The role of etiquette at workplace
Welcome to our office
We are happy to have you join us, we want our office environment to be professional and respectful to everyone
Firstly, we encourage employees to arrive to work on time, had better a few minutes early to ensure a smooth start to the day.
When it comes to dress code, men should wear suits and women wear shirts and skirts because it shows you professionalism.
In terms of interacting with your co-worker, you should respect your co-worker because it shows you are friendly and build a strong
relationship.
When engaging in conversations, it is best to talk about work-related topics to avoid any discomfort.
Lastly, please avoid behavior like interrupt, eavesdrop and gossip about private.
Let’s work together to make our office a great place to be!!!
Imagine you were working in the office while some problems happened. Talk about one of these problems. Use the following
suggestions:
What was the problem?
When did it happen?
How did it affect your work?
How did you deal with it?
What have you learnt from the problem?
One day, the office had a power cut because of a storm. It happened when we were working on an important project. This made it hard
to finish tasks on time and affected our work a lot. To manage, we quickly switched to using laptops and mobile devices with
remaining battery power until the power came back. We also focused on jobs we could do without electricity. This taught us the
importance of having backup power sources, being ready for unexpected problems, and finding ways to keep working even during
tough situations.
Your new product
1. What kind of product is it?
2. Who will be the target customers of your company?

5. What does your company do to let more people know about this new product?
6. Who are your main competitors?
Our company is launching new dairy products like delicious cheeses and organic yogurt. We want to reach people who care about
good quality food, and health, and families looking for natural products.
At first, we'll sell these dairy products in local markets, special online stores and major shopping centers across the country. It'll
cost us around $100,000 to make these tasty treats and let people know about them.
To spread the word, we'll use social media, team up with influencers, and have tasting events. Our competition includes big dairy
brands that sell similar natural products. But we believe our focus on quality will make our products stand out.
Imagine that you are starting a new job in a new company. Make a talk about some employee benefits you want to have.
Suggested questions:
- What is your new position?
- What employee benefits does your company offer?
- Which employee benefits would you like to have? Why?
- Which employee benefits are not important to you?
- What other benefits would you like to suggest?
As a new employee in this company, I am excited about the opportunity to work as a marketing assistant. I've noticed the company
offers a pension scheme, paid holiday, and a company car.
I would appreciate having flexible working hours as it would help me balance work and personal life better. Also, professional
development opportunities like workshops or courses would be fantastic.
Personally, I don't find commuting benefits important as I live nearby. However, I believe childcare assistance could be necessary for
many working parents in our company.
Moreover, I'd suggest implementing wellness programs, such as gym memberships or mental health support. I find it necessary for the
health of employees.
