A RESOLUTION EARNESTLY AND RESPECTFULLY REQUESTING DEPARTMENT
OF BUDGET AND MANAGEMENT, BEREAU OF LOCAL GOVERNMENT FINANCE,
DEPARTMENT OF INTERIOR AND LOCAL GOVERNMENT, AND LOCAL WATER
UTILITIES ADMINISTRATION TO ALLOCATE BUDGET FOR HOUSING PROJECT
AND LIVELIHOOD PROGRAM OF THE PUROK ROXAS, BARANGAY ESPERANZA,
CITY OF KORONADAL, PROVINCE OF SOUTH COTABATO.
WHEREAS, Barangay Esperanza is among the few localities situated flood-catchment
areas of the city, it being traversed by waterway or the river. In addition, the aforementioned
purok massive suffered flooding and wide area for landslide;
WHEREAS, to protect the residents of the barangay, relocation must be implemented
through the housing project and livelihood program for the Indigenous community to begin
living away from the area prior.;
WHEREAS, in case situation like typhoon, flooding and other natural and man-made
disasters the aforementioned project and program will strengthen the Barangays Institutional
Capacity for Disaster Risk Reduction and Management and economic stability of the indigenous
residents of the barangay;
WHEREAS, much to the desire of the local government to implement the said project, it
would not be feasible as yet due to financial constraints to cover the expenses therefor, hence, the
need for funding assistance from the National Government;
WHEREAS, the Sangguniang Barangay Resolution No.9 Series of 2024, has been
approved with all of the member of Sanggunian last February 05,2024;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, premises considered, and motioned by Hon.
Edryl Jhon Mark B. Bustos, duly seconded;
RESOLVED FURTHER, that this Sanggunian, acting on the favorable recommendation of the
Sangguniang Kabataan Chairperson, hereby requests the Honorable Atty. Eliordo U. Ogena, City
Mayor of the Koronadal City to approve the request of the Sangguanian Barangay of Esperanza
to the Department of Budget and Management , Bureau of Local Government Finance,
Department of Interior, Local Government and Local Water Utilities Administration to allocate
budget for three million (php 3,000,000.00) worth of flood control in the Barangay Esperanza
City of Koronadal.
FINALLY RESOLVED, that this resolution shall take effect immediately upon its approval.
APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY, this 5th day of February, 2024, during a regular session of the
Barangay Council held at Barangay Hall, Esperanza.
