Here are a few simple cake recipes for you to try:

1. Classic Vanilla Cake

Ingredients:
•​ 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
•​ 2 1/2 tsp baking powder
•​ 1/2 tsp salt
•​ 1 cup unsalted butter (room temperature)
•​ 2 cups granulated sugar
•​ 4 large eggs
•​ 1 tbsp vanilla extract
•​ 1 cup milk (whole or 2%)

Instructions:
1.​ Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake
pans.
2.​ In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
3.​ In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about 3-5
minutes.
4.​ Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla
extract.
5.​ Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with milk,
beginning and ending with the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined.
6.​ Divide the batter evenly between the prepared pans.
7.​ Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out
clean.
8.​ Let the cakes cool in the pans for 10 minutes before transferring them to wire
racks to cool completely.
