“There could never really be justice on stolen land, are you really for peace and

equality?” These are the lyrics from one of Kanye West’s songs. I have a simple yet so
powerful wish, which is, there should be peace in the world. In our fast growing and
often chaotic world peace seems like a distant dream.

You cant imagine todays world without any wars or conflicts.


Peace is about respect among people and understanding each other. If all of us could
live harmony and appreciate each other. Saying a good word for someone or just
smiling won’t cost u a penny. Living in a beautiful house with an amazing backyard and
having a lot of expensive things would loose all its power if it wasn’t under your
beloved countries name. Fighting for some things that doesn’t make u happy is a
complete rubbish. Wars cause a lot of problems like malnutrition, sexual violence, it can
also cause a lot of mental problems to people of course a lot of deaths and injuries
happen too. Let’s take a look at a great example to this topic. The armed conflict
between Russia and Ukraine. It’s all a big one nonscience, why can some crazy man just
invade a huge country and think that he is the boss there from now on? This huge war
which has being going on for almost 2 years now and it’s pretext is that Russia needs to
get back their old possessions. This conflict is killing not just the people but also their
traditions. Imagine a nation without any traditions and just doing something that is
suggested by other countries. All the money spent on wars could be used for important
things like education, health, taking care of our planet or for charity. In my opinion no one
likes wars well maybe some crazy people who think that killing people is fun. Helping
someone in need. If everyone did these small things it could make a big difference. But it's
not just about what we do as individuals. Governments and leaders play a big role too. They
need to work for peace, not just talk about it. They should solve problems by talking and
understanding not with force. Countries need to work together and find ways to live together
peacefully. I also believe that education is key to peace. When people learn about other
cultures and histories they start to understand and respect them. Schools should teach children
how to solve conflicts in a peaceful way. They should learn how to talk and listen not just
win an argument. Sometimes my wish for peace feels too big and impossible. The news is
often full of stories about conflicts and violence.

To sum up, then I remember that big changes start with small steps. Each of us can be a part
of those steps. We can choose to be kind and understanding. We can learn about others and
respect our differences. We can encourage our leaders to choose peace over conflict.

S o as Kanye once said it wouldn’t bring you happiness or any sort of joy living on stolen
land.
