WEEKLY WEATHER OUTLOOK
August 2 - 9, 2024
From today until tomorrow (August 2 – 3), the Southwest Monsoon or "habagat" will bring mostly
cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms over Western Visayas, Negros Island
Region (NIR), Zamboanga Peninsula, and Palawan. The rest of the country will experience partly cloudy
to cloudy skies apart from isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.
From Sunday to Monday (August 4 – 5), The whole archipelago will be partly cloudy to cloudy with
chances of brief afternoon or evening rainshowers or thunderstorms.
From Tuesday-Friday (August 6 – 9), The approach of the Low Pressure Area (LPA) near the
northeastern boundary of the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) will drive the southwest monsoon
towards western section of the country. It may bring mostly cloudy skies with scattered rains and
isolated thunderstorms over the Ilocos Region, Western Visayas, Northern Island Region (NIR),
Zambales, Bataan, Cavite, Batangas, Benguet, Abra, Northern Palawan and Occidental Mindoro. Metro
Manila and the rest of the country may expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies with localized rain showers
or thunderstorms mostly in the early morning, afternoon or evening.

and Weather Advisories if there are significant changes in the weather scenario.
