Mine Mine MINE! There's gold deep in the mine - lots of gold!
And there's the terrifying dragon, Dragobert. Don't let his fiery
breath sizzle you! Collect the most gold, keep an eye on Dragon
to reach the exit in me. With a good por on of luck and daring,
you will be the top dwarf!

Game components

16 exit cards

6 dwarf cards

9 mine cards

6 dwarf
wooden tokens

12 golden
nuggets
58 digging cards
Game Goal
A game consists of three rounds. In the first two rounds,
players collect nuggets that give them an advantage in
the third and final round. Whoever collects the most gold
by the final round wins!

Prepara on

• Lay out the nine mine cards with their blue faces up as a
track, as shown in the game illustra on. Place the exit on the
le end and Dragobert Dragon on the right end. The mine
card with the cart goes right in the middle of the track. Place
the other six mine cards anywhere in between.
• Each player receives a dwarf card and the dwarf disc of the
same color. Place the dwarf card in front of you. Place
your discs on the mine card with the cart.

If you are playing with two players, read the two-player

variant "Double Bustle."
• Shuffle all of the prospec ng cards and place them in a
face-up stack. Does the top card show the dragon? Then
shuffle the deck again un l there is a gold nugget on top.

• Shuffle the exit cards and place them face down in a pile
next to the prospec ng cards.

• Lay out the twelve nuggets on the side. Tip: You can use
the open lid of the box to store the two stacks of cards and
the nuggets.

Gameplay

The youngest player starts.

On your turn you always have the following two
possibili es:

Draw a prospec ng card to collect gold!

or

Pull an exit card to get to safety! Or to push the

others out of the mine.

Then it is the next player's turn in clockwise order.

Here's what happens. when you draw a prospec ng card:

There are 4 different prospec ng cards:

“More gold, more danger!" (2 nuggets)

Move your dwarf one mine card further to
the right towards the dragon.

“Gold, up!" (1 nugget with exit)

Move your dwarf one mine card to the le
towards the exit.

“Just gold!" (1 nugget)

Your dwarf stops.

Place the prospec ng card you drew face-down in front of you.

"Drago is coming and sizzling!"
Now, a er you have drawn a prospec ng card
with a gold nugget, is the dragon the top card on
the prospec ng deck? Then Drago immediately
moves one space to the le in, breathing fire
toward the exit.
Swap the Drago card with the blue
mine track card directly to his le .
Turn the traded mine card over to
the red back.

Unfortunately, if there were dwarves on the flipped mine card,

their players are eliminated in this round. They must put the
prospec ng cards they have collected back into the box and put
their dwarf back on their dwarf card. They do not take part in
the round scoring.

The prospec ng card with a dragon is also removed from the

game for this round. Put them back in the box.

Watch out: is the dragon the top card on the prospec ng card
stack again? — Then Drago immediately moves one more space
to the le towards the exit! Affected players are eliminated, the
prospec ng card with a dragon is removed from the game again.

This happens un l there are no more dragons on top of the stack.

If Drago is now directly to the right of the exit. the round ends
immediately. He doesn't move any further, even if another
dragon is uncovered.
Here's what happens. when you draw an exit card:
There are 5 different exit ac ons:

"One step" (arrow to le )

Move your dwarf one mine card to the
le towards the exit.

"Double step" (two arrows to le )

Move your dwarf two mine cards to the le
towards the exit. If you have already reached
the exit a er the first step, the second one expires.

"All together" (Arrow with 6 meeples)

Move all dwarves one mine card to the le
towards the exit.

"Swapping places" (Two meeples with circular arrows)

Swap your dwarf with any other dwarf s ll in play.

"Extra gold" (Three gold nuggets)

Place this card in front of you and take three extra
gold nuggets at the end of the round.

If there are two ac ons on an exit card, you choose one ac on.
If you cannot perform one of the two ac ons, you must use
the other ac on.
Place the played exit card face-up next to the face-down exit
pile. This is where the discard pile is created. If the exit pile is
used up, the discard pile is shuffled and placed face down as a
new exit pile.
If a dwarf moves onto the star ng card, the round
is over for this player. He places his dwarf on the
top free space on the ladder. The player and his
collected gold nuggets are safe from Drago.

A dwarf can also reach the exit if it is placed on the exit card by
the All Together ac on. If several dwarves reach the exit at the
same me, they are placed one a er the other in a clockwise
order on the top free spaces of the ladder, star ng from the
player who triggered the ac on.

End of round and scoring

The round ends as soon as all dwarves are on the ladder or are
eliminated by Drago.

Each player whose dwarf has reached the exit counts the gold
nuggets on their collected prospec ng cards. If a player has the
extra gold card, he adds three gold nuggets.

The player with the most gold nuggets wins the

round and gets 3 nuggets, second best 2 nuggets
and third best 1 nugget. Put the nuggets you
received on your dwarf card ready for the final
scoring.

"Gold e?" - If two or more players have collected the same

amount of gold, their placement on the top of the ladder wins
the e.
Second round
Shuffle all the Mine and Exit cards and lay them out again in
two piles. Lay out the mine as at the start of the game and place
your dwarfs back on the mine card with the cart. Whoever won
the previous round begins.
Final Round
A er two rounds, the third final round follows - now it's decided
who wins the game! Prepare the round just like the previous one.
Whoever won the previous round begins.

Final Scoring
All players who received nuggets in the first two rounds now
have an advantage. You add these to the gold nuggets collected
in the final. A nugget on a card counts as much as a gold nugget.

If a player is eliminated in the final round by Drago, he may only

count the nuggets he has received in earlier rounds.
The player with the most gold wins the game!

If two or more players have collected the same amount of gold,

the player whose dwarf is higher on the ladder wins
Two-player variant "Double Bustle"
In a two-player game, you can play with the following variant:
Each player receives two dwarves, which he plays one a er the
other, always in the same order. Only then do the two dwarves
of the other player take their turn, one a er the other. It is best
to place your two dwarf cards next to each other in front of you
so that you can remember the order be er.

Each player collects the gold of their two dwarves first on a

common team pile:
• If a dwarf is eliminated by Drago, the remaining dwarf
con nues alone with the team deck.
• When one of the two dwarfs reaches the exit, all the gold in
the team stack that has been collected up to that point is placed
on his dwarf card. This dwarf and his gold are safe from Drago.
The dwarf remaining in the mine now collects gold on a new
extra stack. If he also reaches the exit, the collected gold from
his extra stack is placed on his dwarf card.

The round scoring remains the same. A player can win mul ple
nugget scorings in a round if both of their dwarves reach the exit
and do well accordingly.

Tip: In "Double Bustle", players should plan in good me when

the first dwarf will leave the mine with the team stack, so that
the second dwarf s ll has the opportunity to collect more gold
for his extra stack.
