MATERIALS PATTERN NOTE:
• Finished size: the finished toy is
(4/0) 2.5 mm crochet hook
approximately 19cm high.
Sport yarn (160m/50gr): orange yarn, TIPS:
cream yarn, blue yarn, brown yarn, yellow • Make invisible decrease stitches to get
yarn a better result.
• Add stuffing according to the instruction
6mm black beads or toy safety eyes
of each part.
Needle for sewing • Stitches should be close together so that
when the finished toy is stuffed, the stuffing
Toy stuffing (fiberfill)
does not come out through gaps between

Insert the safety eyes between rounds 13 and 14, 11 stitches apart.
Fasten off. Stuff the head firmly with fiberfill.
HAIR (start in yellow yarn)
Start working in the FLO of round 7 of the head.
Cut a piece of yarn. (Picture 1)
Insert the hook underneath one of the FLO stitches. Remember to insert inwards so that the
hook is pointing towards the middle of the head. Find the middle of a piece of yarn, that’s what
we’re going to pull through the FLO stitch. Pull the yarn outwards. (Picture 2)

Now we have a little loop: pull the two ends through the loop. (Picture 3)
Then pull them tight. This is our first pair of hairs. (Picture 4)

Repeat the instructions for the remaining FLO stitches.


Using brown thread, embroider a mouth. Using orange thread, embroider a nose.
HAT (start in brown yarn)

Leave the remaining stitches unworked. Stuff the right leg firmly with fiberfill. Do not fasten off and

Do not stuff the arm. Flatten the opening of
the arm and sew through both layers to close
the opening. Fasten off. Leave a long tail for
sewing.

Pin and sew the arms to both sides of the body.


Last step:
Put the hat on the scarecrow.

of felt. Locate the sewing point with black ink first. (Picture 2)
