Topic: What are the advantages and disadvantages of studying abroad and

studying in your home country?

Hê lô evbd. It my pleasure to welcome all of you here. Let me introduce we are
group 4. our group has 4 members and I’m Chi - the group leader and the
remaining four friends are Oanh, Phương, Thiện.
As you can see on the screen, today, our team will tackle the question: What are
the advantages and disadvantages of studying abroad and studying in your home
country. Our presentation is divided into two parts: one concerning studying
abroad and the other about studying in your home country. We shall discuss the
pros and cons of the mentioned two methods of learning.
When people's standard of living increase, they often think about improving their
knowledge for a better life. To do that, they choose to study in developed countries
where they can get progressive education. However, everything has its advantages
and disadvantages,so studying abroad is not an exceptation.
In my point of view, studying abroad is the most effective approach to develop
ourselves. Our team have carefully looked into and found four important
advantages for studying abroad.

- Fristly, We have chance to improve our language skills:

I believe that nothing beats learning a language alongside native speakers.
Because we can practise what we learn in school with locals, it is really
beneficial to our listening and speaking abilities. It also offers opportunities
to learn about different cultures, ways of thinking, history, customs, and
lifestyles.

- Secondly, developing independent lifestyle: Studying abroad does not

only highlights the learning curve but also improves a self-sufficient attitude
and also helps the student to develop an independent lifestyle. For example,
when a student gets educated in their hometown they do not get a chance to
understand how to live a life independently and also dependence will make
them feel very comfortable only in their circle. In this way, studying in
abroad will help them know to adopt and live independently.

- Thirdly, Get ahead with prospective employers: Through study abroad,

you can gain international experience and skills such as intercultural
sensitivity, the ability to deal with ambiguity, and adaptation to new
surroundings-all highly valued by employers.
 Lastly, International travel: As well as experiencing the culture of your study
destination, you will also be able to travel to other nearby countries. For
example, if you go to a UK university, you can easily catch a flight to
continental Europe to see Paris, Rome, Barcelona and many more fascinating
places.
 In short, there are few experiences that are as transformative to the development
of a student as study abroad. A full immersion in another culture heightens ones
cultural sensitivities and opens our minds to the complexity of the world
 Well that’s it from me. In the next section, Thien will inform you guys about
the drawbacks of studying abroad
