                           Recommended materials and tools:
• Dolphin Baby by HiMALAYA, color code 80353, 120m/100gr. You will need about one
skein and a half or 2 skeins.
Final size of the work with the indicated yarn is about 24 cm. Final size of your work will
depend on how tight you crochet.
•Some fluffy yarn to crochet around the gills and the tail: Mink by YarnArt, color code
341.
•Crochet hook size 2,75 or 3mm.
•Some pink cotton yarn to make the cheeks and the spots: Cotton Baby by Alize, Jeans by
YarnArt or Cotton Gold by Alize.
•Crochet hook size for the yarn 1,75 or 2mm.
•Threads matching color (similar to “Iris”) to sew the parts.
•Black threads to embroider and to make sculpting.
•Toy eyes d. 15-18mm.
•Toy stuffing.
•Long wide eyed needle to sew the parts and to make sculpting.

4. 4 decreases, 8sc=12sc.

Stuff lower part of the leg.
Do not stuff top part.

2. 6 increases=12sc

6. 3sc, (1sc, decrease)-6 times, 3sc=18sc.
7. 3sc, 6 decreases, 3sc=12sc.
8-9. 12sc (2 rounds)=12sc.
10. (4sc, decrease)-2 times=10sc.
11. 10sc=10sc.
Stuff bottom part of the leg only.
12. (3sc, decrease)-2 times=8sc.
13. 8sc=8sc+1sc to shift the beginning of the
round.
Put the work together and crochet 4sc through the stitches of both sides.
Fasten off and cut the yarn.
You will connect the limbs and the body as you go.

5-6. 38sc (2 rounds)=38sc.
You will connect the tail and the body in next round.
7. 25sc, place the tail on the body and crochet 9sc through the stitches of the tail and the
body simultaneously, 4sc=38sc.
You will connect back legs in next round.

8. Place the leg on the body and crochet 4sc through the stitches of the leg and the body
simultaneously, 13sc, 4sc connecting the 2nd leg the same way, 17sc=38sc.
9-11. 38sc (3 rounds)=38sc.
12. 2sc, (decrease, 1sc)-6 times, 18sc=32sc.
13-14. 32sc (2 rounds)=32sc.
15. (2sc, decrease)-8 times=24sc.
16. 19sc (these are stitches to shift) the 17th round will finish here, start next round with
the 20th stitch.
You will connect front legs and the body in next round.
17. 5sc, crochet 3sc through the stitches of the leg and the body simultaneously, 8sc,
crochet 3sc through the stitches of the 2nd front leg and the body simultaneously,
5sc=24sc.
18. 24sc=24sc.
Do not cut the yarn continue making the head.

Stuff the head tight but do not overfill it. Remember that you will make sculpting.

Fasten off the yarn, leaving a long yarn tail
to sew.
Find the best place to sew the spots

Use threads matching color to make sculpting.
If you use safety eyes, do sculpting right under the eyes.
If you use sewing eyes, sew the eyes and do sculpting simultaneously.
When the sculpting is done, sew the gills, the cheeks and the spots.
Use yarn tail remained from cheeks sewing to embroider the mouth.
Use dark-colored yarn to embroider the eyebrows.
It may help to add rosy cheeks, use soft pastel or powder blush.
