POKER CHEAT SHEET
Poker follows the same basic order of cards as most other card games. The highest card is an Ace, followed by King,
Queen and Jack. From there it goes down in numbers from 10 until 2. This means that a pair of Aces is higher than a
pair of Kings and a three of a kind of Jacks will beat a three of a kind of 7s
ROYAL FLUSH
Royal flush is the highest ranking standard poker hand. It is both a
straight (5 sequentially ranked cards) and a flush (5 cards of the same
suit), and plays ace high.
10 9 8 7 6 STRAIGHT FLUSH
The second highest ranking standard poker hand. It is both a straight
(5 sequentially ranked cards) and a flush (5 cards of the same suit),
10 9 8 7 6 but unlike the royal flush, aces are only played low.
Q Q Q 3 FOUR OF A KIND
The third highest ranking standard poker hand. The rank of the quad
will defeat lower ranking quads, regardless of the rank of the
Q Q Q 3 unmatched card.
A A K K FULL HOUSE
The fourth highest ranking standard poker hand. The rank of the trio
will defeat lower ranking trios, regardless of the rank of the pair.

2 5 7 8 Q FLUSH
The fifth highest ranking standard poker hand. The highest ranking
card, or next highest ranking card where high ranked cards match in
2 5 7 8 Q each hand, will defeat the highest ranking card in another hand.
9 8 7 6 5 STRAIGHT
The sixth highest ranking standard poker hand. The highest ranking
card in one hand will defeat the highest ranking card in another.

The seventh highest ranking standard poker hand. The rank of the trio
will defeat lower ranking trios, regardless of the rank of the 2

A A K K 6 TWO PAIR
The eighth highest ranking standard poker hand. The higher ranking
pair will defeat lower ranking pairs, regardless of the rank of the
A A K K 6 unmatched card, unless the ranks of both pairs are the same in each
hand.
A A 3 4 6 ONE PAIR
The ninth highest ranking standard poker hand. The rank of the pair
will defeat lower ranking pairs, regardless of the rank of the

A J 3 4 6 HIGH CARD
The tenth highest, and last, ranking standard poker hand. The highest
ranking card in a mismatched hand, or next highest ranking card
A J 3 4 6 where high ranked cards match in each hand, will defeat the highest
ranking card in another hand.
