Abbreviation
ch = chain
mr = magic ring
sc = single crochet stitch
dc = double crochet stitch
hdc = half double crochet stitch
sl = slip stitch
inc = increase-make two single crochet stitches in the same stitch
dec = invisible decrease-crochet two stitches together using the decrease method
FLO = front loop only
BLO = back loop only
[…] x – repeat the instruction in brackets […] for x times

Yarns
For this pattern was used Arelan Kotek yarn (100% acrylic, meterage: 300 m, yarn ball
weight: 100 g).
Notes for following my patterns
- Work in spirals. Do not join, slip stitch or turn unless otherwise stated in the
pattern.
- Use a stitch marker in the beginning of each round. This will help to mark the first stitch
of every round.
- The dimensions can vary due to your tension, the hook that you used and the yarn that
you used! You can make it bigger or smaller if You change Your hook size or Your yarn!

Body:
1) mr, 6 sc =6
2) inc x 6 = 12
3) (1 sc, inc) x 6 = 18

Tentacles:
use the same color as body
1) (ch 22, sl in 2nd and 3rd ch from hook, sc in next 5 ch, hdc in next 7 ch, dc in next 7 ch,
skip a st at the body base and sl in next st) x 8
F/O and leave a long tail for sewing.
Bottom:
use the same color as body
1) mr, 8 sc =8
2) inc x 8 = 16
F/O and leave a long tail for sewing bottom to body.
Eyes (make 2):
use white color
1) mr, 6 sc =6
2) 6 sc =6
F/O and leave a long tail for sewing. Make horizontal pupils with black yarn.
Sew them at bottom of the body.
Eyelids (make 2):
use the same color as body
1) ch 7, sl in 2nd ch from hook, 4 sc, sl
F/O and leave a long tail for sewing. Sew them above eyes.
You can just leave Your judgmental octopus like this.
You can add key chain.
But You can also make it a fantastic hat! Here You have
some propositions:

F/O and leave a long tail for sewing. Sew the chain around the helmet, one on the
bottom and one 2 rows above.
Horn – make 2
use white color
1) ch 7, sc in 2nd ch from hook, 5 sc, ch 1 turn =6
2) 6 sc, ch 1 turn =6
3) 6 sc =6
F/O and leave a long tail for sewing. When You finish crocheting horns, you must
fold it in half and sew. Sew horn on row 4 row.
Chain for horn – make 2

Chain on the helmet

F/O and leave a long tail for sewing. Sew the chain around the top hat.
Broom:
use brown color
1) ch 12, sc in 2nd ch from hook, 10 sc, ch 1 turn = 11
2) sc 12, ch 1 turn = 11
3) sc 12 = 11
F/O and leave a long tail for sewing. When You finish, you must
fold it in half and sew. Take gray color and fold it few times
around Yours tree fingers, fold yard few times. You will have
small tassel. Grab your stick and put it in the middle of gray
tassel. Tie it with brown yarn. Now You will be trimming gray
part to make it wright shape.
Ax:
It is made of three pieces of felt. One is the blade, the other two make up the handle. Cut
out all the parts. Fold the whole thing like a sandwich in order: first handle, blade, second
handle. Glue or sew all parts together.
Sunglasses:
It made of three pieces of felt. One is the front, the other two make up sides. Cut out all the
parts. Glue or sew all parts together, remember that the side parts must be perpendicular
to the front part (at the end they must be shaped as “U”).
