The Craft-N-Code Hackathon,
organized by the Tech Society
at IIIT Bhubaneswar, is a major
competition involving colleges
across India and beyond. This
year, the event features
hackathons in different states,
with top teams advancing to
the final round at IIIT
Bhubaneswar.
Open to all bachelor’s
degree students, teams of
2-4 members from the same
state compete to showcase
their innovation and
technical skills.
ABOUT US
The final 24-hour hackathon challenges
participants to develop original projects and
impress judges with creativity, practicality,
and presentation. Travel reimbursement and
meals are provided for the final round. Don’t

QUESTIONARRE
1. What is the CraftNCode Hackathon?
The CraftNCode Hackathon is a national flagship event organized by
the Tech Society at IIIT Bhubaneswar, in collaboration with colleges
across India. It is a part of the annual D3 techno-management fest IIIT
BBSR.
2. Who can participate in the CraftNCode Hackathon?
The hackathon is open to all students pursuing bachelor’s and Master’s
degrees. Participants must compete in the preliminary round in their
respective states.
3. How do I register for the hackathon?
Participants can register through the provided registration portal. Make
sure to check your state’s registration deadline.
4. Can I participate as an individual?
No, individual participation is not allowed. Teams must consist of 2 to 4
members. Team members can be from different colleges but must
belong to the same state.
5. When does the hackathon start?
The first round for Odisha starts on September 30, 2024, and ends on
October 31, 2024. Check the start and end dates for other states before
registering.
6. What is the structure of the hackathon?
The hackathon has two phases. The preliminary round takes place in
each state, and the top 2 teams will qualify for the final round at IIIT
Bhubaneswar, which will be a 24-hour offline event starting on
November 8, 2024, at 10:00 PM.
7. What is the last date for registration and idea
submission?
For Odisha, the last date to register is October 28, 2024, and the last
date for idea submission is October 30, 2024. Ensure you complete
your registration before the deadline in your respective state given
on Unstop.
8. How will the projects be judged?
Projects will be evaluated based on creativity, technical complexity,
practicality, and overall presentation. The judges’ decisions are final.
9. What are the rules regarding the project?
All projects must be original and developed during the 24-hour
hackathon. Using pre-existing projects or pre-written code may
result in disqualification. Teams must push updates to their GitHub
repositories every 3 hours.
10. What technology stack can we use?
Participants are free to use any programming languages,
frameworks, or tools, preferably open-source. It’s recommended to
disclose the technology stack used in the project.
11. Where will the final round be held?
The final round will be held offline at IIIT Bhubaneswar.
