Head:
Crocheted from front of nose to back of head
Starting with Color C:
1. Make 6 sc into a magic ring= 6
2. Increase in each st around= 12
3. (sc, inc) x 6= 18
4. (2 sc, inc) x 6= 24
5. (3 sc, inc) x 6= 30
6-9. sc in each st around

10. (2 sc, inc) x 6, 12 sc= 36
11. (3 sc, inc) x 6, 12 sc= 42
12-16. sc in each st around
Place nose between rounds 4 and 5 in between the eyes. Place eyes between rows 10 and 11,
leaving 9 holes between them. 1st eye is placed after the 2nd increase. Count 9 holes after the
first eye and place the 2nd eye. If you want the sunken eye look, do not place the backs of the
eyes on until row 19.
TIP! You may have to adjust the eye placement depending on yarn and hook size you use.
17. (5 sc, dec) x 6= 36
18. (4 sc, dec) x 6= 30
19. (3 sc, dec) x 6= 24
Now for the eyes. Stuff the head well. Cut a long piece of yarn and remove the eyes. Place the
needle in the hole where the first eye was and thread the needle into a hole next to the eye
hole. Go back and forth between each eye hole repeating the process from the first eye. Pull
slightly on the yarn after going through each hole. Do this about 3 times on each side until you
reach the look you want. Follow the pictures for help. There is also a youtube video I have for
extra help on this process.

To place the backs of the eyes you will need to remove most of the stuffing to place the
washers on the eyes then re stuff it.
20. (2 sc, dec) x 6= 18
21. (sc, dec) x 6= 12
22. dec x 6= 6

Assembly

Head and Body:

1. Pin the head to the body for extra support. You may need to add more stuffing as you
sew.
2. Sew the head onto the body.

Sweet Oddity Art 7

Arms:
1. Pin the arms onto the side of the body underneath the neck. Position them in
a forward angle. There are no particular rounds I place these on, I try to judge
where they look the best.
2. Sew the arms onto the body.

Legs:
1. Turn the body upside down with the nose facing away from you.
2. Pin the legs approximately between rounds 3 and 4.
3. Sew the legs onto the body.

Sweet Oddity Art 8

Ears:
1. Pin the short ears approximately between rounds 15 and 16 on the top of the head.
Pin the long ears approximately between rounds 15 and 18 on the side of the head.
2. Sew the ears onto the head.

Sweet Oddity Art 9

Eyes:
1. Cut a medium length size of white yarn. Thread your needle with the white yarn.
2. Insert your needle anywhere into the side of the head.
3. Bring the needle out to a hole under the eye. Insert the needle into a hole on top of
the eye. Bring the needle to a hole on the oppsite side of the head. You may need to
pull the yarn a little to make the yarn sit underneath the eye. If you need to, take a pair
of scissors and shove the yarn slowly under the eye, leaving some of the white yarn to
be seen.
4. Repeat for the 2nd eye.
5. Weave in the yarn tails.

Sweet Oddity Art 10

Tail:

2. Sew the tail onto the body.

Helpful Tips:
Exact Colors and Brand of Yarn Used:
1. Pink: I love this yarn Pink
2. Brown: Red Heart Coffee
3. Cream: Big Twist Cream
4. Teal: Red Heart Real Teal

You can use different eye and nose sizes. You might have to adjust the placements if you
change the sizes.

You can use different hook sizes and weights of yarn. It will just change the size of your dog
and you might need to adjust eye and nose placement.

How you stuff matters! The type of stuffing you use, how you stuff, all this matters on how your
dog turns out. I prefer Polyfil stuffing but you can use other types.

Additional Information
Working on the opposite side of the chain:

This is an example picture!

Start by creating your foundation chain. The amount of chains will be given in your pattern.
Work the stitches given across the chain. Now, turn your work upside down into the remaining
back loops of the chain stitches. Work the next stitches into the back chains across. When you
are finished, the last stitch you made will be next to your first stitch.

*The number of stitches you make on one side of the chain should be the same amount on the
opposite side of the chain. Depending on what you are making you may join the end of your
round to the beginning with a slip stitch, or you may continue crocheting in a spiral fashion. If
you are to join this will be indicated in the pattern you are making.*
