The recommendations:
- Of course, you can choose another yarn, it depends on you and your personal
taste. But you should remember that the size of the toy depends on the thickness
of the yarn which you have chosen.

- You should crochet in round. Do not join or turn the crocheting if it doesn't
mention.

- If you want, you can use the marker and mark the beginning of the round.

- You can sew the budgerigar easily if you leave the long edge of the yarn on every
detail.

The head and the body:

The tail:
Crochet with the yellow yarn.

The 1-st row: cast on 7 chains. Then from the second stitch we crochet to the
other side 5 sc, 3 sc we crochet in the next stitch, 4 sc we crochet on the other
side of the chain and then we crochet the join crochet. In results, we should have
12 sc. Then, we should crochet in round.

From the 2-nd to the 11-th round: 12 sc (12)

The 12-th round: (5 sc, inc)*2 repeat like this 2 times (14)

The 13-th round: 14 sc (14)

The 15-th round: 16 sc (16)

Fill in the tail, but not very tight.

If you have a desire, you can change the colour of the yarn from the yellow to the
green one (the colour of the body).

But I didn't change the colour of the yarn in this case, I crocheted the tail with the
yellow yarn.

The 16-th round: 16 sc (16)

The 17-th round: (7 sc, inc)*2 repeat like this 2 times (18)

From the 18-th to the 21-st round: 18 sc, jc (18)

The wings:
For the wings we should crochet 4 yellow rounds. But you can do the different
colours: for example 2 of them can be yellow ones and two of them can be green
ones. So, we start crocheting:

The 1-st round: 6 sc in Magic ring

The 2-nd round: (inc)*6 repeat like this 6 times (12)

The 3-rd round: (1 sc, inc)*6 repeat like this 6 times (18)

The 4-th round: (2 sc, inc)*6 repeat like this 6 times (24)

The 5-th round: (3 sc, inc)*6 repeat like this 6 times (30)

The 6-th round: (4 sc, inc)*6 repeat like this 6 times (36)

Two rounds of the four you should put in half and crochet with the single crochets
to have the semicircles. It is going to be the inner side of the wing.

The pads:
For the pads you need the wire. I used the aluminum wire with the diameter of
1,5 mm (you can use 1-2 mm, but not very thick).

For the one pad you should cut 8 centimeters of the wire. Put it together.
Squeeze it firmly in the place of the bend.

Then you should wind round the pad with the thread. Not only wire round but to
glue it. I used the grey thread and the Super Glue. Watch the photo how to do
that.

The second pad we should do the same.

Putting together:
All the details are ready and now we can put the budgerigar together. First, we
sew the tail to the body.

Then, we should sew the wings. Firstly, we should sew the semicircles and then
we should sew the circles on them.

Then, with the sewing needle and the thread we should do the tightens for the
eyes (watch the photo how to that).

I placed the eyes of the budgerigar between rows 7 and 8.

about 12-14 stitches on the front side between the eyes.

In order to get a dent in the place for the eyes, you need to make several stitches
in one and the other side. (stitch in one direction, then stitch in the opposite
direction and repeat a couple of times). At the same time, we tighten the thread
to get a dent.

After that, we cut and glue the rounds from the white felt. And on the felt we glue
the eyes.
