Control unit basic version

Special tools: 9998539, 9998699

Other special equipment: 88890074

NOTE!

Check the connectors that have been disassembled during the fault tracing with regard to oxidation and switch
resistance.

For further descriptions of fault tracing in wiring and connectors, see separate service information under group
371.

Tests that can be carried out in the PC tool

The following tests are useful for closely examining the function of the wheel speed sensors:

59302-3 Wheel speed sensor, ABS, test.

Note: For FMI 9, do the test on one wheel at a time and check that the correct wheel gives a signal.

59303-3 Sensor wheel ABS, test.

Measurements at the control unit

Note: Faults in the cable harness can damage the component. Always do a check of the component if any of the
measurement values deviate.

Short circuit to battery voltage, checks

Component check
Note: A fault in a component can be caused by faults in the cable harness to the control unit. A check of the cable
harness should also therefore be made before connecting a new component.

Conditions:
Connector to the particular wheel speed sensor disconnected.
Resistance measurement using a multimeter.
Measurement on component.
