2 COMMON VENOMOUS SNAKES

Be aware of these vipers and cobras
found in remote area!
1. Arabian Sand Viper (Cerastes cerastes):
Highly venomous viper with sandy coloration for

camouflage.
Strikes up to half its body length in a surprise attack.
Look for small horns above its eyes.
2. Egyptian Cobra (Naja haje arabica):
Large and highly venomous cobra with a distinctive hood.
Raises its upper body to threaten and may spit venom.
Avoid at all costs.
3. Black Desert Cobra (Walterinnesia aegyptia):
Less common but highly venomous cobra found in
desert areas.
Smaller than the Egyptian cobra but just as dangerous.
Nocturnal and can be aggressive if disturbed.

Encounter a snake? Here's what to
do:
Contact your safety department or

Stop work in the area until the snake is gone.
Never attempt to kill the snake (most bites
happen this way!).
If indoors, contact emergency services for
professional removal.

5 SNAKEBITE FIRST AID -
STAY SAFE!
If bitten by a snake, prioritize
these steps:

Stay calm and seek medical attention
immediately.
Avoid movement and keep the bite area below
your heart.
Do not apply a tourniquet, cut the area, or suck
out venom.
Gently wash the bite with soap and water.
Remove tight-fitting items around the bite
