Guidelines for Talent Show

Talent Guidelines
Video Editing • Define the goal of the video before you start editing. Are you telling a
Year 8-10 story, teaching something, or promoting a product?
2-3 mins • Mix short, medium, and long shots to give a dynamic flow to the video.
• If you're editing to music, cutting scenes on the beat can enhance the
rhythm and feel of the video.
• Keep your cuts clean, especially when switching perspectives.
Continuity keeps the audience immersed.

Monologue • Pick a monologue that resonates with you personally or emotionally


Year 7-9 • Memorize the monologue

Arabic Calligraphy Art • Theme – Nature, Quranic verses, names of Allah, Hadiths

• Participants may enter dishes in the following categories:
• Main Course: A hearty meal made using fireless cooking techniques.
• Dessert: Sweet treats prepared with minimal or no heat.
• Snacks/Side Dishes: Quick, easy, and delicious snacks that don’t
require cooking on flame.
• Pre-cooked or pre-heated ingredients are not allowed unless they
were prepared without direct flame or fire.
• Each participant/team will have a total of [insert time limit] to
prepare their dish.
• The first [insert time limit] minutes will be used for preparing,
assembling, and heating (if necessary).
• The remaining time is for finishing, presentation, and explaining the
dish to the judges.
• Participants are allowed to bring their own cooking equipment, but it
must be fireless (e.g., thermal cookers, solar ovens, etc.).
• All materials and cooking tools should be safe and suitable for use
without direct flame.
• All participants should ensure that their cooking methods are
environmentally conscious.
