1) What Are the Core Concepts and Theories You've Mastered?
- Mastering the core concepts and theories in the construction industry, such as building construction, heavy
infrastructure construction, and pre-construction activities, has been a valuable and enriching experience. Through this
journey, I also learned how to compute crucial parameters like CMP, CPR and the finesse modulus, which are essential
for the successful execution and evaluation of construction projects. However, this learning process was not without its
challenges, each of which required persistence, problem-solving, and a proactive approach to overcome.
2) What New Skills or Techniques Have You Developed?
- I have developed critical thinking skills on how to memorize different formulas and terms that we need to study. Also I
have learned to study very well because this subject requires mostly computing about different aggregates.
3) What Challenges Did You Encounter, and How Did You Overcome Them?
- I have encountered challenges like not being able to solve different problems, wrong computations and not being able
to memorize the terms. I overcame this by studying well and studying late at night to master the techniques in solving
different problems.
4) How Will Your Learning Benefit Your Future Career as a Civil Engineer?
- It will help with the knowledge to select the most suitable materials for specific construction projects, ensuring
durability and safety. Additionally, it will enable you to perform tests that assess the quality and performance of
materials, which is crucial for maintaining structural integrity and meeting industry standards as a civil engineer.
