Braids:
Cut 12 Limelight and 12 white 20’’ pieces of yarn. There should be 6 of each color for each side.
Pull the 12 strands through an earflap, split into three sections of mixed color, braid, and tie off. Repeat
on the other side.
Monster Eye:
Newborn, 0-3, 3-6, 6-12
1) In Black, Magic Circle, 10 sc in the circle, Sl St into first sc (10 sc)

Pom-Pom:
Take Turquoise, Limelight, and orange, and wrap 50 times. To learn how to make a pom-pom, I
use the following site: http://www.wikihow.com/Make-a-Pom-Pom. There are also tons of
youtube videos to show you how to do it. Attach pom-pom to top of the monster hat.
Monster teeth:
Newborn, 0-3, 3-6, 6-12
1) Attach White yarn using a sl st, Ch1 (Counts as first sc here and throughout the teeth
instructions), 1 sc in next 2 sts, turn (3 sc)
2) Ch1, sc2tog, turn (2 sc)
3) Sc2tog (1 sc)
Do this across the front (between the earflaps) as many times as will fit with a sc in between each
tooth. I make three teeth.
Toddler, Child, Preteen, Teen, Adult
1) Attach White yarn using a sl st, Ch1 (Counts as first sc here and throughout the teeth
instructions), 1 sc in next 2 sts, turn (3 sc)
2) Ch1, sc2tog, turn (2 sc)
3) Sc2tog (1 sc)
Do this across the front (between the earflaps) as many times as will fit with a sc in between
each tooth. I make three teeth.
