OPERATIONAL PROCEDURE

Equipment Type DESKTOP COMPUTER


Location Practical Work Area /Computer Laboratory

Operation Procedure :
1. Inspect the setup of the computer. Be sure that the area is dry and no split liquid
nearby.
2. Check the stability of the computer and keyboards.
3. Check power cords and cable connections.
4. Wipe dust and remove unnecessary objects that will obstruct the use of the
computer.
5. Keep your computer in an air conditioned room,
6. Turn on AVR/UPS and then turn on the computers
7. Be careful not to bump or drop your computer, and do not put any objects on top
of it. The case although strong, in not made to support extra weight.
8. Use the computer properly. Avoid downloading from unrecognized/unsafe sites.
9. Use an anti-virus program to prevent a virus on your computer and keep your
anti-virus up to date.
10. Before using external hard drive or flash drive, scan /fix and clean viruses. After
using it, be sure to close the document/program and eject it.
11. Always shut down your computer properly.
12. Turn off the AVR/UPS after shutting down the computer
13. Return the mouse, keyboard and chair to their proper place after use.
