positioned. Insert the back of the head into the head end of the neck. Whip stitch in place using

body so that the seam in centered lengthwise down the belly. Align the Color B part of the neck
with the Color B part of the neck end of the body as seen in project photos. Whip stitch in place

Fasten off. Tie off and weave in ends. Place Color B piece on top of Color C piece so that the
shapes match up. Using an 18” length of Color B, whip stitch the two pieces together. Lightly
stuff the Row 1 and Row 13 ends of the jowl as you work for a fuller look.

Place completed Jowl piece (C side down) over top of snout, keeping Row 7 centered along the
length of the top of the snout and the straight edge toward the back where the snout meets the
face. See project photos for proper placement. Of the 13 Color B row endings that run across the
front of the jowl, use an 8” length of B to whip stitch the ends of row numbers 6 and 8, 5 and 9
and 4 and 10 together to create the part of the jowl that leads to the nose. Tie off and weave in
ends.

Using a 10” length of Color B, whip stitch the back edge of the jowl to the corresponding part of
the snout that meets the face. Tie off and weave in ends. Using a 12” length of Color C and a
running stitch, sew the edge of the Color C side along the sides and front of the snout as seen in
project photos.

Nose
Embroider in place as seen in project photos, using an 24” length of Color C.

Bridge of Nose Stripe


Using B and leaving a 10” length,
Row 1: Ch 6, TW, starting with third ch from hook, hdc next 2 sts tog, hdc next 2 sts tog – 2 sts

stitch in place so that the rest of the eye lid wraps around the top of the eye and across to the other
side. Stuff using stuffing stick as work progresses. Tie off and weave in ends.

the shapes and toe ends match up. Use 8” lengths of matching colors to whip stitch the long sides
of the leg together, leaving the hip and foot ends open. For a better result, whip stitch Color A
segments to Color B segments using a length of Color A. Be sure that you have one right and one
left leg, before you use all of your pieces.

Row 6: Ch 2, TW, hdc next 2 sts tog, hdc next 2 sts tog, 2 hdc in next st – 4 sts

Row 7: Ch 2, TW, 3 hdc in next st, 1 hdc in next st, hdc next 2 sts tog – 5 sts

Row 8: Ch 2, TW, hdc next 2 sts tog, hdc next 2 sts tog, 3 hdc in next st – 5 sts

Row 9: Ch 2, TW, 1 hdc in each of next 3 sts, hdc next 2 sts tog – 4 sts

Row 10: Ch 2, TW, 1 hdc in each st to end of row – 4 sts

Row 11: Ch 2, TW, 1 hdc in each of next 3 sts, 2 hdc in next st – 5 sts

Row 12: Ch 2, TW, (toe end) 3 hdc in next st, 1 hdc in each of next 4 sts – 7 sts

Fasten off. Tie off and weave in ends. Align one outside and one inside of back leg piece so that
the shapes and toe ends match up. Use 8” lengths of matching colors to whip stitch the long sides
of the leg together, leaving the hip and foot ends open. For a better result, whip stitch Color A
segments to Color B segments using a length of Color A. Be sure that you have one right and one
left leg, before you use all of your pieces.

Bottom of Foot – Make 4


Using Color B and leaving a 10” length,
Row 1: (heel end) Ch 5, TW, starting with third ch from hook, 2 hdc in next ch, 1 hdc in next ch,
2 hdc in next ch – 5 sts

Rows 2-4: Ch 2, TW, 1 hdc in each st to end of row – 5 sts

Row 5: (toe end) Ch 2, TW, hdc next 2 sts tog, 1 hdc in next st, hdc next 2 sts tog – 3 sts

Fasten off. Align the proper ends of the bottom of foot piece with the opening at the foot end of
the leg. Whip stitch around using 10” length. Tie off and weave in ends. Stuff Leg. Align hip
opening of leg with side and belly of body. Whip stitch to body using matching colors. Use a
length of Color A, where Color A and B sections meet. Stuff hip as work progresses.

Tail
Using Color C and leaving an 8” length,
Rnd 1: Ch 6, sl st last ch to first ch

Rnds 2-6: Ch 2, 1 hdc in each ch/st to end of rnd, sl st last hdc to first hdc – 6 sts

Rnd 7: Ch 2, * 2 hdc in next st, 1 hdc in each of next 2 sts, rep from * 1 more time, sl st last hdc
to first hdc – 8 sts

Rnd 8: drop C, pick up B, Ch 2, 1 hdc in each st to end of rnd, sl st last hdc to first hdc – 8 sts

Rnds 9-10: Ch 2, 1 hdc in each st to end of rnd, sl st last hdc to first hdc – 8 sts

Rnd 11: Ch 2, * hdc next 2 sts tog, 1 hdc in each of next 2 sts, rep from * 1 more time, sl st last
hdc to first hdc – 6 sts

Rnd 12: Ch 2, * hdc next 2 sts tog, 1 hdc in next st, rep from * 1 more time, sl st last hdc to first
hdc – 4 sts

Fasten off, leaving a 6” length to whip stitch remaining hole closed. Use stuffing stick to firmly
stuff the tail with fiberfill. Use 8” length to whip stitch opening of Rnd 1 to hind end as seen in
project photos. Tie off and weave in ends.
