Outreach is the act of “reaching out” to people with the goal of offering a

service.
Typically to complete strangers.
Why is it important?
If you’re starting.. outreach is the only way to get clients.
Inbound leads are bullshit, idc how good your linkedin looks.

The typical progression


Outreach  Prospect
Prospect  Lead
Lead  Client
Client  Pays you
Client  Gets you more clients

Getting clients
You are going to be doing cold outreach
“Cold” refers to reaching out to someone who doesn’t know you
This is completely normal, not weird

Ways to NOT get clients


Because there’s a few, and you probably try at least one of them…
Fiver/Upwork
- Bullshit jobs
- Low pay
- Fighting 3rd worlders
- +Clients are typically pricks
- ++It’s pay to win
Linkedin
- Genuinely a fake circle jerk.
- The people there are looking for full time
- It’s also pay to win
- Gay

Job boards
- Bottom of the bucket job
- Low pay, full time contract
- No leverage..They are picking you out of dozens

There are two ways you’re going to get clients


- Instagram
- Email

Scripts to avoid:
Straight to the point:
“Hey guys I can help you make more money”
“Hey guys need help with your copy?”

Leading with value:


- Can work but also a waste of time
- Time is money
- You don’t buy plane tickets on a first date
If its too upfront, and they will disqualify it instantly
The key with outreach is progression
Send message 
Get out of requests 
Get a reply 
Get a sales call 
Get paid 

This is fucking important


The reason this outreach method is so powerful is because it follows a
strategic path:
Follow it sequentially.

Send them a cold DM using THIS script:


SCRIPT = Personalized compliment + How they helped your life
Example: Hi, I loved your content, it made me get better at x (ejemplo), etc

Then when they reply..


Make a google doc… explaining what they need fixing.
Do they have an email list? Are they’re emails good? Is their welcome
email quick?
Send the google doc…
A message saying:
“To say thanks, thought id put this together for you, not sure if you need
or want it but hope it helps”.
Email
1. Getting the clients
2. Finding the decision makers email
3. Sending the email
4. Repeat
Use apollo.io
Use kickstarter
Use Youtube and search for the email

Then shoot over an email:


“Hey guys/name/brand…I just bought your (insert product) for my (insert
person) and (insert benefit). Just wanted to say I love what you’re doing,
keep up the great work.”
Then the same as IG

Tips:
1. Buy a domain  They will take you more seriously
2. Don’t spam  Quality > Quantity
3. Be patient

The #1 reason you won’t succeed is because you:


- Don’t do enough outreach

How to get clients through clients


- Do good work
- Ask when things are going well
- Do good work, again
“Do you know anyone that may also benefit from some help with their
copy?”
