Welcome to a Fairytale Woven from Threads!
My name is Irini!
Once upon a time, in 2017, I picked up yarn and a crochet hook,
and ever since, stitch by stitch, little wonders have come to life.
Since 2022, I have been creating crochet patterns to share this
magical world with everyone who believes in fairy tales.
Welcome to my crochet pattern for the heartfelt toy “Baby One
on the Moon.”
This soft creation is filled with a sense of warmth and wonder.
It’s perfect as a nursery decoration, a newborn gift, or simply a
charming piece of handmade magic.
Imagine a quiet night, with the moon gently glowing in the sky
— and on its soft edge, a little one is resting, dreaming, smiling
at the stars, and listening to the whisper of dreams.
May this toy bring a bit of moonlight and childhood magic into
your home.
As you create it, you’re weaving a touch of fairytale into every
stitch.
May your creativity be full of
magic!

Crochet Tips:
1. You can choose any yarn, but then you will also need to
choose the right hook size. Crochet tightly, there should be no
gaps between stitches.
2. Stuff the toy as you go very tightly (unless otherwise
indicated), distribute fiberfill evenly.
3. The size of the toy depends on the hook size, on the gauge
itself, and even on the crochet technique (X-shaped, V-
shaped stitches or mixed). I crochet using a mixed method.

**4. In crochet, there is a concept called a “shifting stitch” (extra
sc). What does it mean?
When working in rounds, the first stitch of each round tends to
shift slightly to the right — for some people it happens every
row, for others every few rows.
At that point, we need to make a shifting stitch to bring the
stitch marker back to its original position.
This is important to ensure that all inc and dec line up correctly.
In this pattern, we’ll be crocheting a moon shape in continuous
rounds, and it’s essential that the inc and dec are placed directly
above each other.
That’s why we’ll need to shift the end of the round by making a
shifting stitch at the end of certain round.
Since everyone’s crochet tension is different, I won’t mark the
shifting stitch in the description of the pattern.
Instead, I’ll just note that inc and dec should be aligned, and
you’ll need to adjust your rounds accordingly.

*please check the crochet tips (page 4).
Increases should be placed one above the other and always
stay in a straight line (photo 1). This largely depends on your
crochet tension. If you notice that the increases start to slant,
you can change the beginning of the round by crocheting 1 or 2
extra stitches and moving the marker.
