Unit 1:
1. My hobbies include reading, learning new languages and I am curently learning how to play
the piano. Beside that, I'm also exploring and trying my hand at digital art.
2. My habits vary throughout the day. I regularly read information to stay updated. I also spend
time exercising and practicing mindfulness to stay healthy and focused.
3. I would like to live a long and fulfilling life, ideally reaching a ripe old age.I think a long life
would be appealing if it's filled with purpose, good health, and opportunities to learn and grow.
4. To have a long healthy life, it's important to maintain a balanced diet, stay active, manage
stress and get enough sleep. Beside that, you need avoid harmful habits like smoking and
excessive drinking.You should check-ups regular medical and stay socially connected are also
crucial.
5. I try to spend at least an hour outdoors every day, engaging in activities like walking, jogging,
or simply enjoying nature . Because I think outdoor also provides opportunities for relaxation,
stress reduction, and Vitamin D absorption from sunlight, which are important for maintaining
good health.
6. I don’t think I have a healthy lifestyle. Because I often stay up late, wake up early as well as
have an unhealthy and irregular diet. I know these things are extremly harmful to my body.
Therefore, I’m trying to modify this life style to have a heathier lifestyle.
Unit 2:
1. I have never participated in any specific sports competition. The main reason is because I
often do not have enough time or opportunity to participate, and focus a lot on studying and other
work.
2. In my country, some of the most popular sports are soccer, basketball, and swimming. Football
and basketball are popular because they are team sports, highly communal, and have a long
history in the country's sports culture. On the other hand, swimming is popular because of the
abundance of sea water and the need for exercise.
3. My favorite sport is football. The rules of soccer are quite simple: two teams try to score goals
into the other team's net using their feet or head (except the goalkeeper), avoiding the opponent
scoring against them. The game is divided into two halves, each lasting 45 minutes, with a break
in between.
4. When you go to our university, you mustn't bring the food from outside. At the same time,
when the instructor is teaching, you can't use your phone in class. Beside that, you must go to
school on time to show your respect for instructor and you can ask the instructor again if you
don't understand the lesson so you also don't have to record it.
5. Competitive sports at school are often encouraged because they help students develop
leadership skills, team cooperation, and overall physical fitness. Additionally, it provides
students with a platform for personal growth and achievement, as well as creating a sense of
school spirit and community.
6. Reasons against competitive sports may include time pressures and academic work. There is
also sometimes a concern about injury from participating in competitive sports activities. .
However, with proper supervision and balance, these problems can be minimized. In addition,
schools are also trying to balance academic and sports activities so that students can develop
comprehensively.
Unit 3:
1. I don't often use public transportation, but I know that their advantage is cost savings because
public transportation is often cheaper than owning and maintaining a personal vehicle. At the
same time, by taking cars off the road, public transportation helps reduce traffic congestion.
However, disadvantages of public transportation can include lack of flexibility in travel because
public transportation schedules may not always align with personal schedules, requiring waiting
time.
2. Motorcycles are popular in Vietnam because of their flexibility and ability to move easily in
the alleys and narrow streets of big cities. Additionally, motorcycles consume less fuel than cars,
which is beneficial in a country where fuel prices can fluctuate.
3. In my city, common types of transportation include cars, buses, motorbikes and bicycles. Cars
are often used for long or crowded trips. Buses are the main public means of moving around the
city. Motorbikes and bicycles are popular due to their convenience and flexibility for short trips.
4. Commuters in my country often depend on motorbikes or personal cars to get to work.
Compared to many other countries, travel time can be longer due to traffic congestion in big
cities.
5. Traffic in my city faces many problems such as long congestion, air pollution, and the risk of
traffic accidents due to narrow roads. Traffic law violations are also a common problem that
causes risks to road users.
6. My favorite means of transportation is bicycle. I like bicycles because it is an environmentally
friendly means of transport that helps me exercise and relax while traveling in the city. In
addition, cycling also helps me stay healthy and feel closer to the city.
