TRANS-VAGINAL USG

UTERUS
It is anteverted and bulky with heterogenous myometrium. A subendometrial echogenic nodule is present in
the anterior uterine myometrium. Endometrial thickness is 10.3 mms. Uterine cavity is empty. Cervix is
normal. Os is closed.
Uterus measures 97.0 x 45.5 x 78.9 mms.

ADNEXA
Both adnexa are clear. Both ovaries are normal in size, shape, outline and echotexture.
Right ovary measures 17.3 x 8.9 x 14.8 mms (vol – 1.1 cc).
Left ovary measures 20.8 x 12.7 x 23.3 mms (vol – 3.2 cc).

No free fluid is seen in the Pouch of Douglas.

IMPRESSION:
Bulky uterus with heterogenous myometrium suggestive of adenomyosis.
