                                        LEARNING OBJECTIVES
     M     At the end of the lesson, most pupils will be able to predict words (classroom objects) they will
           hear.
     C     At the end of the lesson, most pupils will be able to listen and understand basic classroom
           instructions by drawing classroom objects.
                             1. Divide pupils into pairs.
                             2. Tell one pupil in the pair to look at the board, and the other pupil to cover
                                their eyes.
                             3. Write one topic word on the board, give pupils 5 seconds or so to
                                remember it, and then rub the word off the board.
I.   PRE-LESSON              4. Tell pupils who did not see the board to stand with their back to their
                                partner while the partner writes the word on their back by using their
                                finger.
                             5. Each pupil works out what word his/her partner is writing.
                             6. Reverse the roles so that each pupil gets the chance to write.
                             7. Repeat for other words.
                             1. Tell pupils that you‘ll ask them to draw some classroom objects.
                             2. Elicit their predictions of target language.
                             3. Give a picture dictation of 3 or 4 objects, pausing in between each object.
II. LESSON                   4. Include classroom objects, colours and numbers (e.g. Draw a red pencil
DEVELOPMENT                     case…. Now draw 2 blue rulers).
                             5. Pupils compare and name objects.
                             6. In pairs pupils take turns to do a picture dictation of 3 objects with each
                                other.
                             1. Show picture cards and describe the objects.
III. POST LESSON             2. Pupils listen and identify any incorrect descriptions.
                             3. If any, ask pupils to correct the mistakes.
