I have joined TAPS 1&2 on 1stAugust 2023 as scientific officer/C, after successfully completing
one year orientation training at KKNPP Nuclear Training Centre. I have undergone one month
Plant familiarization Training at TAPS 1&2 NTC & from September onwards joined in
Operation section since then I am working in round the clock shift in operation section and
reporting to Shri Sanjeev Kumar (SCE, A crew).
As a Trainee Control Engineer, my job is, to complete the operation Level –III checklist which
was issued to me by NTC TAPS 1&2 in September 2023. Along with this, area of my work
includes assisting main control room staff in day to day activities of plant operation and
participating in incidents handling and problems troubleshooting.
For the period under consideration, I have completed 25 checklists.
So far along with getting accustomed to round the clock shift duty, I have taken active
participation in routine works and all functional checks i.e. daily, monthly, quarterly, half yearly
and annually also assisted control engineers and ASCE in successful completion of these
functional checks and routines.
Along with the assigned job of completing the checklist and learning about plant systems, I have
also participated in following activities:
1. I was actively involved in the cell preparatory work for neutron source removal of both the
   units and contributed in following activities-
      Aluminum dummies movement within the core.
      Removal of old spacers from top grid cells & placed in designated place in the spent fuel
         pool.
      Installation of new spacers to the top grid which was removed earlier.
      Removal and Installation of control rod blades.
2. I actively participated in Guide tube removal in both units.
3. I carried out the following Activities:-
      fuel transfer from spent fuel pool to AAFR Fuel pool.
      Transfer of irradiated fuel bundles from spent fuel pool to fuel transfer cask.
      Functional check of refueling bridge grapple.
      Transfer of fuel bundles from fuel transfer cask to fuel pool of AAFR for long term
         storage.
4. I participated in plant emergency exercise, fire fighting exercise and chlorine leak
   exercise.
5. I assisted in isolation and normalization of equipments and systems for their maintenance
   work and subsequent testing.
6. I attended following trainings:
      Induction training at NTC in August 2023
      Medical First Aid Training.
      Training on Safety culture and FME.
      Human Performance Enhancement tools traps & Equipment Qualification.
      Team building training.
Apart from above I have done other following contribution-
    I was as an observer on behalf of NPCIL for conducting written examination for the
        recruitments of various personnel for ST (cat-II) & Nurse-B.
    I was involved in SOER, SER, ER, flash reports discussion from OERC and latest
       FCNs carried out in plant. I also gave valuable suggestion during discussion for the improvement
       of plant Performance.
    As plant is under project mode of cutting and replacement of recirculation loop in
       alliance with CORE ENGINEERING, I have been involved in chemical and ultrasonic
       decontamination of recirculation pumps other essential parts of it.
I have attended my duty with sincerity and all necessary precautions which are essential for safe
and continuous plant activities. I acknowledge shortcomings in my performance from time to
time and have all the intention to improve them and perform my duties better in future.
1.Complete Operation LEVEL-III checklist issued by NTC & acquire reactor operator license.
2.To work efficiently to reduce man rem consumption.
3.To assist in Recirculation loop replacement for plant Start-up
