Step-by-Step Breakdown of leg
Making a Pair of Legs (First Pair)
1. R1: magic ring, 8 sc
Start with a magic ring and make 8 single crochet stitches into
it. By the end of this round, you’ll have 8 stitches in total.
2. R2: 8 inc
In this round, make 1 increase (2 single crochets) in each
stitch around. This will double your stitch count to 16 stitches.
3. R3: BLO, 16 sc
Crochet 16 single crochets, working in the back loop only
(BLO) of each stitch. This creates a bit of a ridge that helps
shape the leg.
4. R4–R5: 16 sc
Crochet 16 single crochet stitches in each of these two
rounds. This maintains the shape and size of the leg without
increasing or decreasing.
5. Finishing the First Leg in the Pair
Do not fasten off after completing R5. Set this leg aside for
now and make a second leg using the same steps from R1 to
R5.
Joining Two Legs Together (First Pair)
1. R6: 1 ch, connect the two legs: (16 sc, inc) x 2
With the second leg still attached to the working yarn, chain 1.
This chain will bridge the small gap between the legs.
Now, align the two legs next to each other, ready to crochet
around both of them in a single round.
Working around the first leg:
Crochet 16 single crochets around the circumference of
the first leg.
Then, make 1 increase (2 single crochets in the next
stitch).
Working around the second leg:
Continue crocheting 16 single crochets around the
circumference of the second leg.
Make another increase here (2 single crochets in the next
stitch).
This round joins the two legs into one piece with a total of 36
stitches (16 + 1 increase + 16 + 1 increase + 2 stitches from
the chain).
Creating the Second Pair of Legs (Right Side)
1. Repeat Steps 1–5 to make the second pair of legs on the right
side of the horse.
2. After joining this second pair in R6 using the same method, you
will have two pairs of connected legs: one pair for the left side and
one pair for the right side.
Joining the Left and Right Side Pairs
Once you have both pairs of legs, the next step in most patterns
would be to connect these pairs, forming the base for the horse's
body.
1.Prepare the Pony's Legs (x2) 2.Attach body and legs

X = single crochet

3.Assemble as shown in the 4.Crochet front loops only on

diagram the R3
5.Finish Outer Loop Attachment:
After crocheting through the outer
loops, connect them properly.

6.Skip 10 stitches in R12.

7.Stitch the back opening together.

8.After Sewing, Pull the Front

Chest and Back (Butt) Inwards:
Pinch and secure the protruding
parts on the chest and back by
making a stitch inward.
9.Create the Eye Indentation: Pull the stitches around the eyes to
create an indentation.
10.Ear Construction: Stop crocheting after R6 of the ear, fold it as
shown in the diagram, and when sewing, place the longer side on the
outside.

11.Sew the Head: Attach the head in the indicated position.

12.Join the Two Legs: For the final leg stitch, crochet a slip stitch in
the last chain stitch, then slip stitch to the first stitch. For the first four
rounds of the body, the first stitch will always be a slip stitch.

X = single crochet
V = increase
SL = lip stitch

13.Fifth Round of the Body: Skip the previous slip stitch and slip stitch
directly into the first stitch of the round.
14.Attach the Arms: Connect the arms and join them to the body as
you crochet.

15.R12 of the Body: In the 12th round, crochet the other half of the
arm that hasn’t been crocheted yet.
