different
colors of cards, and I will
choose one of you to pick
one color. And the person
who is wearing the same
color with the card chosen
will answer the question in
defining what is a dessert
and have to give what is

importance of tools and
equipments in dessert

equipments used in
Dessert Making.
 Tools and equipment used
in Dessert making:
1. Measuring cup and
spoon
- In a measuring cup, we
have the liquid and dry
measuring cup, either
made up of plastic or glass,
and used for measuring
ingredients with small
quantity.
2. Mixing bowl
- It is were you mix the
ingredient. Comes in
different sizes, small,
medium or large.
3. Can opener
- Used to open food
containers
4. Cutting board
- A wooden or plastic where
fruits and vegetables are
cut
5. Double boiler
- Used when temperatures
must be kept low below
boiling such as chocolates
to keep foods warm
without overcooking
6. Kitchen knives
- Often reffered to as
cook’s or chef’s knife. For
cutting or peeling
vegetables
7. Rubber scraper
- A rubber silicone tools
used to blend or scrape the
food from the bowl
8. Wire whisk
- Used For whipping eggs
or batter
9. Wooden spoons
- Made from hard wood and
used for stirring or
mixing ingredients.
10. Baking pan
- Examples are loaf pan,
cake pan, muffin pan,
baking sheets . pans used
in baking.
Equipment :
1. Refrigerators/freezers:
- Necessary for preventing
bacterial infections from
food
- For chilling/freezing foods
to keep them cold
2. Range
- Used for cooking food.
Either electric or gas
3. Mixers
- Used for mixing,
creaming, and beating, or
whipping ingredients. Has
three attachments, the
whisk, paddles and the
hook with three different
functions.
4. Blenders
- Used to puree ingredients
and liquefy all kinds of
