1. Section 8.2 – Reference to approved MSRA for Excavation and Backfilling to be given and compliance
shall be ensured as required.
2. Ensure compliance with relevant requirements of MSDS/COSHH assessment including PPE while
handling chemicals.
3. Ensure storage of UPVC pipes and accessories are being done on levelled ground, at safe height, in
accordance with manufacturer's recommendations.
4. Ensure that safe access/egress is available for all work locations.
5. Ensure compliance with CoP 34.0 of OSHAD SF if UPVC pipes are lowering to the excavations/
trenches using any lifting equipment.
6. The approved Method Statement and Risk Assessment to be briefed to the workers/supervisors prior
to commencing the activities, ensure their understanding and documented.
7. Installation of underground UPVC duct pipes and accessories shall be done by competent operatives
under the supervision of a competent supervisor.
8. The activity to conducted in strict compliance with OSHAD SF & other applicable legislative and other
requirements.
