Topic: On the question of gender equality
The General Assembly,
Guided by the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the United Nations International Research and
Training Institute for the Advancement of Women (INSTRAW), including its merger with the United
Nations Development Fund for Women (UNIFEM), as well as the Office of the Special advisor on
Gender Issues and Advancement for Women (OSAGI),
Recalling the objectives of INSTRAW for producing and sharing gender aware information and
knowledge, identifying training gaps on gender issues, and increasing women’s participation in the
use, production, and management of new information technologies,
 Notting that 30.9% of nations have quotas from female places in parliament as of 2022, and in
January 2023 decreasing to 26.5% of women parliamentarians,
Recognising the Sustainable Development Goal 5 (SDG 5) is a United Nations goal that is not on track
to achieving gender equality by 2030 due to an under representation in women’s political leadership,
including global pushback on women’s rights,
Recalling the ongoing exploitation and sexual violence against woman and young girls, including but
not limited to domestic abuse, gender pay gap, and a lack of access to education as well as
healthcare,
Recalling also the resolution 2242 (2015) adopted by the security Council at its 7533rd meeting on
13th October 2015, which focuses on women’s roles in countering violent extremism and terrorism;
improved SC working methods, peace and security; and took up recommendations of the Global
study,
Emphasising the importance of promoting and protecting human rights of women and girls against
harmful practises, including Female Genital Mutilation (FGM), and forced as well as child marriages,
subjecting to 230 million women under 18,
Welcoming the attention given by the UN Women to the importance of given support for those
facing domestic abuse, including the education provided to young people, especially young men and
boys on respectful relationships as a preventative method to stop female exploitation,

Deeply concerned about the challenges faced by women and girls due to gender-inequality especially
in developing countries, including violence, discrimination, sexual exploitation, and limited access to
justice,
1. Urges all Member States to implement gender quotas in legislative bodies to ensure an equal
   representation of women in parliament, with a target of 50% female representation by:
       a) Nations will promote policies that support women’s political participation such as UN
           Convention on all forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW),
       b) Nations will introduce reforms to address gender-based discrimination in political systems,
           with a focus on conflicted area;
2. Calls upon Member States to introduce a 2nd UN Women’s strategic plan, securing the goal on
   achieving equal rights by 2030, including the Sustainable Development goals by 2030 by:
       a) The 2nd UN Women’s strategic plan will focus on banning any and all economic contracts
           regarding unequal pay:
               i)      Applying to all government and private owned businesses, regarding all job
                       sectors;
3. Encourages Member States to support the resources for the provision of comprehensive and
   accessible healthcare, including sexual and reproductive health services, for women and girls in
   conflict-affected areas, and to facilitate their access to education and vocational training by:
       a) Prioritise funding and policy frameworks that ensure the deliver essential healthcare
            services,
       b) Create accessible medical centres for female genital trauma, including granting the
            nation with the right to an abortion supported by more advised mechanics in abortion
            centres,
       c) Expand access to education by creating safe, inclusive, and gender responsive
            educational systems to ensure women and girls have equal access to quality education,
            especially in conflicted areas;
4. Recommends to all Member States the incorporation of a positive gender perspective and
   persuade the education of healthy relationships, targeting conflicted areas, with a focus to bring
   a better understanding on addressing specific needs and vulnerabilities of women and girls to
   secondary school students:
   a) Professional educates will focus on implementing the idea of equal rights and social
       awareness onto the youth,
   b) Pupils will be introduced to a new subject of National Enrichment and Social Advancement of
       the World (NESAW):
       i)      The subject will be added to the nations school curriculum as of 2025th academic
               year,
       ii)     Nations will accept recommendations from other Member States on educational
               advise;

        iii)    Subject will cover equal rights, discrimination, political changes, global warming,
                national healthcare for men and women, economic stability, healthy relationships,
                sexual reproduction, national safety for men and women, woman and men as
                working classes, women and men in the government, basic psychology;
5. Urges nations to institute a penalty of life imprisonment for citizens who practise Female Genital
   Mutilation;
6. Invites Member States to cooperate with relevant international organisations, civil society, and
   local communities to promote women's rights and gender equality, and to share best practices
   and lessons learned in this regard;
7. Calls for Calls for the creation of monitoring and reporting systems to evaluate the
   implementation of this resolution, and urges Member States to provide regular updates on their
   actions to advance women's rights and gender equality in conflict-affected regions;
8. Decides to remain actively seized of the matter.
