Title would be - "Jyotish Vaidyam - Predicting Probable Diseases"

My point of research would be to know the probable diseases or health in general, through the
horoscope of the native and try to take precautionary measures to push it back by forewarning
the person.
As discussed with you, below is detailed hypothesis with example charts. Kindly share your
views on the same. For each four hypotheses I have given two example charts.
1. Analysis of Health through lagna element - Fire, water, earth and air.
~ Lagna with Fire and earth element gives strength to the native to resist the diseases compare to
air and water element lagna.
Case – 1
Trikamdas Native born on 14th May 1943 – 7.49 am – at Sohagpur MP
The native is suffering from blood clot problem since 2002. Native had a habit of smoking which
caused this problem and after the brain stroke, he stopped. The life style is simple with no bad
habit after the problem. He is living better life till date. Blood clotting relates to mars, Moon and
Sun in astrology. Any affliction to these planets would cause problem.

The native had his first brain stroke in his Jupiter/Saturn dasa in 2002, as the blood started
clotting in his brain. Because of his smoking, his nerves got damaged.
The second time in 2014. During end of his Jupiter and Rahu antra.
Transit Analysis:
In 2002, dasa lord Jupiter, being 8th lord was transiting over natal Rahu and was exalted. Saturn
was transiting the 2nd maraka house and also natal Venus and Jupiter. Rahu – Ketu were over
natal Rahu – Ketu and this became fatal for the native. Here major planets were placed in the
water and air element sign.
In 2014 also dasa lord Jupiter being 8th lord was exalted in Cancer, transiting over natal Rahu.
This time it was mild stroke and with change of medicines he was good. Saturn was transiting
lagna along with Rahu also in lagna. This time too 8th lord was transiting in water sign, Cancer
Conclusion: It was acquired disease but the native took care on his habits and medication which
was helpful to prevent any major fatalities. He laid a simple life with disciplined routine which
help him handle this problem with ease.
From the chart we can notice:
1) The lagna Taurus has earth element which is stable and firm. Also, the Taurus sign is fixed
sign to further give it strength and endurance to fix a problem. The problem relates to brain, the
lagna directly. Earthy planet, Mercury is placed in lagna along with Saturn. Saturn is badhaka for
Taurus lagna. Both the planet has signification on nerves which was the main reason behind the
native facing blood clot issue. Saturn has 10th aspect on Mars, significator for blood in body
The strong support was from the fiery Moon and Sun sign. The native was so strong to fix the
problem with all his determination and consistency. Mars, another fiery planet has aspect on
Moon.
2) 6th lord Venus which is also the lagna lord will give neutral impact. Venus placed in 2nd house
along with 8th lord Jupiter gave this chronic disease to native. The dispositor, Mercury is placed
in lagna. The ultimate dominant element is earth to give strength to native.
3) It is clear from the chart that the disease was acquired in nature. Though it is chronic in nature,
the native is able to manage. The fire and earth element is prominent in the chart with major
planets connected with it. Only Rahu is occupied by water sign and the dispositor of Rahu is
placed in fiery sign to neutralize the impact.
Case -2
Raju Native born on 1st August 1968 – 15.45 pm – at Baroda/Gujarat
The native is suffering from short breath issue. It was a gradual development and inherent in
nature. It started showing up when the native was going through his Sade sati in 2009. Shortness
in breathing is considered a disease of the Moon, Mercury, the Gemini and Cancer signs, and

also Rahu. When there is affliction to these planets or signs in anyways then this problem is
predictable.

Disease occurred in the Dasha period of:

The problem started showing its symptoms during, Saturn dasa, Rahu bhukti - 2011. Saturn
being karaka for choking and Rahu being air element, the native started short breathing.
Gradually, it increased in frequency during his 1nd phase of Sade sati.
Transit Analysis:
2011, Saturn was transiting the 11th house and Rahu in Scorpio. Natal Moon was hemmed
between these two strong malefic planets forming papa Kartari yoga. The native realized
shortness of breathing while, sleeping (12th house). The problem was persistent during the entire
Sade sati period.
Conclusion:
It was inherent disease which came from the birth and the planetary position. The problem
showed up during the time when the planets were weak in transit and dasa was indicative too.
The native had to go through the treatment and wear a mask while sleeping everyday even till
now.
From the chart we can notice:
1. The lagna is Scorpio fixed, water sign, the lagnesh, Mars is in cancer, again a watery sign,
being in debility state. Moon, lord of cancer is badhaka lord for Scorpio lagna. Mars - lagnesh
which is also 6th lord, is in conjunction with 8th and 12th lord, mercury and Venus respectively.

Here both the fiery planets, Mars and Sun are in watery sign. The proportion of water element is
more compare to Fire element. The disease is chronic to an extent that he has to wear the mask
every day to sleep.
Here we need to note that the Gemini sign is in the 8th house and cancer sign is loaded by Mars,
mercury, Venus and Sun.
2. 6th Lord is Mars, lagnesh and placed in cancer, the watery sign aspecting Moon in 12th house.
The native is having short breath while sleeping. Saturn is placed in 6th house aspecting moon in
the 12th house.
Here, Saturn is lord of 3rd and 4th. The breathing issue is connected to 4th house and also to some
extent, 3rd house. Saturn has signification of restricting or choking and in this case, he is limiting
the breath of the native. Saturn also has his 10th aspect on 3rd house and 3rd aspect on the 8th
house. The dispositor of Saturn is Mars which is in debility and placed in watery sign. The
connection of all these is making the native further weak in fighting the diseases. But somehow
Saturn’s aspect on 8th house ensures the longevity.
3. We can conclude from the above that the dominance of water element in the chart is making
the native weak in approach, trying to have easy way to fix the problem. There is lack of
enthusiasm.

2. Analysis of Health through lagnesh and Lagna pada lord.

~ Position of lagna/ Lagna pada lord in the chart determines, how strong the person is to fight a
disease.
Case – 1
Kirit kaka Native born on 8th November 1939 – 17.00 pm – Bhadran, Gujrat
The native is healthy at the age of 80 and there is no major problem with the health. Though with
age he developed urinary tract infection during his mercury dasa but nothing that cannot be
tackled or he has to take medicines on a regular basis. When lagna lord or lagna pada lord is
strong or well placed in the chart without affliction, the person will be resisting any diseases.

Disease occurred in the Dasha period of:

The native started having minor issues related to passing urine since he entered in his 6 th lord
mercury dasa in 2006. At that time, he was at the age of 70. He still has this problem and with
age it is aggravated but he is still by himself and can manage his daily chores without any
problem.
Transit Analysis:
During 2006 – November, when Saturn and Ketu were transiting Leo rashi and 5th house of
native, Rahu was over natal mars, the lagnesh. Saturn aspected the debiliated, Sun and lagnesh,
Mars. Saturn is badhaka for Aries lagna. At that time the dispositor of Saturn and ketu – sun was
transiting the 8th house crossing over natal mercury and Venus.
Conclusion:
The disease was inherent in nature which was by birth in his chart. The native has been always
strong and active. He has Aries lagna and lagna pada lord is ketu. The lagna rashi and pada lord
both has fire element and also the pada lord is positioned in lagna itself in kendra. This helped,
native having strong immune system and strength for fighting the diseases/ challenges in his life.
From the chart we can notice:
1. The lagna is fire sign and lagnesh in 11th house. Saturn, 10th and 11th lord and lagnesh has
parivartan yog with each other. This is the strongest yog for the native to sail through this life
journey with least of troubles. The native never faced major issues in his life.
Lagna pada lord, Ketu is well placed in kendra and that too in lagna has given immense strength
to native to lead a healthy life.
2. The 6th lord mercury is in 8th house along with 7th and 2nd lord Venus. The native was suffering
from urinary track infection. Afflicted Libra and Scorpio sign gives this problem. Debiliated sun
is placed in the 7th house and lord of libra is in 8th house along with 6th lord mercury.
Moon is placed in the 6th house and Virgo sign. This moon is in earthy sign and has Jupiter’s
aspect from the 12th house. Though this has given some expenses to native on his health, it was
taken care by the parivartan yoga of Saturn and mars. Mars – the lagnesh has it’s 8th aspect on the
6th house so in a way, native consciously took care of his health.

3. Being strong lagna and lagna pada made sure for the native to live healthy life. With Venus
and mercury placed in 8th house, did create problem for the native but his own firm attitude,
proper life style and disciplined life helped him to get though everything.
Case – 2
Nilesh bhai Native born on 13th August 1959 – 06.03 am – at Dharmaj, Kheda
The native is not healthy since childhood and throughout his journey of life he is been unwell for
some or the other reasons. There was no major illness to pinpoint but he never stopped taking
medicines for some reasons because of weak immune system. Immune System includes the
organs and processes of the body that provide resistance to infection and toxins. If the lagna and
lagnesh is weak, lagna pada lord is retrograde then it will be difficult for the native to fight the
diseases.

Disease occurred in the Dasha period of:

The native was suffering from weak constitution since the childhood as the native born during
his Saturn dasa. Saturn being retrograde, lord of 7th and 8th house, in 6th house of diseases and
being karaka for diseases have given the native ongoing trouble with fever, cough cold, stomach
issues.
The next dasa of mercury for 17 years also was similar as mercury being lords of 3rd and 12th
house. Here the native developed some skin infection Somehow, he kept treating him with some
medicines but never changes his life style or diet which caused him side effects of the medicines
taken.

Eventually he developed a very weak constitution and is still going on the same way with no
changes.
Transit Analysis:
During his mercury dasa – Saturn antra native has to face skin infection when Saturn was
transiting his lagna over his natal Sun, mercury. Jupiter and Rahu were transiting his second
house over his natal Venus and mars. The native never able to fully recover this. Also, during his
Venus maha dasa and Jupiter/Saturn antra dasa he was diagnosed with diabetes. This was in
2001 when Saturn and Jupiter were transiting his 11th house and rahu ketu were in 6-12 axis.
Conclusion:
From the chart we can notice:
The native was born with weak constitution, inherently. His cancer lagna and lagnesh in 5th
house in debility made him further weak. There was no fighting spirit in him. His lagna pada lord
is mercury which is lord of his 3rd and 12th lord. Retrograde Mercury is placed in the lagna along
with sun in a watery sign cancer. Mercury is not very comfortable in cancer sign. The native
faced 17 years of mercury dasa in early stage of his life.
1. The native was born with three planets retrograde in his chart. Somehow, he could not come
out from the illness and one illness followed by another. His lagna was weak with 3rd and 12th
lord retrograding in the lagna. Mercury is also happened to be his lagna pada lord. Sun placed in
the lagna gave him karako bhav nashaya yog. Sun a fiery planet in water sign gave him no
benefit.
2. 6th house lord is Jupiter in the enemy sign in 4th house of Libra and lord Venus is also badhaka
lord for Cancer lagna. Venus is retrograde here too. Retrograde Saturn is placed there which is
lord of 7th and 8th house. Saturn is also aspecting 8th house of chronic diseases and rahu in the 3rd
house. Rahu is placed in the sign of Virgo, natural 6th house rashi. Lord of this is mercury which
is retro and placed in the lagna. Mercury is lagna pada lord, making lagna weak.
3. We can conclude from the above that, lagna and lagna pada lord is not helping in any way to
native to be strong. Three retrograde planet, weak moon and the dasa series is adding in the fuel
to make the native become sickly person.

3. Analysis of Health through Sun and Mars, the energy/Urja giving planet to the body.
~ Sun and Mars give vigor and vitality to fight the diseases. Unaffiliated Sun and Mars in the
chart ensures good immune system for the native.
Case – 1
Piyush Bhai Native born on 15th August 1961 – 00.23 am – Dharmaj, Kheda

The native developed mental disorders and the significant planet to is moon and mercury along
with Rahu. Moon signifies mind and Mercury stands for logic and intellect. Jupiter is seen for
maturity and wisdom. If these three planets are afflicted in the horoscope, chances of mental
illness may increase. The 5th house of the horoscope has a special role to play in
judging mental disorders. If Sun and Mars, the energy giving planets are weak or afflicted or any
how badly influenced in horoscope, it gives the native very weak immune system.

Disease occurred in the Dasha period of:

It was a gradual development. The native lost his father very early in his childhood during his
Rahu dasa and then there was kindly of restlessness stated since then. It was his Rahu dasha that
time. The actual change happened in the Jupiter dasha when he entered into his Jupiter/Saturn
and Jupiter/Mercury, his mental disorder started showing up.
The native never recovered from this. His aggression and attitude never allowed anyone to direct
him towards recovery. By his Jupiter/Rahu in 2012 he was sent to rehab center for recovery and
the native was there for nearly 3 years. He came out of rehab starting his Saturn dasa but the
native is not completely recovered. He also developed diabetes and it is just going further down
with no scope of recovery.
Transit Analysis:
The native lost his father in 1985 during his Rahu/Jupiter dasa. Gradually the symptoms showed
up but no one took it seriously. But it was getting worse day by day. In 2004, during
Jupiter/Mercury dasa, when Jupiter was transiting through Leo and over natal Rahu, the

disorders were not controllable but he never listens to anyone and never took any medication to
recover. Saturn was transiting his 2nd house and Rahu Ketu in 6-12 axis.
In 2012 when Jupiter was in lagna along with Ketu-Rahu in 1-7 axis, at his peak Sade sati, he
was forcefully sent to rehab center for treatment but his stubborn mind never recovered. In 2015,
When native entered his Saturn dasa, Saturn was transiting through Libra, Jupiter in Cancer and
Rahu-Ketu in 5-11 axis he came out from rehab with little confidence and more fear to go back
there again so he behaved well. Till date he is staying alone and no much activity.
Conclusion:
From the chart we can notice:
The native got this disorder inherently and the circumstances gave its fuel. His actions- Mars
were not being supportive to recovery and his soul-conscious was not enough to guide him for
his own good. The fire element in the chart was missing, the native couldn’t do anything,
consciously or with action.
1. Lagna is Taurus, fixed and earth which gave him stubborn attitude. Lagnesh, Moon, Mars and
Venus in dual sign. Sun though in 3rd house and friendly sign, aspected by 8th lord, debiliated
Jupiter and Saturn. Sun is tightly conjunct Mercury and it is completely combusted.
In this case lagna, Moon, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn are in Sun’s nakshatra. Sun/Mercury both
being conjunct, degreecally are atma karaka as well. Here, Moon and Mercury has exchange.
Moon and mars are tightly conjunct too. Sun’s position matters a lot for giving results. Sun is in
Ashlesha, mercury’s nakshatra and mercury is combusted. The planets are intervened in such a
way that the native couldn’t act on anything. Jupiter (wisdom and maturity) being 8th lord and
retrograde, in conjunction with Saturn is not helping anyway.
2. 6th lord Venus is also lagnesh in this chart and 6th house has aspect of retrograde Saturn. Saturn
is badhaka lord for Taurus lagna. The dispositor of Venus is mercury and again the entire
connection as mentioned above is in a way affecting the 6th lord and the lagnesh as well. Being
lagnesh and 6th lord, Venus do not have strength to carry forward. Also, the 5th house of
intelligence was damaged by 12th lord placed there.
3. We can round off this chart being with less soul in it since Sun is weak and Mars getting too
logical, getting in more of thought process and less of action. Mars is also in an enemy sign.

Case -2
Prajakta’s mom Native born on 8th April 1950 – 10.00 am – at Ratnagiri
The native was having heart problems and had to go through bypass surgery. Planets Moon and
the Sun are the main planets and Mars is also added to the list since it denotes blood. So, in

general the strength, afflictions and aspects on these planets lead to indications of heart disease.
Saturn and ketu will be blocking anything they touch.

Disease occurred in the Dasha period of:

The problem started in the year 2009 and dasa was Rahu/Venus. Rahu being 8th from the 4th
house and Venus the lord of 1st and 6th is aspecting the 4th house. 4th house being main
significator of heart and sign being Leo there with Saturn placed. This made sure that the native
would have problem related to heart.
Transit Analysis:
In 2009, Jupiter was in Kumbha over natal Venus and Jupiter, Saturn was transiting over natal
Saturn; Rahu Ketu were in 3-9 axis
Conclusion:
From the chart we can notice:
The native started having chest pain during Rahu dasa but she has been always strong and
determined. Taurus is a fix and earthy sign. The endurance power is good for the native. There
were no major issues with her health, so she took it lightly.
1. Eventually, during Rahu/Venus she was diagnosed with blockages in heart. It is Taurus lagna
with Sagittarius Moon in the 8th house. Sun in 11th house along with Rahu. The dispositor of Sun
and Moon is Jupiter, placed in 10th house along with Lagnesh Venus which is happened to be 1st
and 6th house lord. Saturn, the dispositor of Venus and Jupiter has an aspect on them. Saturn is
also Badhaka lord for Taurus lagna. The planets are intervened among each other and related

with each other with some connection. Mars and Sun too have mutual aspect. Lagna and moon
rashi lord being in Kendra has given lot of strength to the native. Though, Sun is placed in water
sign and Mars in earthy sign, their dispositors are in fire signs which has provided them with
strength.
2. 6th lord is also lagnesh which will neutralize the impact of affliction of 6th house and also it is
placed in kendra
3. The native with her strength get through the surgery and after that she started taking proper
precautions. Sun and Mars’s mutual aspect and their strength has helped her to remain
unbeatable. Right now, she is living a healthy and happy life.

4. Analyzing the health through 6th house and its lord with its element, position and
connection with Sun and Mars.
~ When the 6th house and its lord is connected with watery sign, making connection with 6, 8, 12
houses and their lord or connecting with weak Sun and Mars, makes the native weak in health.
Case – 1
Mukesh mama Native born on 6th January 1953 – 07.16 am – at Calcutta
The native had bypass surgery and brain stroke followed by paralysis during his Jupiter and
Rahu dasa. Affliction to Lagna (Ascendant), Sun, Moon and Mercury are the reasons behind
brain stroke and paralysis.

Disease occurred in the Dasha period of:

The native had heart attack during his Jupiter/ Rahu dasa in 2009 and also another brain stroke
and an effect of paralysis during his Saturn/ Mercury dasa in 2014.
Transit Analysis:
In 2009, Rahu was transiting over natal Rahu in the lagna when the native had his first heart
attack and had to go through the by pass surgery. Native was also going through his 2nd phase
Sade sati where his Saturn was transiting over his natal Moon in the 8th house. And Jupiter was
transiting over Venus and Mars in the 2nd house, aspecting his moon and transiting Saturn. His
life changed after this. Mars is a badhaka planet in Capricorn ascendant placed with yoga karaka
planet Venus.
The second time he had brain stroke in 2014 when Saturn was transiting over his natal Saturn
and Rahu was also transiting with Saturn. Ketu was over his natal Jupiter and transiting Jupiter
was in the 6th house.
Conclusion:
From the chart we can notice:
The disease was inherent in nature and got it by birth with the planetary position. Native lived a
very normal disciplined life. Native has Capricorn lagna with exalted Saturn placed in the 10 th
house. It is earthy lagna and fiery Moon sign with Jupiter’s aspect. His 6th lord Mercury is placed
with 8th lord in the 12th house in a fire sign again aspecting own house.
1. Though the native went through major problems with his health, he was fighting with the
diseases strongly. Twice in native’s life he had gone through tough challenges with his health but
he faced them with utter strength and took all the necessary precautions in a very well-organized
way. The lagnesh is in kendra with exaltation and lagna pada lord Sun being 8th lord, placed in
12th in a fiery sign making veeprit raj yoga is also strong.
2. 6th lord is Mercury placed in 12th and aspecting his own house. Mercury is also placed in fiery
sign making it strong to tackle the disease. Jupiter, the 3rd and 12th lord is aspecting Sun, Moon,
Mercury and Saturn from the 4th house.
3. With all the placement and inter connections of planets, the native went through major issues
but also lived them all with courage and self-efforts. There is dominance of fire element in the
chart. All kendra houses has planets. So, the native never gave up or lacked enthusiasm to fight
the diseases.
Case – 2
Nainesh Kumar Native born on 5th December 1957 – 18.58 pm – Sojitra, Gujarat
The native had diabetes in hereditary though was under medication, his lifestyle was not
disciplined. The native had to go through several hospitalization for stabilizing his diabetes. The
major cause of diabetes is related to Jupiter and Venus in the chart. The weak and afflicted
Jupiter and Venus, it’s connection with 6th - 8th house, lagna and the afflicted dispositors played
major role in causing uncurable diabetes.

Disease occurred in the Dasha period of:

The native had his issues with infection in his legs in 2012, during his Jupiter/Rahu dasa and the
problem sustained for some 6-8 months’ time. He was hospitalized for the same in 2013 during
his Jupiter/Venus dasa. Native had to go through long treatment.
Transit Analysis:
In 2012, Jupiter was transiting his 12th house, in Taurus, Saturn was in 4th house, Virgo about to
transit in Libra where native has his Jupiter, mars, rahu. Saturn has aspect on natal mercury, the
lagnesh. Rahu ketu were transiting in 6/12 axis and ketu was transiting over natal Saturn and sun.
Conclusion:
From the chart we can notice:
The native was born with some inherent diseases and gradually it increased. The lifestyle of
native was not compatible to what was required, though he tried his best but he just could not.
There was no active life. He was under medication but that was not enough to fight the disease.
1. The native has dual sign lagna and lagnesh mercury is in enemy sign, aspecting the lagna,
could help the native much as it was another dual sign. Lagna pada lord also not strong and is
placed in 5th house along with Rahu. There is no strength in lagna. The Sun, though in 6th house
is with Saturn and in watery sign which makes it weak again the dispositor of both is Mars in 5th
house with Rahu. Mars in air sign along with airy planet rahu is not giving strength and rather
making the native inactive.

2. 6th house lord mars is weakly placed in 5th house along with rahu. Saturn is placed with sun
who is an enemy. It is a watery sign and both the planets are not comfortable in and with each
other.
3. We can conclude that though the lagnesh, and the moon along with ketu are placed in fiery
sign, their dispositor is afflicted and not giving strength to the native. The native couldn’t help
himself more then taking medicines. Mainly, the dispositor of mars, rahu and Jupiter is placed in
8th house. Jupiter is badhaka lord in Geminin ascendant gave no relief to the native. The
movement of planets is just happening between 5th ,6th ,7th and 8th house only.
