3. Yes, they are. Thanks to these civilisations we now have
many writing systems, naval fleets for transportation and
commerce, as well as different forms of art and crafts, in
addition to diamonds and jewellery. All of them gave
them a quality life and contributed to our advancement.
4. First, legal system because it helps reduce crimes and
spread peace and harmony. Second, writing because it
helps record history and information for the following
generations. Third, maritime trade. It permits expanding
and exploring new regions. Fourth, Architecture, it helps
building more organised cities and roads. Fifth, jewellery
it allows us to know more about the lifestyle they had.

Historical account of the Indus Valley Civilisation


The Indus Valley civilisation, also known as the Harappan
Civilisation, is one of the earliest civilisations that have ever
existed. It emerged around 3300 to 1300 BC in Pakistan. It has
been through three stages, the Early Harappan Phase, the

First, the Early Harappan Phase started from 2600 to 1900 BC.

This phase witnessed the early settlements of people, who


started to learn agriculture and domesticating animals. Second,
the Mature Harappan civilisation from 2600 to 1990, this
phase was known of being the time where the Indus valley
civilisation flourished because if the advanced architecture.
They people were able to build structured cities and
sophisticated drainage system. They also were able to do trade
with the Mesopotamians including breads, metals and even
scripts. Finally, the Late Harappan Phase. In this phase the
Indus valley civilisation struggled with many problems such
as, the disappearance of the scripts and decrease in population.
Historians believe that these problems in addition to the
environmental changes led to the collapse of the Harappan
civilisation.
