ABSTRACT
Employee’s performance appraisal as a tool for the growth of public health Our study focuses on
to find out the specific objective of this study is to establish how performance appraisal process
affects employee performance at federal medical Centre Bida Niger state To find out how
performance appraisal methods affects employees at Federal medical Centre Bida. effect of
performance appraisal on employee’s performance and also analyses that motivation affects the
relationship of performance appraisal and employee’s performance. Two hypotheses are
analyzed by using sampling techniques; we were select 60 numbers of employees as sample by
using simple random sampling among the employee in Federal Medical centre bida it was
recommend that Any changes made to ratings of employees during the performance appraisal
process should be communicated clearly and early to all concerned. This would go a long way to
prevent conflict situations and create a healthy atmosphere for team work. and also Methods of
helping poor performers to improve upon their performance, such as counselling and job
rotation as well as transfers should be put in place by top management as policy interventions.
