D and NAS6204-
7D respectively in the listed applications. The S3468-7, S3461-86 and S3461-87 bolts are AN5C14,
and NAS6204-11D and NAS6204-7D bolts that meet specific, elevated quality/inspection
requirements and are dye marked for identification purposes.
(a) Left and right elevator hinge bolts - ES 0.00 (Part Number AN5C14, S3468-7) -- Replace 5000 hours
(b) Left and right elevator hinge bolts - ES 36.95 (Part Number NAS6204-11D, S3461-86) -- Replace 5000 hours
(c) Left and right elevator hinge bolts - ES 73.21 (Part Number NAS6204-11D, S3461-86) -- Replace 5000 hours
(d) Left and right elevator hinge bolts - ES 97.30 (Part Number NAS6204-7D, S3461-87) -- Replace 5000 hours
(3) Rudders.
NOTE: In the event that repair of the hinge or surrounding hinge structure is necessary due to failed rivets
or structural cracking, the applicable bolt is to be replaced.
(a) Rudder hinge bolt - WL 224.89 (Part Number NAS6205-7D) -- Replace 5000 hours
(b) Rudder hinge bolt - WL 198.58 (Part Number NAS6205-7D) -- Replace 5000 hours
(c) Rudder hinge bolt - WL 167.92 (Part Number NAS6205-7D) -- Replace 5000 hours
(d) Rudder hinge bolt - WL 140.60 (Part Number NAS6205-16D, NAS6205-17D) -- Replace 5000 hours
(4) Horizontal Stabilizer Trim Actuator Assembly (Part Number 9914056-7, -8) -- Restoration (No-Back Brake Replacement)
1200 hours
NOTE: The Horizontal Stabilizer Trim Actuator Assembly Restoration (No-Back Brake Replacement) is not
field serviceable. Contact the Textron Aviation Parts Department at 316-517-6002 for assistance
with an exchange Horizontal Stabilizer Trim Actuator Assembly or assistance with restoration of
your Horizontal Stabilizer Trim Actuator Assembly.
C. Landing Gear (Chapter 32)
NOTE: The attaching hardware (bolts, bearings, trunnion pins, trunnion/link pins, bushings, and axle
components associated with the installation of the components below) is to be replaced whenever the
associated component is replaced. Refer to Chapter 32, Nose Landing Gear and Doors -
Removal/Installation, for more information.
(1) Airplanes -0001 thru -0241
(a) Left main landing gear trunnion (Part Number 6241101-3) -- Replace 12,000 landings
(b) Left main landing gear trunnion (Part Number 6241101-7, -9) -- Replace 23,000 landings
